Am I the only one who liked the books?
Not the FATE part.. but even then it wasn't RNG it was "wait then do this FATE" so it wasn't too bad.
My least favorite part will always and forever be gathering all that damned Alexandrite.

We're talking about it because we CAN'T play it yet. I'm assuming everyone in this thread is refreshing the main page while waiting for an "early completion time" message, while babbling about the thing they are waiting for.
We aren't solving problems with discussion, we're killing time.
FATE books were pretty bad on release. The amount of time people spent farming Brayflox Longstop to get the required Tomestones to buy a single book, then the fact that you had to:
Kill 10x of each enemy (Waiting on respawns 3 times)
Defeat 3 leves (Sometimes having to do extra to get the one you needed to spawn)
Doing 3 FATE's (Sometimes waiting over 5 hours for a pop)
Doing 3 dungouns (Was a lot worst on DPS que-wise back then, can do it unsynched now)
This made it a huge chore and a huge grind. The sheer number of them saw it being one of the longest steps for slowly updating stats. Tag this on that it came right after Atma - a step that required heavy grinding of FATE's for no reward (stats don't raise and I don't consider a cosmetic ilevel upgrade to be a reward.) ... yea, I can see how they hate it.
Yeah, I remember... I'm pretty sure the tome cost had been nerfed by the time I got to it but the requirements were still there.
It was MUCH better than the Atma FATE drop part, like a breath of fresh air...
"Sure this'll take a fuckton of time but at least it's doing something" instead of "Man I just did four hours of FATEs and....still don't have that Atma"
So I guess what I'm saying is I'd take like five steps of the books over randomly waiting for something to drop from a FATE.
There's data mined info on fates for low % drop rates on atma, lv50 dungeons and HW leveling dungeons and i think Alex normal mode. So pretty much all we hated.
Is that trully new content ? Cause last time I checked the fates were already in the game.
I don t know ? Maybe something like relic specific content instead of having to farm on something which has been in the game since 3.0 ?Quote:
What exactly are people hoping for?
Some people that dug around says its at least the atma part is skippable with zeta so thank god its that part at least...
Those weeks I spent becoming an omnicrafter better pay off >: D <3 (JK They already have)
No, as I understand the dialouge, you need one Astral and one Umbral Item... each of those 2 Items need 3 elementary Luminous Stones (6 elements in sum = 6 HW regions)
so it´s 6, 3 of each light and dark to make those 2 items for the weapon.
that´s at least how i understood it... but we will see soon, maintenance should be over anytime soon
(5+ hours for a 100 MB of Patch seems quite long in my oppinion, maybe they must patch the EU Datacenter with the 64k management link they span to NA xD )
Looks like atma, passable by zeta, then some dungeons, and then some kind of books again.... and finally some crafting, so yeah... just reused junk like from original relic/zeta. >.<
Copy and pasting must really take a toll on a person if it took a 2 months delay and a vacation to come up with this. At least now we know why we can't have anything new, it would literally kill them from exhaustion.
I don't even know why it took them so long and this wasn't on 3.0 when it's just re using all the content.
Yup. Atma 3.0 Confirmed.
To bother or not to bother?
DO you have to be on the class you accepted the relic quest as to get the Luminous Crystals (read: Atma) or can it be any class?
Skipped Zetas and made it through ARR just fine. Pretty sure I'll live without an Anima weapon.
More than anything, I'm rather disappointed that SE showed both a lack of creativity AND a seeming ignorance of one of the most hated things they ever implemented.
Carrot and stick approach doesn't work so well when the carrot is old and moldy.
Remember the first steps of 2.0's relic, Chimera, Hydra all the HM Primals (which at the time were a bit of a challenge) they were all fun, I was kind of hoping for something like that again.
How did making Fate grinds and spamming old dungeons take them 7 months longer to develop than originally planned.
You don't have to farm any crystals if you have zeta, just turn it in and be on your way with the quest line.
so cant trade drg zeta for the mnk 170 starter wep and crystals arnt dropping.... 30 sea of clouds fates not one drop so far all gold ranked...
good job on another missed occasion to make something fun and bring down the level of fun to 0. Useless mind numbing not-challengin stupid grinding again.
i rather have something incredibly hard to clear and have a 100% drop at least its challenging and you have FUN with it (yeah fun, whats this thing right? its a game after all), than havin to put up with this garbage, spamming 1 2 3 and spamming fates. Wow.
I really wish most of the userbase would unsub and cut these devs salary off.
First they tell you don't do it, but when you take their advice and cut the things you don't enjoy, they list all the stuff they had told you not to do the week before when you say there isn't anything left to do.
Oh, and then they tell you leave but wonder why activity is low.
What a shame... Was plenty of thing to use and make the grind different and fun, but they came up with all this old garbage.
The only fun part of the relic was back in 2.0 the primal thing.
And guys, seriously, why Atmas? ._. i can see from now the Bot-train doing fates effortless.
Really a nice idea SE.
Wasn't these actually the mob farm items? Pretty sure they said players will need to kill mobs in order to get an item of some kind.
