Even if this is true, which I kinda doubt, vendor gear is always normal quality. And thus, mostly worthless.

Those are still really bad though. I wish they would stop making those sets, they just confuse people.

I think they're always good for the casuals. Even to this day, these are only few people there are 170 with all classes. I know of one or two besides me on my server that might be and one of the guys doesn't even play anymore.

Yeah, at this point, they really don't serve much purpose. In 3.0/3.1, they were close enough that they served as a decent alternative, but all you're doing with them now is wasting your Red Scrips in the long term.

I agree 100% they are just a waste.

I am guessing will need i180 red scrip gear or melded i170 to make these new ones. I wonder if they will or will not make them market sell-able, the new ones that is. Part of me thinks that they wouldn't want people buying their way to the top tier new ones, with people skipping potentially i130/i150/i170 and i180's so might not make them market board compatible. I might be wrong though but the thought did cross my mind.

I don't think the left side will go for less than 50kk for the first month or so if it needs something like the ehcatl sealants but from the moogle/dragon tribes, so the ones who can buy it will most likely have top level gear already.
