I love having more stuff to be able to do with my fc.
I love how most people who are happy in this game enjoy the simple, more social things :D
Most of it falls in the category "friends, housing and glamour".
1) I love glamor. The system may not be perfect, but I played before we had the glamor system.
2) Events, especially seasonal ones. My boyfriend and I do events together whenever there is one and it's one of my favorite things to do together. :D
3) Titles. I came from a game where having titles directly effected your stats (+INT, +STR, +HP, ect) and status (having 400+ titles made your title golden above your head) and they were really grindy titles (ie. kick 10,000 mobs to death for +1 STR)... it makes me glad that the titles here are mostly cosmetic (even though people use Savage Coil titles as a status symbol of their PvE capabilities). Though, I do miss my Guardian Angel title.
4) Pegasus mount makes me happy. So pretty. o3o
5) Commendations probably make me the happiest out of everything. I love getting them and I love getting rewarded for them.
6) PvP. Though it could be better, PvPing with my friends makes me happy. :)
Wonder what Mr. Happy would reply here..
Currently Thordan EX makes me happy. Music is great and found some really cool peeps to run it with. So yeah.
Void Ark is fun too, and I'm enjoying it.
Running Diadem with FC members makes me happy too lately.
Skits. I love little plays people put on in this game for some reason. Even the roleplaying is engaging (well the appropriate ones).
Hildabrand. Loved these quests. so much fun and just felt necessary after grinding for so long doing pretty much a bunch of trivial uninteresting tasks.

Yeah, call me crazy, but our FC <3 Airship Exploration missions
/equip <item> "Flame Shield"
The iroha collab quest. Just that. The rest is just getting out of hand (I'm talking about you cash shop!!).
New sit animations when recruiting in pf and afking all day because they are very more natural during transitions.
whenever my retainers give me thing of *value* other than chubs, lominsan anchovies, etc.
This past week alone I received over a million gil worth of stuff that i sold :)
Aside from having a fabulous wardrobe? :D
What makes me happy is how our actions have consequences later on, not all for the positive. You naively trusted Laurentius? Ooops, that jerk stabbed you in the back later on. You inspired Edda to brave on with adventuring despite the loss of her fiance? Oops, she got involved with a cult and is into necromancy now. You fought Diabolos in Lost City of Amdapor? Ooops, now he's gone and liberated the Queen from the void ark.
That is classic Final Fantasy storytelling and I love it. Good deeds can have unintended consequences.
I also like the fact that if you didn't want to be the Warrior of Light, you could stop doing the MSQ after level 15 and just make a living as a merchant or farmer. You'd miss out on 90% of the game, but that option is totally a viable one.
Flying. I really just love going into the HW areas to fly.
I need to second the guy who said Fell Cleave because the three Fell Cleave opener is BAE.
I love the feeling of succeeding at a difficult instance, triumphing over a tough fight with my group. Like clearing Turn 5 for the first time, and other skin of our teeth victories.
I love the feeling when you complete a fulfilling quest or storyline, like maxing out a beast tribe, or concluding the main scenario of this most recent patch.
That feeling when you find and glam a piece that really represents the look and aesthetic you're going for.
When you have an awesome run with DF peeps.
And that feeling when your performance is just On Point...and you get all the comms. \o/
Loveee the library's graphical design :D

Light hearted comedy cutscenes like the hildabrand questline and some other side questlines that are either heartwarming or humerous. A hero gets tired of saving the world on a daily basis.
Seasonal events and Thancred
Pretending to be a female cat girl and having horny guys stare at you while pretending to be AFK in Idleshyre. Also guilty of it myself at times /blush
Male elezen make me happy :)
Petting Lalafells
My house, playing as MCH, and the glamours.
Enjoying the story, playing as a Miqo'te and Au'ra, playing with my character's hair, and collecting gear that looks good on my characters!
Just couldn't resist allowing there to be a thread without cash shop qq, could you? lol.
As for what makes me happy?
1) Looking in my inventory and seeing that my Eternal bonding anniversary with my irl wife is coming up very soon, and it happens to be on our irl anniversary as well. It was amazing we got that lucky.
2) My Private house
3) The people in my (very small) FC
4) The Ninja Mudra fix
clearing hard content. trying out new content for first time.getting drops mats mounts minions etc. having so much crit i crit alot. seeing a crit in lafge flying text on screen.going into a duty with very little wait time
My FC mates and friends make the game for me. Listening to them chatter away while planning their duties, helping each other, celebrating successes, joking with each other, and just having a good time. The game itself has such amazing scenery and music, it is easy to get lost in it. Lastly being able to play a game reasonably well, despite my real life disability.
Thanks for this positive thread.
Having a whole matching set of gear makes me really happy. Honestly glamouring is tedious, I gotta find out what each piece needs, then go to mb to buy the materials, then glamour each individual piece. I mean, I still do it, so my BRD doesn't have a gordian arm piece, new dungeon pants and shirt, and void ark boots and hat and just looks silly.. When I have a whole relevant matching set I'm just so happy.

