How many was the most times you ever grinded an instance for a single specific item?

Before HW I grind for Dreadwyrm Robe of Casting but still can't get it until now :(

140 and 120 turns 4 and 2 from first coil for caster chest and pants

I stopped counting LevEX kills at 120 but kept helping FC members, although that was less "specific item" and more "every class at 50 so trying to get every leviathan weapon"

In case you're wondering, I only saw one Mirror of the Whorl drop and I rolled a one

I'm aiming to get the healer hat from Void Ark to complete my set. Since the day Void Ark released until now, I have not seen it drop once, and I've done it atleast once every week :(

Run with me because last week I got it, and it dropped - I shit you not- twice more in that same run.

Anything with relic, ofc :) alexander 100 times so far.
Otherwise it might have been stone vigil HM, for tank body, around 50 times.

Probably when I did T11 90-100 times to get the tonban of healing... in all of those times it only dropped twice, and the first time I rolled a 1.

I even tried to solo it as SMN but yeah the Egis aren't that smart to free you on the first boss where the claws drop >_>
Though I never ran ist SO many times. They dropped as I tanked there with 2 friends and the random healer was kind enough to pass on them when I started to screaming in chat when I finally saw them x'D

yeah i tried a BLM burn first but not quite doable yet, and the since you cant target the maw until your food cant redirect ifrit to nuke it so.
thankfully my friends find it kinda funny to see what compositions we can run it in but by now theyre tired of the place
ive had EVERYTHING ELSE in the drop list drop numerous times, it HAS to come out soon

I remember that time, when my FC first cleared T9, before jumping on the recently released T10, our MT wanted the HA coat of fending.
It took weeks before we ever got it, everything dropped for everyone's main and alt classes, everything but the HA coat.
When the HA coat finally dropped, we (happily) moved on T10.
Now, every time we bring a new person in T9, the HA coat drops together with the tears of the people that were present in that period of hell.

About 90 runs or more. Before the expansion (so at level 50).
In party finder (1h to 2h to get a full party).

23 runs for the bard coat from World of Darkness is my current record in this game.

I didn't keep count, but it took me all jobs to 50 and most past 60 before I finally got the DPS boots from Brayflox's Longstop (normal.) That's got to be at least 100 runs.

Honestly this thread makes me a bit relieved

I thought I was crazy or wasting my time or have abnormally bad luck.

I renounced to bard chest from WOD. I got all sets but that chest.... .___. and minion.

Void ark for the bloody Wind up minion, idk how many runs I ran but it dropped one time..and I rolled a 34 and lost it to the tank with a 99 who caused us many wipes...many words were said.

I ran Stone Vigil solo at least 30 times on AST trying to get the Ancient sword. Pretty funny at times finding ways to slip past some groups if timed right

I have been going expert since patch 3.1 almost everyday and only seen the healer hat drop ONCE and I didnt get it. ;_;

The Baldur Blade from Fract/Neverreap. Mained DRK from HW launch and have never seen it.

Hmm..it's been a long time since, but the it was the last piece of the Cavalry set from Brayflox NM. I must've been there for over 30 runs before it dropped, but man was it satisfying when it finally did!

I waste a lot of time trying to get the Shiva Ex BLM weapon, and I never get it. I hate RNG, so I prefer grinding tomes to get my stuff.

75 kills in turn 12 for my BLM body piece. Drove me insane.

34 runs of Labyrinth of the Ancients to get the healer set....they will haunt me forever and I felt obligated to use the set for at least 2 months!

64 runs of Haukke Manor trying to get the Zodiac piece of it when it launched.

Took me approx 23 hours of play time to drop the orthodox gloves for tanks. No wait time(tank) took 2 days.

30 something times Snowcloak for zodiac item, fk that place. Seriously I could write a thesis about it.

I don't keep count, though for gearing up all of my 50s I ran ST a couple hundred times after the lock was removed

Two days of about 5 to 6 hours a day in Sohm Al to get my fiance a Gaelikitten. The victorious cry was fierce the night it dropped. The squee of joy when she came home from a rough day of work and saw it in trade made it worth it.

I ran Garuda Extreme 399 times til I got Xanthos (Primal Horse Mount)... the run immediately after that, I finally got the Nightmare mount.

I beat leviathan X about 120 times before I saw a pony drop for the first time and I also won it, I did not see any other pony drop before droprate nerfs.

I did run #41 two nights ago of t9 for the High Allagan Crook. It still hasn't dropped.

Those are the Scholar's/Argute Culottes. I can't quite tell which one specifically, though I *think* those are the Argute (i90) ones.

A while back for a primal weapon.

Leviathan EX for the axe. First drop at about 150 runs, got it like 10 runs after.
Still missing out on the High Allegan Blade I am on about 100 clears pre HW/after HW and seen it drop once.

If you really farm T12 for BLM body you will farm forever.. it's T11 ;)

My 'most' is a little embarrassing considering the numbers I'm seeing thrown around here. :'3 Way back, the most I've ever ground a dungeon... was Aurum Vale late in the 2.X series, five times, to get my zeta weapon drop. I've never ground any other instance specifically for an item more than that.

Ran The Lost City of Amdapor cca 30 times, still no Darklight Gloves of Healing.. :(

Ramuh Ex about 100 times for the DRG weapon. Lost City of Amdapor what feels like 1,000 times for the Darklight set for Monk and DRG.
