FF14 freezing/crashing since patch

Happened to me twice. I was shocked as well.

Had another freeze, using the Limsa aethernet to go from the center to the aftcastle..

Game crashed 4 times within 15 minutes. Really annoying. I'm on PC.

Yeah it happend to me like 3 times, teleporting.

Happened once to me in 5 days (PC)

Happened about 3 times in 3 days for me since the new patch. Never happened before.

It's happened to me and a couple of friends a few times since the patch release. We all play on Playstaion 4 with the exception of one friend who's playing on PS3.

It happened to me like 4 times the last weekend and it never happened before the patch. Most of the times it was during loading screens.

Happened again today, when I was just loading the friends list...the whole thing crashed. Weird to the max.

And it happened again teleporting to Ishgard. Only the ff14 app freezes. The ps4 keeps running just fine.

It happened to me once again this time i was doing a favor i lost out on almost the whole favor because of it. I've seen a bug report that was accepted about it, but the only one i see only reports the game freezing during teleport which is not true. The game can freeze other times as well i know it doesn't freeze specifically because of teleporting, because it's happened to me when i was afk or just standing around. I'm getting very frustrated every time this happens and it saddens me so much to see that they are fixing less important issues right away and this has still gone unattended.

Oh yes it's happened to me also while running not just teleporting. I just mentioned like most of the times it was during a teleport.

I'm on the PS4, and a little after 3.1, it started off with the game just crashing, followed by a PS4 error code. Shortly after that, the game itself would be freezing through teleports, or entering and exiting buildings, such as my FC house, forcing me to quit the application and start it up again. On and off topic, I'm also experiencing a Duty Finder bug where it marks me as 0/2 DPS instead of 1/2 or 2/2. Square Enix needs to put more effort into their maintenance if I have to be honest T_T

I've had two freezes on PS4 since patch. Used the PS button to close application and relaunch. This didn't used to happen.

Game freezing on PS4 is happening for me quite a lot since 3.1 patch.

It happens:

* Most of the time During Teleport.
* Sometimes at the end of Cutscene.

Really hope it's fixed soon.

Since patch, it happened twice. Both times I was running around Sea of Clouds.

I'm on PC and this has happened to me a handful of times.

It would seem I am not the only one worrying about this. I am on PS4 and the game has frozen a few times this past week as well. Every time it has happened, I have been in between areas, denoted by the black screen and the loading symbol to the bottom right.

This has happened when going into my FC house, right after training my chocobo and during teleporting. The way my PS4 responds when it happens makes me think it is a genuine crash as I could hear my PS4 revving down as if I had closed the game application.

Recent hotfix notes suggests this was fixed, but I still got the issue last night :( Game froze when teleporting on PS4.

Bumping this thread to say its definitely not fixed. My game froze on the 2nd boss of the Void Ark 20mins ago, yesterday, and the day before. Basically on almost every runs.

are you on PS3? heared this from a few PS3 players that the game freezes in the void ark, especially the 2nd boss. probably these black aoes are too over-animated and the PS3 can't handle this?

Do people really not know how to use forums?...

Yes i am. It probably occurs more often on PS3 but some of my friends on PS4 had this happening as well.

About the Aoe part, i think you're right because some time ( when i havn't froze yet ) those black Aoes dont even appear on my screen, i just see the "clams things" coming out of the ground when its already too late.

PS4 here and still an issue. I was idling in Mist while browsing forums and the game froze, then maybe 30 minutes later froze again while teleporting to Limsa. :(

I had this happen to me yesterday in Sea Clouds. Still needs to be fixed.

Today for me it's impossible to play every time I teleported it freeze the game. it was or just before the screen went into loading, or during the loading or when I appeared at the wished destination. i just stopped playing, didn't even want to try doing dungeons because of this. Before it would happen once or twice in the whole evening; today is unbearable. I am on ps4

Square knows already.
