Im curious why this questline is making you unsub. You aren't required to do it... the weapon isn't better than what we already have available. So what about this questline is making you unsub vs before ? I could understand if it was like ilvl 220 or something but its not.

I imagine it's just the straw that broke the camels back.

5 months into 3.0 and up to 3.15, we've really been given very limited content. Most of which is a 100% copy-and-paste from 2.0, this relic quest is a chief example of that.

Between the cost of the expansion, and the limited (uncreative) content that's come out, it's just not worth the cost anymore. That's what it is for me, at least. I'll cut my loses and (maybe) come back when they actually start adding new content, rather than just rehashing old mechanics and putting in content-padding relic quests.

I'm glad to see that some others are enjoying the new grind as much as I am. I never finished my last weapon, so I'm having to start from step one. I've heard what some of the later steps are, and it seems that we have several ways of going through these steps this time around. I say that that's a step in the right direction, giving players different ways to progress towards the same goal. It also calls on you having done things you might not have previously. I never really messed with the beast tribe quests much, so it seems I have some catching up to do.

Honestly, with the new relic, now I can log in and do a list of different things rather than run a simple roulette. I can also prepare for later steps so that I'm not just grinding FATEs until I feel myself begin to drool.

Come on guys show SE a little love every once and awhile

Few designs are pretty nice. And you dont need to use your brain to get it.

Thats all positive facts about it. The new relic is nothing more than a very time-consuming and expensive style-weapon. If you re dumb like a sheep, this is a weapon for you!

To help with the thought, for me personally, none of the relic stages ever made me feel, "man I have no desire to do this grind". I didn't mind doing lights cause guess what, they made it so that you could optimize your playtime by following lights and doing the best run. Doing the books was also not that bad, some leves, some trash mobs, some dungeons done. Each book you turned in increased the strength of your weapon so you actually felt like you were making progress with each book complete.

When I look at the last stage of this current relic it's a jaw dropping reaction like "Are they serious" why is it so high? This is nothing compared to the options in 2.0 and if this is the last stage for the current relic what hell will come after? They are already throwing at us 80 items gained through Alexander/Beastmen/tomes/allied seals/etc, and 16 HQ items that are crafted by 4 different crafts that need to make 4 HQ each what's after that?

When you have something that looks like it should be in the finals stages of the relic and not the start then all you can feel is dread thinking, if they think this is reasonable then what's next 1000-2000 from the next alexander/tomes run? 50 HQ items that are made with unique mats from each craft? It's the excessive requirement from the first set of quest that just kill my desire to even carry on because if they plan to make it this tedious to complete, I don't look forward to what comes after.

I've had no problems with the first 2 steps of the relic, having sacrificed my Zeta to avoid the grind and spent the day running the dungeons for the Awoken version. This 3rd step though, massive flashbacks to the Zodiac weapon grind. Probably doesn't help that people are charging 5 mil per piece of the HQ mats needed. I think they're silly, nobody has 80 mil on this server that they're going to just spend to get the 3rd level when they can wait about a week to a month for that price to drop significantly. :p

Phase 1: wouldn't know, i had a zeta lol
Phase 2: LOVED IT.
Phase 3: its fair. im enjoying doing the content needed to get items.

The party finder on Siren is full of relic recruitment. It's overwhelming. But listening to the crowd on this forum NO ONE WILL DO IT.

Recruitment for which part? The easy part? The few Alexander PF's that randomly pop up are taking forever to fill.

I love the new relics. While I would have liked individual story for each one, more like the 2.0 Relic Reborn quest, I like that they're putting a bit more story into the questline this time.

The nostalgia whore in me loves that several of the weapons share names with the Empyrean legendary weapons from FFXI (we'll be together again soon, Kannagi).

I'm also very pleasantly surprised by how much they let us skip by trading in a Zeta and overall happy with the length of the grind. I actually felt the last stage of the Zodiac Weapon questline was too easy--I felt a greater sense of accomplishment finishing my Nexus weapons when they were current and the base Zodiac weapons.

Oh, plenty of people will get the free i200 weapon that has better stats than the eso weapon (wtf, SE?). It's the complete nonsense after most people take issue with, not that Atma 2: Atma Harder isn't complete rubbish, but it's brainlessly easy rubbish you can practically play on autopilot while you watch something at least

Just want to comment, I love the way the new weapons look myself. Kinda disappointed *SPOILER* that 210 weapons dont have a "glow" to them but the 200 ones do. Also, OP, as far as I can tell, there wont be a way to glamour your weapon back to an earlier stage of animus if you manage the 210 weapon for quite some time. Think it took close to a year after they released relic to do something like that. Not to shatter hopes or anything, just mentioning that. Adding to my earlier statement, all of the weapons I have saw ilvl 200 wise has looked pretty sweet, and looking at the 210 MCH gun after finishing that 200 quest, that looks awesome too just no shiny lol
