Personally I enjoyed the armor set - I plan to use it as glamour on my tanks. Can't give an opinion on the housing item, as I don't have a house. The song was nice, though. And I got all the poses and use them regularly when I'm with my friends. The event itself wasn't very memorable, but neither were the past Moonfire Faire events IMO. I can't remember any event I continued to participate in after getting all the rewards I wanted, so nothing special here. The FATE was annoying the first day with everyone swarming it, just like last year, but it died down after a day or two.

Not another swimsuit or yukata = check
Fun power rangers theme (I personally enjoyed it will actually remember in a year) = check
Not a terrible grind to get the items like yokai (seriously, now that was not fun...) = check
Overall, I liked this event.
Not a fan of older prizes not being resold or buy-able on the recompense officer if you already completed the event, esp housing items,...but I guess it's just going to be that way since they gave us Mogshop. -

With previous years' pattern of moonfire fair event rewards, I was actually expecting yukatas this year instead of swimsuits. From what I'm aware, it's been swimsuits -> yukatas -> swimsuits -> yukatas since 1.0. Last year's swimsuits (which are the ones added to the cash shop recently) were unique to the bikinis we've gotten in the past, and there's only so much that can be done with yukatas so it's nice to have a break from that pattern. Especially since the event reward is something that has been asked for by the player community.

I am actually glad it's not swimsuits. I'm tired of these since I will never wear them. At least with armor, it gives me a chance to come up with some glamour ideas. To bad the top is short sleeved. That kind of ruined it for me. Not many gloves or gauntlets long enough to cover up the whole arm.

Edit: Btw, I liked this event. Nothing wrong with not getting swimsuits as reward. The current reward is still summer-ish in Japan as Canadane already informed you. It's made by JAPANESE devs, and the company maybe global now but it's Headquarters is in JAPAN and it originated in JAPAN and the first of the series was made in JAPAN. The ENGLISH versions are only LOCALISED versions. They were never made in ENGLISH or for the WEST or even GLOBALLY in the first place. It was always made in JAPANESE first.
