It's not about "creating birds." It's the exact same model as the birds from Final Fantasy XI/XIV.

Hey guys, God totally ripped off FFXI. SE should sue Him!
Seriously though, pics in OP are a direct rip-off of XI.
Man I'm glad I'm not playing that game...

lol Why are you all talking about Vultures? That is the most blatant Carbuncle rip off I have ever seen..
Why on earth they saw fit to plagiarise hover birds of all things...
Roc type big birds

I wonder if these are the same people who were selling "custom monster models" for a few $100 at model websites. The custom monster models were Shiva, Ifrit, Behemoth and Omega all of which had silly names like "Grand Demon (Ifrit)" "Izatoy" or something (Behemoth) and "Cyclops" (omega).
those carbuncle models and vulture models are actual direct rips from FFXI.
you can take the models and textures from the data and import them into other programs including 3DS MAX as well as a few other professional programs.
i used to do it myself!
i worked with that carby for years trying to make my perfect besty in game, i can spot that model from a mile away.

Hmmm something looks familiar in this image... I just can't figure it out
This used to be on disney's website (JP) http://goo.gl/PcrKC looks familar to FFXI? lol
Yeah, those are legit rips... anyone claiming otherwise is clearly blind.
It's obvious they're direct rips of FFXI models. There's not much anyone can do against something from China though. You should see the amount of cartoon characters ripped off from all parts of the world for snack packaging.
Still not as bad as the Chinese Monster Hunter rip-off though.
Final Fantasy Carbuncle may actually stem from a supposed Latin American mythical creature with a ruby on its forehead, as described in Jorge Luis Borges's Manual de ZoologĂa Fantástica, rather than just the gem itself.
Well this hilarious bit of copyright infringement has shown us the popularity of carbuncle mounts, take note yoshi! Good lord can you imagine a highland hyur riding a carbuncle around- fantastic.
Carbuncle/Carbunckle is a classic fantasy creature. He also appears in older FFs, he was in V and VI and probably others, as well as other RPGs like Magic story/puyo, etc. He's a small creature with a ruby-like gem on its forehead.
Still, that model is a blatant ripoff, no doubt there. Same for the birds. ;)
