I'll probably stick with my female miqote..unless the demi race they mentioned appeals to me...hehe but I will probably stick with what I have :)

Staying Male Highlander, or might switch over to Roegadyn. Cat boy and female races don't interest me.
my 2 characters on XI that're both 95 on jobs were Male Elvaan and Female Hume, and I decided to change things up on 14, even though at first I recreated my elvaan, and made a miqote
I hate male cats, so thats not going to happen for me, and Im starting to miss my XI chars everytime im on, however I dont like elezens, the males seem so incredibly metro, I can't stand it, so I'll probably switch to female hyur, though female elezen has a sort of majestic look about them which makes them interesting, so I'm sticking with female and will probably change to Hyur or Elezen
Female Elezen look awesome ^
If they add an Afro I am gonna stay Hyur so i can be Sazh in the game <.<
I am lately creeped out by how my female Lala looks in some equipments... so I will absolutely be changing races come 2.0. I am still a bit undecided on which race that will be but at least I have a long time yet to decide!
I'll be keeping my current character since it's more or less a clone of my FF11 char and I like that familiarity. Would be weird to play a character for two years just to change it radically, especially when I played with these same people in FF11. I will look over any new minor customization options they decide to add though.
What. Is this stuff about demi race?
Nah.
I made my characters within the current system and I like them a they are. Now, if I happen to have a nice idea for such a character...
... Although I suppose Taemi might yet work as a male Mi'qote..
only way im changing race/gender is if i can keep my lvls
the male miquote is alluring @_@
I wonder how rare the female Roegadyn is going to be...
Honestly I hope I see at least a few of them around. The game could really use a few stocky yet still healthy females running around.
Also, the idea of a strong-arm woman coming at kobald with an axe just seems to be a satisfying one.
While I like the idea of race changes and what not, I will not be changing my race. I like my little lala-fellow. If anything, I might change his eyes/hair, assuming that's available. Otherwise, I made what I wanted.
mmm my first stance was that I would stay female mi'qote, as I was a Mithra in FFXI for a good 8 years ;p but to be honest I will give it a lot of thought to change to male, if they are "girly" I don't want to be a chiseled cheetah or anything.
Not considering changing race or gender. May change certain facial features though.
At this point, I think I'll start over with a Male Miqo'te, as well as keep my Midlander.
Part of this is that my friend doesn't have the pc to play right now and then I'll have one, more leveled character to play with him if he plays more than I do, and one fresh one to try and see the game with the refreshed eyes it'll deserve.
No way i'm trading my sweet kitty for a male cat.
Eh...truth be told I'm fine the with the way I am right now. I was a male Elvaan in XI, so I figure I may as well do the same in XIV. Still, it's everyone's own prerogative to change their character's race and gender. Nothing wrong with that. :)
wait when did they show the new hairstyles?
i looked in the 2.0pdf previews and i dident see anything,
anyone know?
as far as old hairstyles go from xi i would like the long top knot if anyone knows what im talking about.
hard for me to describe it.
Theres gonna be a whole lotta boy cats running around it sounds like lol
But I have never seen the allure of the cat race in xi or xiv, guess Im not furrie enough ^^ I will keep my male Elezen
race and gender not a chance but i will change hair and hopefully last name
I've been waiting for male mithra/miqote since I started playing FFXI, so I'm definitely switching to male miqote when they come out, I hope we can change our names too though.
I need to see the new models before I can choose. I think there on a right track. They need alot of faces types then what they have now.
Makes the game on a NPC scale much better.
It looks like I get to be one of the rare and elusive female highlanders, going by how it seems everyone is mostly interested in male miqo'te. I've never really been a fan of how female midlanders are so dainty. I wanna play the type of large, strong woman who looks intimidating in a full set of armour and can believably use that lance of hers to stab, eviscerate, or otherwise kill things, not someone who looks like they got hired as a model for a cosplay convention.
... And yet the main reason I like male miqo'te is because they aren't big and bulky (in fact I like them enough that I'll be tempted to make one a mule). But then again, normative gender roles and I have never really gotten along.
Not sure yet. I planned to switch from my lalafell to a male miqo'te, but I have to see the models first - including emotes and movement animations. Probably going to make a secondary character to test it.
I actually thought about become a male Miqo'te, but since so many people are going to become one, I won't.
Just for the sake of..being NOT mainstream xD
And it would be weird anyways, running around as a male char even though I'm female.
But ingame-marrying a cute male kitteh would be nice :o
Nope not changing was a Hume in XI for years and a Hume in XIV. Besides someone has to make the game look decent when all the new players start lol people wills see nothing but Mithras and manthras and be like WTF lol
changing female moogle highlander
I was thinking of making the switch to male Miqo'te, but like others have mentioned I'll have to see the creation options first. I also don't know if I'd want to keep my current name as it sounds pretty Hyur in the first place. If they expand the customization options for all races and not just the new genders, I might just keep things the way they are.
