Name little things that bug you

That one player who stalls as much as possible in Praetorium and convniently shows up in time for Ultima, and the rest of the party for not letting me /kick them.

Also the one person who waits to get locked out of the boss room in the end of 24 person raids.

Getting hit with Heavy when riding through an area on a mount. Then another! And another! And another!

The milquetoast bg music for Nightmare and the beast tribe land mounts. Nightmare should be some epicness!

Being unable to queue for duty with my chocobo out. Would make hunting/beast tribe quests/FATEs actually possible while waiting for stuff that has long queues.

GF can't use her aetheryte compass when we're on a dual seater, so we have to fly, then stop, then get off, then check, then pull out the bird, then mount, then fly, then stop, then get off, then check...etc.

It's 2015 and still no gunblade glam...

When I'm gardening, the gardening messages flash across the screen late. So late I'm usually off doing something completely different by then but still getting gardening updates. I assume if it was something repairable it would have been addressed by now.

If I could sneak in one more, the fact that some furnishings cannot be put away or exchanged without completely destroying them. It's a real bummer for those who really love decorating housing like me.

Lack of communication

getting aggro while on a chocobo (name 1 final fantasty game thsat had a chocobo sysytem and it still triggered random fights)

lack of level 1 armor shop (not everyone likes the race gear)

-Flaming arrow not actually getting placed when I thought it did.
-When mage's ballad doesn't always shut off when I click it off
-That "reset retainer class" is right next to "quit" in the retainer menu >.>
-That I can't accept group invites while talking to my retainer
-That I can't see my dots if there are too many debuffs on the target so I have to count the timer in my head or just guess and hope they're still on for iron jaws <.<

E-peens, stop whipping them out, you're embarrassing yourself and I doubt anyone would find what you are showing off satisfying.

Seeing an NPC wearing a piece of gear... that isn't mysteriously locked for them. Example: The U tribe pugilist and archer types using bronze mitt gauntlets, or the healer wearing caligae... makes RP'ing or cosplaying said groups infuriatingly hard, why not have such items as level 1 pieces for all classes if various player model type (they are created player character models, not unique) NPC's can have them? (could list every example of this)

No full lower body tights, when indoors it would be nice to be shoeless and not have the "thigh tights" suddenly become leggings cut at the ankle. On that same note, we can't go completely shoeless (barefoot), bit odd when sleeping or taking a dip in the pool. (is bugging me even more since seeing Nanamo and Y'shtola in a part of the story)

Ladders... I'm looking at you ladder on the Costa Del Sol platform leading to the inaccessible deck above... or random guard tower... or scaffolding in Ishgard... you get the point, there's ladders all over with clearly visible walkways in-bounds but no way to climb them!

Light in my house, so I want my bedroom lights off while downstairs in the living room on... nope, universal lighting switch only.

Non-matching glamour sets.

You can't lock the position of the npc dialogue box. When I'm clicking through the dialogue I tend to accidentally move the box and I constantly have to re-position it.

You can't completely hide people's Forename or Surname, it still shows the initials.

I can't zoom in really close to my character with the normal camera controls, but when I'm next to a wall, somehow the game can zoom in further. Just let me zoom in that close normally. Also I should be able to pan the camera up and down like I can in the character creation. (while we're at it, just give me a free camera mode)

The wind up sun minion still shows in /idlecamera mode.

People that ride flying mounts in ARR areas. Especially the really huge ones.

People that shout for hunt invites with /busy status on.

The overuse of the word "meta" on these forums.

I want target the front enemy, but why I keep directed on behind/rear enemy :mad:

Anything that is a direct result of SE's potato servers. Ie delay on skills like HG, Bene, Tri-Disaster; DoTs ticking on the server desync and not based on a flat timer; the fact that server desync is why AS4 groups can use someone's corpse to soak mechanics; the fact that meaningful "pass" mechanics like tethers and Digitis are made supremely frustrating and clunky because they don't pass instantly; all the cool things we can't have because "server limitations", etc... I could go on.

On a non server-related note...Cleric Stance. Maybe my experience with MMOs is limited but in all the ones I've played healers' DPS moves just scaled off of whatever their primary healing stat was. Same thing with the STR/VIT tank debacle, tbh. Seems like there were much better ways to make tank and healer roles able to dish out okay damage without sacrificing their primary functions.

