Elezen females need new face options

If I wanted thunder thighs, I'd have stuck with female Highlander. I switched to Elezen in large part for their tall, slender build. I would hope anything that affects current body proportions would come with a slider, like with bust size. I agree wholeheartedly though, for the sake of pleasing proportion, that Elezen heads in general should be a little larger and necks a little shorter. And yeah, the pointy female faces bother me as well. Would sure love some options there!

The face looks small because of the too sharp jaw and chin. Look at Aymeric, he has a square-ish jaw and his face looks kind of normal

Face looks small because they have bodies in general that look a size larger than their heads, undress and really look at yourself elezen have very wide shoulders, so does Lucia actually, I'm guessing they used an elezen model for her.

More options are always a good thing but i can't see them adding new options for a long time (in fact they said as much, they pushed their luck adding a new race already) or adjusting existing models for that matter, people get /very/ attached to their characters and meddling with them is considered one of the most dangerous things in all of MMO-dom

I'd be more about elezen if they looked like this rather than lanky alien shaped elves.

Maybe if we ever get half-races we can get something like this, as the combination of elezen and hyur.

Concept arts tend to lie, or rather they don't translate well in-game. But still, it's a shame they look better in official art. In-game they look exactly like an Elvaan with their long necks and broad shoulders that make their head look small.

Yeah, I really dislike how Black Desert's look. A lot. I wouldn't want those in XIV.

I am fond of the tall, elegant femininity of both male and female High Elves from TERA, though. That's why I play an Elezen in the first place; I'm not interested in being "cute" and am also not really fond of larger built females like Highlanders or Roes (though FemRoes are absolutely beautiful, they're not my style to play as).

All of us needs more facical and body options not just Elezen ;[ We all look the same sadly.

Straight White Midclass Male Hyurs saying all Elezens look the same. #TRIGGERED.

See, I wouldn't like elezen to look like that. What a lot of people seem to want is Hyurs with pointy ears (as evidenced by the number of people who want to make a character like Hilda....) it seems quite redundant to me.

Of course more facial options would be great (in particular, a bigger variety of jaws or noses etc).

The neck and height are, in my opinon, perfectly fine. That's what makes us unique. BUT I do think the heads should be a bit larger and or/the shoulders a bit narrower, because the proportions are very odd at the moment. I completely avoid some hairstyles because they don't have enough volume and make me look like a pinhead :(

I miss Night Elves. :( They had a great variety of faces and were more different from humans than Elezen are (skin tones, eye brows, glowy eyes, man hands and huge ears).

Please no, i was in love with the idea of night elves when i first read about them, saw the beautiful artwork, and in the CG opening for the game.. actually getting to the game character creator i was sooooo disappointed to see what they actually looked like x.x;; if they had made them look a tenth as good as the artwork or CG i would still be playing WoW but even the recent model updates didn't help much.. actually kind of the opposite they finalized my decision to leave.

Female elezen options are limited, plus the giraffe neck bothers me to high hell, so I jumped ship to a race that doesn't look like Gumby's second cousin.

What makes Elezens Elezen is their body, not their pointy face since not all Elezens have pointy face (Alphinaud, Aymeric...), so I don't see why this picture bothers you, if this girl has Elezen proportions (long limbs, broad shoulders, small head), she would still be an Elezen, even if her face is less pointy.

I wouldn't mind half elf option to be playable. But only if they can use duskwright skin tones. Otherwise It's meh.

And why can't the faces make what an Elezen is too? You're only saying that because you don't like them. And your examples are weak. Why? Because one is a child and the other a man. The Official art is also a poor example because it shows her face at an angle where you cannot completely identify just how thin the chin/jawline is, which is your issue. Your argument is to even keep the one thing the person you're replying to has issue with, which is the size of the head. So the head size is significant and identifying of a female Elezen but not the shape? What?

This I agree with, I think if they made elezen even a bit more proportionate and added just one "pretty" face option for males they would easily triple the number of people playing them.

I actually love the female elezen I was able to make, but I'll also admit that the moment Viera comes out I'll be making a new character immediately for that very reason

Because they are basically elf-rabbits
Tall, graceful, beautiful, and connected to nature

Honestly I would like to see all the various races updated a bit to be up to snuff with the new races we are getting, because if you compare the original races to the new ones or to the unique characters in the game it quickly gets noticeable how their skills have improved

Au Ra can look as good and unique as the special npc characters for example because they look to have been made with the same kind of techniques

Now with two more races coming out the amount of polish on their models is getting more and more noticeable as the updates are released

It would be a lot of work for them though to go through and tweak all their character models and gear, given what they've said about just the two new races in terms of how it has impacted their workload it would be staggering for them to try and commit anything to revamping all of the old races to better match the new ones I think.. which is unfortunate

I'll probably go Viera but only if they have exotic skin-tones. If I'm stuck with regular human ones it's not worth it. After that I'll go femronso once they're added to the game. I will add they shouldn't have to completely re-do how gear works by tweaking things and adding in new options. They don't need to do a complete model update. Just add options. All the races even Au Ra need more options. Double all their options especially the ones that only have 4 choices like the face, jaw, ear, tail, etc. I think hair is mostly good but more can't hurt. Love more tattoos, and more tattoo colours.

I gotta disagree, she looks way too human on the right.

Honestly once they finish Hrothgar/Viera they should really take a look at either adding body proportion sliders or adjusting the bodies of some of the original races to fix their proportions a little, Elezen necks being too long is a bit of a meme of course but proportions on the bodies for the races could use adjusting (to take some examples look at Fem Roe's body shape expecially the mid section it looks a bit brickish to me, minor adjustments to the curvature of the body really go far to improve the body shape and make it look better without losing the essence of the race, chests for females could use adjusting as well as the breasts are essentially inflated balloons rather than having natural curvature which gravity normally causes). Males could use some adjustments as well though hopefully shadowbringers adds some more customization there. Lalafells as well could use some fixing their potato bodies do look silly and unrealistic though as someone put up before adjusting the balance between the upper body to make it wider and the lower body to make it less fat actually makes them look BETTER. Someone posted a photoshop of this and it really looked better with the adjustments.

Pics? Also I think it should be optional though not forced if they do it. I'm sure some like being potatoes.

I'm in full support of Elezen having new faces, females included of course. I think all of the races are needed of some good old tender loving care. Wish they'd fix the neck on them. The neck is honestly and the strange running animation is the only thing stopping me from playing an Elezen.

I support elezen having more options, and everyone in general having more customization options but you leave my lala alone I chose this pudgy body please dont make it skinny looking.

all old races need a upgrade on face and options.

You went through a lot things are bound to change, people grow long beards, scar's happen, aging, longer hair, faces get morphed would be cool after this whole time to get some options twards that even a new face to work with.

Still waiting on the XI Face #1 hairstyle.
