While I do enjoy my current, sexy hairstyle... I wouldn't be opposed to giving that one a shot. I really wanted to try out one of the ones they had displayed on their 14th anniversary live video when they mentioned the contest, though.

Utterly mind boggling whoever gave the final approval on that afro lol just......no.

The others are ok. Clipping or not, I still would have preferred waist length hair.

I don't know, here's a few from PSO2 from 2012 (scroll down a little). This was from a few years ago and they have added more. I feel like there is a lot they could do with hair tied up and done a lot of different ways still. Long hair is harder due to clipping but I'm definitely not adverse to them going for the fantastic a little more than the somewhat conservative "realistic" style they have going on (again, aside from that afro, because there is nothing realistic about that at all lol).

This list is a bit closer to full CLICKY, but is missing the most recent ones they added, as well as the Guilty Gear and Blazblue stuff. Yoshi should 'borrow' the whole list to add in-game

Damn, some of those are really ugly, but I guess there's a lot of variety. Too many anime-esque hairstyles to be honest. Not a fan of most other than these two (1) (2) but it wouldn't hurt to appeal to those who like them. I wonder how long it takes to create hairstyles, FFXIV does certainly maintain a higher quality than PSO2 when it comes to visuals though and doesn't bank on selling cosmetics so the priorities aren't focused too much on hairstyles I'd imagine.

Only if they are not event rewards or Golden Saucer prizes. Those tend to be character specific and not account bounded.

I'm pretty happy with them! As an avid supporter of the "No More Bangs!" movement, I'm happy we get a version without.

...that afro, though. >.>; lol

I also like that last line: "There are still some more hairstyles to choose from in Patch 3.1 so be sure to keep an eye out!"

Hopefully that means more than just the winning hairstyle from the contest. ^^

Afro is gender neutral, males have the two shorter styles and females the two longer ones.

...You mean that you hope they are in the Aesthetician menu? I mean, if they were only in the character creator and not with the Aesthetician, you'd have to use a Fantasia to select them on a character ^_~
But yes, so far all released hairs -- unless they've been event-specific (FF13, Eternal Bond) or MGP-bought -- have been both in the character creator and with the Aesthetician.

It's been confirmed in an earlier thread that the afro is unisex. And yes, the second afro is indeed on a female lalafell.

The afro is amazing. I'm so glad both genders get it!

That said, I'm loving the wavy + no bangs style on that lizardgirl in the middle. It'll let me achieve a look that I've been wanting for a very long time, though it might end up being on an alt character.

This oughtta be the best hair update patch yet. :D
