Now, if the word isn't used in the context as often, then don't expect people to understand what the word you're referring to means. To be honest, toons means cartoons to me in the closest context it I've drew from it. However, when I read it, I've just dropped the word because it didn't make sense to me.

I am theorizing what the most difficult combination of faction leves to pull off would be, that doesn't involve any repeated leves, everything the biggest spending options while remaining as close to level 50 as possible; Here is my suggestion:

Brotherhood of the Broken Blade--- 1000 faction needed
Operation: Under Siege
Operation: Pulling Fangs
Operation: Up, Up, and Away
Operation: Shuteye

Azeyma's Shields--- 900 faction needed
Still Wanted: B'khenna the Phoenixfire
Wanted: Soft Evidence
Wanted: Violent Verdure
Wanted: Mammoth and Master

Horn and Hand--
N/A

I would love to see if someone can test this, to corroborate results, rather than offering to accept bribes... which is terribly bad form.

Reminds me of one time where someone asked if I had a mule for FFXI. I said "sure, I have 3 mules" as in 3 additional content IDs under one PlayOnline account to hold my items from my main content ID. Little did I know "mule" he was referring to was an another full subscription PlayOnline account under a different PlayOnline account name. He was offended that I had to ask what he meant by "mule".

Some feel it's offensive because 'toon is as in 'cartoon', and thus it's connotations are exaggeration, absurdity, and folly. People in my opinion have every right to feel offended when the characters they've created, put effort into, and imagined things around, are put on the same level as that, and are well within their rights to ask people not to refer to their creations in those terms. It's also their lookout whether or not they acquiesce when a person asks politely they not refer to their creative construct using a term that person feels degrades it. But.. well, ignoring so specific and polite a request is a bit... jerk-ish, if you ask me.

So.. well, I have to admit, in this case I think, from my own logic here at least, Zenaku may not have been entirely justified in asking someone not to use the word in a general context; although I think anyone should be free to point out when something makes them uncomfortable and anyone tries to capitalise on that's just mean. But he asked politely, and explained his reasons, so really a similarly polite refusal's as appropriate as bowing to his asking, or so I think.

Starting a fight over the usage of a word seems pretty immature imho, its just an abbreviation, makes things faster in conversation, nothing to get offended by, but thats just my opinion.

What is wrong with you people? Show me a real person that looks like a lalafell, roegadyn, elezen, or miqote and i'll believe you that these are not cartoons.

And Gramul you must be new to the internet if you have to punch a moogle every time you see an abbreviation. I bet you type "laugh out loud" instead of "lol" every time.

I don't like the word toon either and never used it when playing WoW, Main/Alt is what I prefered to use.

That being said who cares what people use, if people are happy saying Toon then who are you to tell them not to.
