3rd quest of this Moonfire Faire is ridiculous!

The one time I'm glad I'm not on a populated server! xD
But I really hope they do give some counterfix to this problem :c
There were some trolls on my server earlier.

Anyhow, goodluck you guys ;;

Some way I did to get all 3 bomb: Use Ninja's Doton or SMN/SCH's Shadow Flare. Make sure you do first attack on bomb and then use the item.

Is this event level gated the way the Yo'kai event is? 15th to start the event and much higher if you actually want to complete it.

They die as they spawn on balmung. How SE didnt think this through is amazing, classic SE turn something that could be fun into bullshit.

It was pretty bad on Balmung...

There were shadowflares overllapping all the spawn spots, doton being dropped, people ruin 2 instakillig the bombs.....


We ended up joining aparty finder to get it done.
4 bards, some white mages.

Put regen on all the party, have the bards rotate foe's requiem for initial aggro, everyone use nets as they turn red.

So at first it was okay.
Then many people came and thought to kill bombs to complete the quest.

But, relatively quickly, most of us decided to work together to complete this.
This is the result.

It is astounding how badly this quest is designed. Every quest in an MMO should be prepared with a crowd in mind.

This happened durling the early times of the game as well.

The level 15 duty got people stuck waiting to even enter due to lack of servers to run the instances.

People were forming lines at the start of the duties waiting their turn.

one thing ive noticed when i was in japan , if there was a waiting line , everyone lined up properly even at the airport no rushing or trying to push urself in front of someone else :P

then when i went bk to the EU , i was supprised at the ball of people waiting at the passport check in :P

"Who lets the bombs out" Hands down the worst event quest design ever. Bombs with 1hp.

And then several people responded: "Actually, the other servers are already doing this."

I was very embarassed!

Unfortunately, there are almost no native English speakers on our server.
I know of 3. One is often online and she has an FC for English speakers. But there are only 2 people in it, who I know of. But she is really kind and friendly!
Another is in my LS. He's really nice and helpful too.
The 3rd is also very kind, but he is online only once a month. Maybe.

But, I think there are many Japanese who can speak some English! And some Japanese are very eager to speak English too.
Apparently, two people in my FC speak English really well, but I have never spoken to them in English, so I don't know.

Sometimes I see people who mark "E", but I don't know their ability.
Sometimes there are people who only mark "E", but I think they usually transfer another server soon, because I don't see them later.

How are people this stupid and still alive? I always thought the world was dangerous enough to weed these people out.
They're stood there with the level 60 jobs with item level "helladumb" weps, one shotting the bombs making zero progress, while I'm there on a DoH hoping nobody touches thbe bomb before I catch it.

Reminds be of back in the days of FFXI on my server where we all lined up to do a BCNM for a new event that came out. Nice to see it can still happen in FFXIV, even if it is on a JP server.

Since your on the same server as me, can do what I did....

Seriously, I went and did a few roulettes, came back and folks had pretty much cleared out of the area, letting me finish very quickly.

Give it some time xD

This isn't something new. This happens with every event, every year. Wait a day or two and it will calm down.

farming seasonal currency to buy the seasonal items is standard in seasonal events.
Only the way to farm those currency change from event to event.

I seriously doubt people on Balmung will listen. As soon as anything new comes out, Idyllshire comes rushing in, and the chats become toxic. It honestly makes me feel uncomfortable.

I really hate this event. I really want the armor, but that dream died.

I'm not surprised SE didn't think even 1 step ahead...

If there was a British only server there would have been queues...

When the event started I suggested on Ragnarok (EU) that we organise properly and the response was along the lines of "like anyone would do that lool". I said they are probably forming a respectful line on JP worlds. People didn't believe me; they didn't believe that there is a place where people respect each other. I feel sad coming here and seeing that reality in pictures... sad for the English community. English players (in general, not all) are an utter disgrace compared to JP. We've got a crazy amount of people trolling and harassing each other in this event, shouting nasty stuff in the chat. Not just the players of this game... it's a reflection of the attitudes and the culture of our shitty countries that we bring into the game. People aren't just turning into jerks when they turn on the computer... they are already jerks through and through before they log on.

They should just remove the quest, and give us the last one.

Guess this is one of those times you log in very late and just do it then.
