The glamour endgame sure is rough

Where are the victory poses and battle stances located? Only got to play for a couple of hours after the patch went live and tinker with a few things but couldn't seem to find those x_x
They're Main Story Quest rewards. Keep at it, champ. :p
On topic, it's been alright so far. The only stuff so far that has felt a bit disappointing was Lost City of Amdapor (Hard), for some reason. I absolutely loved its regular incarnation, but right now it's just... boring, somehow.
Thank you both x_x Will get on it lol
I got my haircut, so I am a damn happy Elezen right now 8D
Haven't done the MSQ yet, but I'm looking forward to it & yay, dyeable starter gear *A*
2 new dungeons, all newbies, 0 wipe
Easy peasy
I love the music of the dungeon "The Antitower". Its a version of an old Final Fantasy (I think I've heard it before) or a completly new composition?
Gob Rangers .....
Apart from the servers exploding just now (Chaos datacenter)....
I'm having a blast. Alex: Midas is a big step above Gordias, the fights are genuinely entertaining and funny (A5 and A7 are highlights for me). Sephirot was epic and I can't wait to take on extreme.
Haven't even got to doing the dungeons yet. But 3.2 has been a big hit for me so far!
both dungeons were fun , the design of antitower is cool , but the bosses of admapor were better imo , only tried the 1 turn of midas and :O , i loved it , cant wait to see it on savage!
MSQ ? meh at the beggining , a WTH moment , and got better after that some boring stuff in the middle .... but in the end was worth it :D
server went down so thats it for now ;)
I had a pretty fun time with people from one of my linkshells, doing Midas & Sephirot normal right after patch hit. Going to try Savage and Sephirot EX later with my static.
Somewhere, Haim Saban is poring through a phone book for any lawyer who will listen to his ramblings about Power Rangers plagiarism.
*glances at time* Three hours left of work, hour of commute and then another few hours of parenting before play.
Think it's time for another coffee..
Update: and now that I am finally home from work I cannot log in!
Stuck at work all day on a 12 hour shift. Was wondering about jobs on retainers. How does it work? If I have a level 60 Lancer retainer is it automatically level 60 dragoon? Or do you have to change it to a job and level it up again?
Ha, I wouldn't know, since I can't log in.
Joking aside, I like the Stone, Sky, Sea. If its purpose was to give players confidence, I think it's doing that just fine. It did work with me. I also previewed the new tome gear and tried the Fist of the Son. We made it to 50% when people started DCing and the whole datacenter went kaboom.
So far this patch seems pretty good! Can't wait to get back to playing.
Seems pretty good!
You have to buy a Modern Vocation thingy from the retainer Vocate, they cost 40 ventures.
I'm liking the patch so far, done the two new dungeons and enjoyed them both though they are pretty easy. I'm not keen on the PLD tome gear looks wise but that's a minor thing for me, I'll just glamour it.
Tried the Anti-tower, creepy ass final boss, but fun dungeon.
Worked through some MSQ, watched CS for first time in a while, REALLY glad i did. Not finished MSQ quite yet, but good job SE, good job :)
Unlocked Midas and Sepirot, gonna do that later/tomorrow when servers have been bandaged xD
Well, the Hildy quests alone made this patch worth it, but that's just my 2 cents.

Hehe one of the new hairstyles really made me abit annoyed on my own part for not remembering where I had seen one of them before and then I found it after googling Square Enix JRPG female characters xD
It was from FF Type 0, Cater