You can set dots to only display yours, via the menu options. It's a work around, this problem will still exist for nins etc tho (unable to see if DE already up etc from other nin or war)

Having to use the /away icon full time because of RMT tells. Having 3 RMT tells in chat log before the game has loaded logging in.

- people, minions or chocobos blocking something interactable like summoning bells and Gathering Nodes.... skfjdksks

- people who don't show any skin including face (don't be so uptight)

- changing gearsets won't work because you have 24 rings in your armoury... y u nt work!!!!

- alts on the same account not being able to interact at all. No mail, no shared retainers, no way to buy/sell to them on the MB. RMT isn't an excuse, keeping gil inside the same account isn't any help to RMTers.
- mobs that don't drop aggro as soon as a FATE completes. They just run off for ages stopping you from re-mounting.
- not being able to finish a simple retainer/NPC transaction because the DF popped
- not being able to queue for DF with choco out
- more and more reliance on timing/timers when they know there are huge latency differences between players
- targeting using a controller..... DREADFUL. It could at least stick to things within range, instead the first thing it picks is some barely visible dot miles away. It's idiotic.
- at least a page of my tiny inventory being consumed by "tokens". tokens from beast tribe fates, 4 different tokens for relic, associated gordian gear tokens, pirate spoils, ventures... just make it currency, or extend key item inventory and put it in there. Or just make it currency and not a "thing".

1. Not being able to move the chat window. (Thanks TouchandFeel)

2. Not being able to move/remove "entered sub-area" announcement display (examples: Bloodshore, Rainkeeper Gully, Ogre's Belly, and so on").

3. Freakishly wide mouths when using the /chuckle or /laugh emote.

4. The inability to display more than 5 journal entries in the quest tracker.

5. Receiving the "Heavy" debuff when attacked while on a mount (even though they could just as easily code it so you're taken off your mount instead).

6. Not having an option to turn off Quest tracker announcements and their corresponding jingle (Joined a FATE, Completed a Quest, etc.)

7. No way for a person sending a private message to know whether or not the player receiving has /tells disabled or not.

When mobs aggro you and hit you with heavy, it drives me insane. I can cope with it once or twice but getting hit with it 5 times in a row drives me nuts. It makes beastmen dailies roughly 5346576 times more annoying than they need to be.

I also find it strange that I'm riding my huge dragon I've managed to tame yet simple beastmen still want to start a fight lol

You are able to move the chat window, its just not as apparent how as the other windows.
Iirc, on PC you mouse over the General tab at the bottom of the chat window and then Left mouse button click and drag to move it. Don't remember what the way to do it on console is though, but I know it is possible since I did it a ways back on PS4.

Activate mouse mode (L1+R3) and do the same thing.

- Not being able to mail my alts
- Not being able to mail FC members who aren't on my Friends List
- Not being able to enter combat when mounted simply by pressing an attack
- Players remaining mounted when entering a building
- Companion remaining summoned and accompanying me inside, when I enter buildings
- Staying in combat after a fate has finished because of fleeing mobs

Tab targeting.
I tab from the mobs I'm tanking or dpsing to halfway across the world it needs adjusting.

2.5 second global cooldown is another thing that bugs me. I wish they used shorter animations so we didn't have to have such a long global cooldown. I can live with it but I just prefer faster combat like seen in WoW which has a 1.5 second global cooldown.

Got one more that I thought I should mention:

As a dragoon I hate how jumping skills immobilize you. Reason being is that sometimes a boss uses an AOE skill where you have to avoid ground effects right as you use it. Sometimes if you use a limit break or a jump right as an enemy does that it makes it impossible to avoid the ground effect.

When I put sleep on a monster and people wake it up. I do it so I can heal with less stress. Focus on one target.

Another little thing...my miqo'te can't actually get fully dark brown or red hair. It's always a brownish-red/maroon or a yellowy-brown. The highlights can be bright red, but not the rest. I just want red hair, dangit. :(

If the GCD was reduced to 1.5 we'd have a lot more trouble optimally weaving in oGCD buffs/attacks. That's the difference between WoW and this. WoW has a shorter cooldown, but nearly everything activates it and there aren't many oGCD skills you can weave between them.

