Being recognized in game from the Forums

A few times and it's kinda cool I guess. Some even made an alt on my server saying the 7 tank seph ex run was awesome haha xD.

If I've ever been recognised from the forums, no one has ever been open about it. I'm totally fine with that, as I can be quite an outspoken person.

Not really, but I do not post on the forums that much ;] I have became good friends with people from the forums though.

I ran into Ashkendor many moons ago in I want to say A2. Recently I ran into Final Spark in LotA. He took some screenshots and they're in the show your roe thread.
I have been recognized on my own server for posting in the aforementioned thread which scared the hell out of me. I feel like I don't even post that much to be noticed >.>

I get recognized actually about once a day, more often it is people who know me from tumblr though. c: It's really nice, I love meeting people and chatting with them. ^.^ Everyone is so sweet, it puts a smile on my face.

People have actually started to recognize my boyfriend now too. I'm not too sure how he feels about it, but he smiles when he tells me so I think that's a good sign. c;

I was recognized once, other than that I just poke Canadane whenever I see him because we're on the same server (and he's even in the same housing area as my friends FC that my alt character is in).

Happened here and there mostly from the Screenshot Threads. I actually got to meet someone that is actually a close friend of mine now so just talk to people :)

I sadly haven't done anything noticeable on these forums or posted long enough to be recognized, so boo. :p

I saw Ashkendor in a dungeon on my black mage.
I saw Final Spark AFKing somewhere.
I saw Seli I think twice in towns.
I recently saw Evangela in a dungeon.


I doubt I'd be recognized though. XD -is unpopular- But anyway I like seeing forum folks.

How do people usually react seeing you? I always get something to the effect of "aren't you that guy on the forums?"

Not someone from the forums, actually, but once I was in this horrible Void Ark run and another alliance's Machinist really stood out to me, so before Echidna i decided to click on them...

Turns out it was youtuber dudewhereismyspoon.
Needless to say I immediately had my heart stop and get petrified every single time, the classic "got startled and started acting like an idiot" situation.

Ran into Anony Moose a couple of times in Front lines a couple months back, as well as someone elsefrom the tank forums. I might have been... A bit too giddy when I recognized him. XD Spent the entire match spamming /pet at the Moose.

Don't think I've ever been recognized in game though, thankfully. That'd be awkward.

I never get recognized but...there was one exception. About a year ago I made a thread that was on the front page for maybe a week. Omg, I never want that kind of attention in game again lol... I must have gotten more than 10-20 comments in game about it or more during that week.

Let me just say one thing about that one thread.... Never try to test "Poe's Law"! The law is solid. Don't do it... Just don't....trust me. I know it sounds like it might be fun or something to try out... DON'T....They won't get it!

But yea, mostly they were positive responses to my thread in game. I'm quite surprised I didn't get any negative ones(Given the comments in the thread, color me shocked actually)... I guess people that understood the context probably didn't post to the thread.

Wow it's really cool when met each other from forum to game. Hoping met someone but I'm at JP data center :p

I have, in the past, ran into Mimilu (who I see post often) and Alexion Skylark (from ENTM), both were in Fractal runs too. I also see Gunspec_Daggerforge (sp?) on Ultros, and I know some one in my FC posts on the forums here. Accounting for only NA datacenters, a good chunk of names I recognize on the forums from NA tends to be people from Aether. >_>

I don't particularly stand out, nor do I post on a regular basis, but one person actually recognized me from my forum signature, which uses my WoW name.

I have never recognized anyone because I am on a Japanese data center. Sometimes I see people from Tonberry server in PvP, but I rarely get other English players in DF.

Still haven't posted in the JP forums yet.

I usually get that. Sometimes I get something really vague like, "Is it really you?" And then I usually respond with, "Yes I really am me... last I checked" since I'm not sure who they think I am exactly, ahaha. XD

I never leave my FC house, so it's highly unlikely I'll be recognized. Plus I don't post here much.

2 years or so ago when I won ENTM cycle 2 as a Lala, I got recognized a couple times. Mostly just polite /tells offering congrats. I flew past another winner in Idyllshire a while ago who managed to recognize my name when I was midlander. Now as a highlander, I bet it's difficult to associate it haha

Occasionally I'll see someone here during Feast matches. And then the attempt to 'crap, I need to be on it' usually turns into dying a dozen times as healer.

Have never had anyone mention they recognize me, but I've recognized a couple of people. Canadane is one, once in a dungeon as WAR, and another time in Seize.

I've recognized several people. Some from my server and some in DF. Dunno if I've been recognized; no one's told me. Which is fine since I've never told anyone I recognized. I see a few people on Reddit as well.

I have seen a Nep Nep in a Titan HM run I've done in the past. I dunno if that was you or not since I think Nep Nep is a pretty common name due to Hyper Dimensional Neptunia (I think?????)

I think I've seen you, once, actually o.o in a DF. For what, I don't remember.... but I remember your character name and thinking "Where have I seen that name before?" o_Oa

Outside the SGD community, I've been recognized on both my main and alt servers as well as my old ff11 server of Ragnarok.

I think I saw Canadane in LotA last week or a couple weeks ago. I don't post on here much, more of a lurker so never been recognized (or I don't think so).

3 times. ^-^ It's always super nice.

First time was in VA, was Yumi from ENTM but she had changed her name so I didn't know who she was to start. xD
Second time was Haprilona, was gathering for scrips and she gave me a Roehug. :3 She teleported before I got the chance to emote back. :C I should have sent her a /tell thinking back haha. Thankoo for the Roehug Haprilona~ <3 You're one of my favie Roe ladies.
Third time was in a trial roulette King Mog run. Someone recognised me from showing my glamours. I forget who it was now. (Sorry!) They made me giggle though by saying their outfit was gross and they were embarrassed for me to see it. x3

I had it in the first few days the servers were up for ARR but not since. I used to post a lot on the old forums, I was in one group and some guy was making a big deal about it. saying "woo we'll be ok we got charlemagne from the forums with us, making out I was famous in some way."
I told them that like maybe half a dozen people might recognise my name from the forums in the whole game and that posting nonsense on them didn't mean I wouldn't suck. Back in 1.0 it wasn't a thing getting recognised from the forums as the community was so much smaller, you knew most of the people on your server anyway.

I know I've seen some familiar names in the past, but I can't remember exactly who they were. Although I did just run into an AFK Ruri earlier tonight! I'm much too quiet and don't usually leave much of an impression for people to really recognize me.
