Diadem already devalues upgraded eso and even raid gear if you get a sweet enough roll. Might as well give VA gear the boost

tbh the difficulty seriously doesn't worth 210 gear.
(don't tell me about diadem please, this is absurd too)
I support this idea due to two reasons:
1) As a latecommer I have nothing to upgrade. The weekly cap screws new players really harshly and weapons which eat "three" caps can't be upgraded.
2) Void Ark boots of aiming are bloody white, I mean they are pure white, but wtf? Who thought it good idea to make the boots white...
By the end of 3.1, people who want/can tackle Savage already did. Others weren't going to try, even for gear. Also, my Summoner was in full eso all i200 by the time 3.1 hit (and I started the expansion in August, not whenever eso started). Never went Savage. Just upgrading the eso pieces will bring me to i210 (or close enough), and I'm not tempted to go bang my head against A3S more now than I was then.Quote:
They'd also probably have less incentive to tackle the hard raid content (folks not doing Coil was the whole reason we got the upgrade system for tomestone gear in the first place). That might be a concern to the development team that would prevent them from implementing a change like this.
Catch up patch, Diadem gear. i210 itself being obsolete the moment 3.2 hits...all says your eso is worthless by 3.2 too. Eons or not. So I'm all for upgradable VA gear. Maybe Scholar can have crit now.Quote:
I personally don't want the void ark gear to be able to be upgraded, it would devalue the Esoteric gear that takes eons to farm.
I'm all for this. I enjoy the thought of more gear options per slot, and you would still need to work toward upgrading it AFTER you win a lot, so it is still a time sink. It's also still gated to one item per week.
But seriously I wouldn't care about that if only I could dye the pieces.
the only upgrade I need is making it dyeable.
To all the people telling me VA shouldn't be 210 because it's too easy.
I'm not sure what do you think it's so hard about getting esoteric gear, also i'm not sure if you realise that ESO has been out for like 5 months and this IS a catch up patch and all this gear will become pretty much useless when 3.2 hits in 3 to 4 months.
It is mostly useless at item level 200 because of Diadem and because by the time it comes out most people are already using 210 pieces or upgrading their eso gear with the Gobtwines and Gobcoats they get from VA.
Well i don't want the VA stuff to be go up in any way
24 man raid stuff have always been an alternative stuff with 1 rank below the real raid content and it was good
It provider good filler before getting your piece in the raid.
I don't understand why it should change
And I don't want raid stuff to be overpowered by VA stuff that you can have pretty easily (by that I mean farm)
=> i do not take diadem stuff in account even if some piece are just sooooo powerful that I wonder why it's not ilevel 250
...
The point i do agree is allowing it to be dye...
Maybe a system like the old job gear
Having some items (crafted or not) that you exchange with the gear to make it dyeable
They are useful. Useful in the fact that there is an ESO cap and my other jobs can't get gear love right now which is what the 24 man has always done. This is no different to me than when I cleared Syrcus Tower. Let me upgrade my main's esoterics and make my other jobs geared for newer content.
Don't see the point.
Previously it took you 3 weeks to buy one i200 piece. Now in that same time you can buy and immediately upgrade one piece, plus get 3 other i200 pieces. Yet that apparently isn't enough for people. If it's not silly claims like "it's a catch up patch so I should get everything now", it's " the gear is gonna be obsolete anyway so might as well just make everything i210 now".
Anyways they never did this when people wanted WoD gear to be 130 so they're not going to do this now no matter how much you cry for it.
I don't really care.
24 man raid is supposed to be a catch-up thing, but Diadem ruined it all, so meh.
For all I care, they could remove the drop lock on the ark, I'd be happy to farm it for glamour.
Though to make it fair vs eso gea, they could put a limit : chest and legs need 3 weeks worth of VA tokens to be upgraded, gloves, head and boot 2 weeks, belt 1 week. Dunno
Yea at first I would've been against it, but I mean hey Diadem is here so whatever.