(Then you have weird cases like Soothing Mists which I would love to see as a healing mechanic in this game.)

• The delay period between when the AoE lights up and the actual attack. I wish the actual attack would occur immediately at the end of the cast and not a second or two afterwards. Just makes it more worth my while to move immediately.

• When DPSers don't attack my target, especially ranged ones. Nothing like lining up a bunch of monsters right in front of me only to have 1 or 2 of them run off and attack the other guys, ruining all my hard work.

• The fact that tab-targeting targets everything, and not just the bad guys, unless there's a workaround for this I don't know of (still kinda new to this game).

• "Forced" exploration. Hey, if you put an anvil in one part of a zone and the forge in another that'll make em explore the zone. Makes no sense whatsoever but hey! Like having a miner's guild but no blacksmithing guild in one city, and a blacksmithing guild but no mining guild in another. Seems legit -_-

I've never once had tab select something I couldn't attack (and I've never edited my targeting settings).

Most abilities that are part of your standard rotation activate it in FFXIV as well. Practically all of the non GCD abilities are identical in usage to WoW. Generally they have long cooldowns of at least 20 seconds. I see no difference really.

The whole idea of having to queue for single-player LoV in general. I play mini-games while doing other things, like waiting for DF to pop. The current system of LoV basically defeats that purpose entirely.

Alright you tell me when Leg Sweep activates my GCD. Cause that's part of DRG's standard rotation and doesn't trigger the GCD. The point was that abilities like that still trigger the cooldown in WoW while they don't here.

I said most abilities. Believe it or not stuns, silences and interrupts also USED to be part of a standard rotation in WoW back when they did damage. Blizzard removed the damage portion of those abilities to encourage people to use them as designed sometime back during Wrath of the Lich King.

1. People who rant about how the game is dying.
2. People who rant about how healers don't dps in dungeons.
3. The same people who say that if healers shouldn't have to dps then tanks should be able to just spam flash or other aoe enmity skill(tanks dps skills are part of their enmity generation duh, but if they can really hold enmity with just flash go for it I guess?)
4. People who complain about the new relic quests/grind(really more so the ones who say that those of us who enjoy it are mindless retarded drones licking SEs butt)
5. RMTs
6. Bots
7. Learning parties(but make sure you know up to *insert part of fight here*)
8. When one person leaves DF because everyone else except them wanted a full clear(enjoy your lockout)
9. Forgetting to put Cleric Stance back on when I start dpsing again and wasting 2-3 Holy's and an Assize. >_<

You can adjust tab-targeting to where it only cycles through hostile NPCs.

1. When Mudra lag stills happens, even though the inputs were adjusted to where they are all client-side to avoid this.
2. When tanks make a pull, stop to throw a combo, I throw Doton down, then the tank continues forward to make big pulls, rendering my Doton useless.
3. NIN aoe being relatively useless compared to other classes.
4. Tanks that still spin bosses, particularly the first one on Keeper of the Lake, instead of taking hits because they're TANKS.
5. PLD getting an undeserved reputation as a useless class. It's not as bad as people think it is; Alexander Savage was just poorly desinged to let DRK shine as the new tank class.
6. Bots flash-stepping to random spots in a zone and just performing Cthulu-esque nonsense in general.

1) The invisible walls. Yes I know why of their presences, but still a pretty annoying thing.
2) Not being able to do many things while in Queue. 2 years in and I can't even queue with my chocobo out?
3) Tanks being vit focused only. Being the only class that REQUIRES 2 stats (STR and VIT) in terms of being BiS, I wish that they'd simply make Vit their only stat and make STR useless.

I have many more but these 3 are the thing that pops in my mind

Doesn't happen all the time but this is pretty annoying
"Join ____! We are a friendly social FC that's looking to make new friends, chat and [Insert ingame stuff like Raid's etc] Join our FC today!!"
And then when you join you try and stir up conversation or ask if anyone wants to do anything and everyone even when everyone's online will remain silent, players in the FC seem to have their own clique or everyone would much rather play on their own.

I think with most < keyword FC's that do this try and bait new players just so they can raise their member list numbers.