Did a Saint's Arboretum run where most of us were new, with one person as a guide, learning and cooperating while surviving through was amazing :) Loved this dungeon!
So much makes me happy.
I enjoy my free company and discussions I have with my friends. It is one of life's pleasures to be with people whom share a common passion with you. In our case, it's fantasy gaming.
Lalafells always bring a smile to my face. Not only do I enjoy playing them, I enjoy watching other players with them. The happiness they exude is just contagious.
Healing is always a blast and it has allowed me to make the acquaintance of a lot of good people in duties.
The world as a whole is amazing but I love watching sunsets, the stars, and the ocean waves the most. Just being able to take my time and watch what the developers and art team have created is such a wonderful experience. I am in awe of the in-game weather and enjoy "windy days" where Kacho's hair is fluttering. It was a perk experience moment when I went into Ishgarde and became immersed in a photo realistic snow shower complete with blowing snow and ice on the roads!
Sorry, I'm babbling. My pain meds do that. :D
But what I mean to say, is I get so much joy out of being in a WORLD with you all when I'm a near shut-in due to severe fibromyalgia. It means so much to reach out to people from all over and have an adventure together. Sounds corny but it's how I feel. :)

Seeing another female roegadyn makes me very very happy. So happy that I might let the tank die when I'm too busy taking screenshots of said beauty. It happened once. I'll never forget it.
/ashamed
Also class/job quests make me happy. They are why I put up with tanking through dozen dungeons that I really don't want to or why I keep doing those same boring leves over and over again. New stories and characters. Dat's what happy Happies are made of.
Honestly? Everything, minus getting the dang tomestones! I hate trying to get a whole set and then while I'm leveling ninja I see the set and go
"Oh..oh I need this." And then start spending tomestones on that. X.x. But I've been playing this game since beta, and everything about it makes me come back. I don't mind the grind because I'm having fun. Minus relic, never completed an old relic. Those books are Satan.
Let's see:
Story, Miqo'te/Au Ra girls lol, FF Legacy aspects and how they're integrated, playing/socializing with and/or making new friends, glamour of course, exploration (especially random little things that are lesser seen), raiding, pushing myself to conquer tougher challenges, Moonfire Faire, and humorous macros.
Fave characters: Kan-E Senna, Minfilia (besides the 2 obvious reasons why, I believe she's the sleeper badass of the Scions), Alphinaud (Heavensward has given me a better appreciation of him), Yugiri, Thancred and Y'shtola as of Heavensward, Godbert, THE SKYBEAR (he reminded us all to never stop believing, lol), and believe it or not, Edda.
The thing in this game that never fails to put a smile on my face are:
Doing things with friends; so many fun and crazy people, I love it
The story: I never ever try to guess of speculate whats gonna happen next so when story expands, I am like :D all the way.
A good death flare in the face of a big mob of enemies >:D Flare used to do this but since its nerf, not happening
Totally destroying a huge pack of mobs in a dungeon with a double summoner or summoner + black mage combo
And finally, although has not been been making me happy recently, getting a good piece of gear I have been saving up weeks worth of tomes for
You guys don't know, but my luck with loots is terrible, so much so that I have just flat out given up on any sort of loot that can be considered an upgrade. Like the Void Ark gear by patch 3.1. That also put a smile on my face. No more void ark farming, woo!

This lovely group of people are what make me happy and keep me logging in everyday.
I enjoy logging in everyday and seeing their happy faces, they're my everything and they're amazing.
Other than that, the story keeps me interested as all FF games have done. The quirky glamours people come up with, it's always a nice little laugh when you see a half naked male lalafel running around with an afro and metallic gold speedos on.
What always makes me happy is knowing where I can find Thancred, and also rewatching his cutscenes. As such, 3.1 was literally the best thing to happen to me lately in the game. Not only is Thancred back, but he's back in style, and he proved he can hold his own against a Warrior!
Krile was also a delight, and so was finding out that we know where F'lhaminn, Hoary, Yda and Papalymo all are, and that we're likely well on our way to finding Minfilia soon too! Being back in Rising Stones with Thancred and Krile is so relaxing, and the great new idling camera has some beautiful shots in there.
Other things that make me happy: among other players, there are a few whom I can trust and who are so fun to hang out with or just PM. Minions: those are always fun to collect, but I just wish that the MogStation ones would go to all your characters instead of just one of them once you've paid actual cash for them. Mounts: I just love flying around on Midgarsormr, or riding either the Manacutter, my personal Othard blue chocobo Zack or my draught chocobo. I also love getting new achievement items whenever I can. I'm also strangely in love with the Think emote, it looks pretty great on female Miqo'tes. In addition to the above, I just generally love rewatching MSQ cutscenes every once in a while. Really, the game is nothing without the story. And finally, I just love listening to the beautiful music of areas like Rising Stones/Waking Sands and Matoya's Cave.
With regards to 3.0, pretty much the only things I liked were the few good bits of music that it had, the few good Elezen NPCs that we interacted with, all of the dragons in general (including Nidhogg) and Ysayle. The rest of it can go screw itself, cauz it was annoying to blunder through quests and bounce back and forth between Ishgard and the rest of Eorzea. Really the only good thing that came from 3.0 was that we got Y'shtola back, but generally speaking, Ishgardians are annoying and their wintery weather sucks.