And so far I am pretty much loving this patch :)
Spell Speed gear for my BLM at last. Patch gets my approval. BLM ninja fix for magic stacks is a bonus.
So far so good...I logged on, picked up some quests, unlocked the new dungeons, ran both new with an FC mate. They were really easy, maybe he and I got lucky with good dps both times? Got the creepy little doll minion \o/ Then back to MSQ. Got a new hairstyle and my own private estate today, woo! When I get home I'll try mentor roulette and the Gnath quests, Sephirot, and Midas. Can't wait!! After that, regular roulettes, Hildy, upgrading dps eso weps, and trying on lore gear. :3 I'm having fun.
Main story was good and left me wanting more, things are building up rather nicely. And by nicely I mean its going to burst in one or 2 more patches.
Hildibrand story had me smiling all the way... just wish it were longer though.
New recipes... are terrible, ridiculous stat requirements and most, if not all, bound by specialist. The material list for them is still atrocious. The mats are rare, the mats need mats and those mats need mats. Ridiculous.
Orchestrarium(sp?) sounds strange, crafting it is a headache and people without a big wallet, or crafting network, or carpentry specialization will never get their hands on one.
New minions, in particular Titan, Leviathan and Garuda are for people with large wallets or with gardening plots. Who's bright idea was it to create Glazenuts, Jutes and Dead Peppers?!
I have yet to do Mentoring, Hall of Novice, Gnath and Midas because of work so I will comment on them later. From what I hear, Midas is fun.
New dungeons are... interesting. They places looked good but were horrendously small. Just hallways with and openings for the mobs and bosses. The presentation was good, but the execution was rather bland.
Music is... meh. The climax of the pieces were good but then fell flat and the volume felt rather off.
The design of the places was... bad? Yes, it was pretty and whatnot, but it did not FEEL like the places were ever used like mentioned in the lore.
Anti-tower is where Sharlyan scholars would observe and study the aetherial realm, right? Where are the observation decks and tools? Where are the books, records, and signs that people used to work there? And the final room where the final boss waits is a dead end. What?! The inner most sanctum of the place and its a dead end? Really?
Amdapor City HM suffers from the same as Anti-tower. People used to live here, and overnight it fell to ruin. So, why are the innermost sanctums where we are sent to investigate devoid of any type of sign that work was done there? Where are the relics and tools? The living quarters? I noticed several stairways that lead nowhere... what? The final room where the boss waits is OK, it looks to be a place of worship and adulation, so it could have been a big empty hall to begin with so I will let it slide.
Tank changes are strange. They changed the formula so that vitality and strength have the same pull, but the overall damage was reduced considerably. I don't know what to think about this, but I don't like the idea of feeling less powerful for the sake of stat balancing. I am also seeing a lot of people either stop tanking or plain leaving the game because of this sap to our power.
Finally, we have Sephirot. First time I went into that fight, people started leaving for no apparent reason. Went in again and it was pretty interesting. I don't like the lyrics and tone of the original music past the ultimate, it sounds like a mess and I can't make out a single word. The mechanics were pretty interesting, they certainly felt like a threat if you did not watch it.
There is one gripe I have with the Sephirot fight and that is with all the mechanics pushing you, the dodging and the way the attacks are timed, I am left with the impression that it is a Black Mages worst nightmare this patch. Not even joking. I did the fight as Summoner and I felt like my spells were being cast just before I had to move or just before I got blasted by a push mechanic.
Overall, the patch gave us lots of things which most feel lifeless to me. :(
Just my 2 cents on the patch.
What about the rest of you? Do you agree/disagree with my observations?
Let's talk about it.
Sephirot was pretty fun! I can't wait to do the EX version :) I gave the new training dummy a shot, passed the a4s one lol. Maybe at some point I'll give a shot and get my gordian bow.
Gnath quests are pretty usual, I like the NPCs though they are pretty funny :)
*glances at time, glances at coffee cup, empty...glances at time* Time for home. Parenting will be required but soon...soon, you will be mine, precious...
I was surprised that the new hairstyles are unisex ... hopefully they'll do that from now on, even though the "female" hairstyles kinda don't fit the look on a male. It's still nice to have that option available (looking at you dreads).
Based on what I've done:
The main scenario story line is up there as my favorite. Very nice character development, well paced, and it has a really nice trial towards the end that shakes up the classic "Go into instance, kill boss, win" we are used to in most story trials.
Midas is very fun, in comparison to Gordias Normal and even Gordias Savage. Sephirot, even though I've only done Normal, is a fun fight with great music and interesting mechanics. I can't wait to give Extreme a try in the next few days.
The new dungeons are the same old, same old... probably some of the easiest dungeons we've gotten so far. Though I was happy to hear the Calcabrina theme remixed for this game. Haven't really checked to see the job changes, other than MCH. Overall, very solid patch so far. Keep up the momentum Square Enix while you've still got it.
The new dungeons were, unfortunately, disappointing. I enjoyed the boss mechanics, but the in-between is still trash pulls. Have to keep dungeons as linear as FF13 or else the game might break, I swear.
Sephirot was loads of fun, but a pain as BLM.
I love how they went all Powerman 5000 with Sephirot P2. Now, this could have been ideal for Extreme P2. I mean why the hell not, go all out with this.
Liking the patch so far.
Already annoyed me. PvP ranks are useless as well as morale.
I've been enjoying it all day long (apart from the short server downtime). Really like where the story is heading. The new dungeons are not as good as I hoped they would be. Sephirot and especially Midas was the highlight for me. Gonna try Midas Savage tomorrow.
Loving 3.2 so far, Antitower is amazing, did a good chunk of the MSQ, and about to head into Midas. Very happy so far.
Like:
-Two dungeons
-Sephirot trial
-MSQ (so far...)
Dislike
-All the gear is ugly
-Crafting still sucks
Indifferent/Untested
-Hildibrand
-Alexander
Haven't done Midas yet, they did an emergency maintenance about an hour ago. Things should be back up very soon!
Other than that I thought Antitower was the bomb~ And The lost city was very beautiful at the end. <3
Oh dang i forgot all about Sephirot, I haven't done that yet either. :c
I just did the primal normal and alex m 1-3. The primal was fun, but super easy. Its ok it was just a stepping stone to the EX. Alex is really fun this time around, something fresh for a change. Easy as well but again its also a stepping stone to Savage. I'm very happy atm, its been awhile for me to find something to enjoy in this game.
I liked the Anti Tower, Sephirot coming from FFVI and the music for Alexander Midas 8
Didn't like the story and pretty much everything else, it's miles better than the last embarrassing patch we waited 5 months for I'll say that.
Other than that same old same old.
