Syn? conj is like level 12 >.> i only have cure 1, thm is level 30(my second highest class) Please look at my class levels again ^.^. I've been lancer since beta. I have no interest in leveling classes I don't like playing.

I was a Lancer all the way back in beta, and I tried it out because I never played as that type of class. I fell in love with it in beta and have been playing solid as one since the Collector's Edition. Hell, I didn't even know it was the best DD right now, lol.

This is a bit silly. If you were one of the original lancers you should have all classes to 50 by now.

yea I am hopeing they balance all the DD out well enough when they change classes in the upcoming update. Hope it gets rid of lnc bandwagoners

You stick to your original lancer-ness, while the rest of the community continues on to jobs in 1.21!

There's these things called "other games" and "time" some people have to worry about.

I've played LNC since beta and mained it and it's my only 50. And I'm fine with that.

Exactly. I live alone as well (or with my brother actually, we rent a house) and that's where the "time" aspect of my post comes in. As much as I'd love to play this instead of work...I have to work. So I'm nowhere near 50 on all classes, and that's alright by me.

I remember first hearing of this game when it was announced and looked at the class, personally I was torn between Archer, marauder(Because I started as war in ffxi) and Lancer. When I started on Live I was a lancer, but I don't play often and I just started again. There are so many lancers it makes me sick and want to stop, but also I feel useful. Original lancers ftw. :)

these forums have gone south... people just showing love to the class they play and you get a bunch of idiots being negative. I lost hope for you people.

you can never have to many lancers they are such a useful class.

i'm proud to be a LNC since release date!

My real life friend who started the CE with my boyfriend and I chose lnc for his first 50, it was lollnc the whole way, now its like the spammer job for that dick who refuses to share a farming camp. (same ugly elezen female week after week, try to /t and she [prob he, men make the ugliest female chars from a female perspective] won't team up, she just tries to outpull you even if you came in a trio, will try to outpull you like a dick) I'm ok with lnc being for endgame and being beefed up they needed it, i'm not ok with every spammer dick leveling it just to try to farm, thm and cnj are still better farmers, they're just retarded people making lnc look bad now when most lncs are pretty professional.

Hi OP, I feel you on that original love and then when it trends, people just think we follow the trend, copycats, un-original.

And that's where I draw the WoW analogy. There was launch, which mostly consisted of us classic MMORPG'ers. We still might be considered the dorks, geeks, or nerds.

There was this second wave of gamer a few months after launch, which consisted on Battle.net converts willing to shell out subscription fees. Some people think we're geeks.

And THEN there was the post South Park episode crowd, which seems to have left many emotional scars on people that have scrambled their opinions of the game. No longer distinguishing interface from mechanics, because the "community" that flooded afterward. And now if you don't play WoW or haven't tried WoW, you're the odd one out.

Ifrit is the South Park episode, Lancer is WoW. And now there's lots of riff-raff amongst the gems.

OMG so true, I was the only all black cat and now they are all over the place!
I can't believe people would level a class cause they got bored and already leveled their other classes.
Or already leveled it and were 50 long before you but preferred to play another class.
Please get over yourself and stop crying over people playing the same classes.

My first R50, and proudest R50. I even frapsed it. Developed CNJ 3/4 of the way for support, then took Lancer to 50 as to build the "Holy Dragoon." The fact that DRG is on the way excites me more. Getting to be the top class in a fight was like a dream come true compared to my days in XI.

Crossing my fingers that 1.20 won't bring the everybody wants to be a "THM NOW" phase...

Who knows. I'm honestly thinking PGL should be the next in line for being the "gimme now" class. Everyone else has had their spot in the limelight... apart from Gladiator... but who cares about them, right? kidding.

I don't know, seeing as how they have no real defined role other than DD. They can't recover mp if they don't have hate basically.

Well, lancer/dragoon was the only class/job that stood out to me in the release of the abilities, you have 3 tanks one DD and a buffer.

Read the action changes for PGL in 1.20 since that's what he is referring to.

The hell are you talking about one in a few? you don't have a monopoly on lancers, what next, bitching how archer is all of a sudden popular since king moogle? Lancer and Archer were two of the best/most fun classes before they got semi-nerfed, they were always popular, think the only two jobs that were leveled more than lancer were Conjurer and Gladiator because everyone and their mother wanted to heal and wield a sword, hell I myself mained in Conj/Gla/Lnc combo.

well it was my very first class, we're still the first in our breed. And cmon man people have to have some proficiencey in all classes to get things done what's wrong with that?

im not an original lancer i only became lancer because i was asked to by my LS for ifrit :-/ its alrite.... not my style but just giving support to the original lancers because people like you mean people like me can stay on their classes

lol "Original Lancer" why can't someone just enjoy doing ideal damage no matter the class? I know that's how it works for me.
