In the real world, I don't have a choice and that's fine, but I'd rather not have something added to my beautiful fantasy world that takes away from it.
If anything, I'd be fine with a system like Mabinogi has - where the characters gain and loose weight depending on the type of food they eat and how often,
but all of it within specific boundaries that give you the option to be everything from a stick figure to curvy with a little extra, but no giant heap of flesh D:

Just as some examples, look at Sarah Robles! She won bronze in the recent Olympics for the super heavyweight division, and she's not alone in heavy weighted heavy weight lifters! Talking more about athletes and body shape, these two images show a fantastic amount of diversity with regards to body shapes, definitely with a few women you'd look at and definitely wouldn't call "skinny"

It is also important to note that this is also a fantasy game. I can assure you if your tiny lalafell or waifish/sexy miqo'te and Au Ra can run around in armor all day and lift gigantic weapons with easy and also look like they have zero muscle (Also >.> If we ever get a character customization revamp, muscle sliders and better height sliders on everyone would be pretty nice) on their bodies, someone with weight on them could do the same. -
