Which words or comments make your blood BURN in PvP?

Join as a DPS in progress, see that there are no healers in a party, change to healer. While running to the party that is fighting and dying, I see those messages:
"Healer, wtf are you doing? Heal me!!!!!!!!11!!!!"
"Use stoneskin and protect!!!!"
"No one healed me."

Lately I have seen a weird trend in Chaos dc. I've been in every GC by now. I've got my Maelstrom horse, my flames horse and about 25 wins left for my adders horse. So I've had people changing GC (to Adders) and then they proceed to heavily insult adders, support other GC and die on purpose.
We actually had someone who spammed a macro in alliance chat with "ADDERS ARE SHITE <se.1>" on top of it he purposefully died all the time. At some point we were at 786 points and that guy had died about 6 times by then :/ Then the other GC pulled of a comeback and we lost. If it weren't for that guy we would've won.
Like...that's not just trolling, thats quite psychopathic lol

Edit: Note that I do my best no matter which GC I'm in. People who know me should know that.

I also recently changed. Having the luck of finding a player that was on flames spamming you all suck i am not contributing. He got booted repeatedly after he said he wouldn't play anymore. People think these players are trolling the GC they are in. These people are just miserable human beings. They act the same no matter what GC they are in. You just don't get see how they behave in other GC. In other games or forums they would have been named and shamed by now. Umm...perhaps because you are soloing on the other side of the map?
Perhaps even instant heals aren't enough to keep you alive? (they have a delay sometimes)

I don't like the comments telling people to go "kill themselves" or to uninstall because they are all shit, blaming everyone else.

edit- also dont like it when people get all defeatist after like the first pop. "GG you guys all suck!" uh we're only 150 points behind.

I really hate it when you get these special type of defeatists that blame their GC for being bad, then proceedes to not give a shit about winning and instead just goes yolo around the map. You know, because they aren't the part of the problem whatsoever.

Another thing I hate is when my teammates play passively unnecessarily, telling everyone to stand still and do nothing. In seize, when RNG is not in your favor you have to push or you'll lose. This is especially annoying for someone that plays a very aggressive warrior, being confined to just sitting there at a node doing nothing.

This coming from a healer who called me out on my 3 deaths because my dp was only 58k overall. He also forgot to mention that I was 6/3 with 58k damage, and 2 node caps. Some ppl and their tunnel vision; go play Slaughter.

Using sound effects in chat is fine, and often effective, but spamming it just makes you an annoying douche. Nine times out of ten the kind of person who spams sound effects is the kind of person whose orders you want to ignore.

Humorously enough, we tend to win most matches that have naysayers in the first round. I feel like people try twice as hard just to prove them wrong.

While i would agree that sometimes playing over-passively is a bad thing, sometimes the alliance is better off holding that A rank on the high ground, particularly if you get a 2nd node somewhere. On saying that though when it is time to play aggressive people either waaaay overextend from their healers or don't push at all.

On the subjects of comments that make me BURN well there's one that stands out; "Focus the <GC>!! <se.XX>" if you ask me this is kinda pointless because either A: the GC shouted about is probably already in a very strong position and unless the 3rd GC is already attacking isnt usually worth trying (a sandwich) B: the GC not mentioned is focusing their efforts on yours to the point that you cant do anything about the mentioned GC until its either too late or otherwise or C: too many lone wolves in your current alliance that you cant make a solid move against the target GC (or node in general i guess).

The thing that pisses me off more than anything else:

"I don't really care if we lose, I'm getting Eso anyway"

I can't believe I forgot that one. Yes. More than any other comment in PvP, this is the one that infuriates me the most. Depending on how bad of an influence the person has been, or if they've been trolling, this is the only comment that has ever come close to prompting me to pop an vote/kick in a match. The problem is that a lot of these (insert several choice swear words and derogatory terms) usually save this particular comment until near the end of match, which is like a smack in the face to the actual PvP'ers who have a vested interest in actually trying to win.

The problem is that most people use it as an excuse to hide.

You'd be amazed at how easily a match that seems like a landslide victory for one GC can turn into a heated contest between all 3 if the two losing GC's are just willing to take the risk and hit that well defended target. Most of the time they settle for fighting over second because of sheer cowardice. No one wants to make the fist move on the big dog. They wait for someone else to do it and then jump in if it seems like they might win scraps off of the sandwich.

I feel blessed for being in a relatively respectful datacentre group. If I had been told some of these things (especially as a healer) I'd have really lost my temper.

For me, the worst communication failure of all is the opposite of the topic; a group where nobody talks and relays information. I get quite upset about it. Even the reminders not to chase people too far are useful - in the heat of battle it keeps everyone focused and I don't take it personally. It's not like the leader knows what I have in mind when I charge out to intimidate someone who is poking at us then jog back to the group.

One other thing I find interesting is that even though I play PVP 100% in Japanese in a datacentre without English-speaking servers, the things everyone says are quite similar (albeit without all of the personal attacks and accusations, from the sound of things - and I've never heard anyone so much as mention esoterics in the chat). "Don't chase", "Group up", "The next pop is up soon so spread out", "Defend this node"; it's all universal advice and very much appreciated in the chaos of battle. Nobody's forcing anyone to read it but I find that the more vocal and decisive the leader, the better everyone on the team plays.

I've never seen that line myself, but I've seen plenty of tanks marked with a 1 while there are healers nearby. It's somewhat excusable when they are battle high (although even then you've really got to take out the healers first), but I've even seen tanks marked who didn't have battle high/fever. What were they thinking?

When people say... "2nd place is better than nothing" no... no its not.. stop.

Everything over the top negative, way too early. Especially the dudes who go "im done with yall scrubs, AFK". Complaining lots in a match that was pure SLAUGHTER- any place, any time- and scoring <50k heal or dmg (on healer or dd)

I hate when a single node spawns near your base at the start of a match and people think it needs to be flagged!!11!
Other than that I'm pretty okay with it since I can get completely caught up in a situation and forget to check the map or pay attention to what's going on with the nodes. Other comments I dislike are:

-"Flames/Mael are premade" whenever an opposing team shows a decent amount of coordination.
-"GG" when used satirically.
-Anything involving the term "Badders".
-Excessive criticism regarding how the team isn't behaving in a coordinated manner when no-one, not even the person complaining, is making any effort whatsoever.
-People who criticise someone for not being omniscient when they attempt to direct a party when no-one else will.


Ah, and this only happened once, but it was probably the most aggravating thing of all. At the beginning of one match while waiting for the barrier to drop, some particularly loud player was talking through alliance chat and said something like "Had to farm Wolf Mark seals to get this piece of gear. The things I do for glamour!".
I honestly had to bite my tongue on that one because that was so f**king frustrating to hear someone comment about how some stupid Wolf Marks were hard or time-consuming to farm, meanwhile the Lionliege top and the Black & White Mage equivalent that a friend and I had to farm all the way to 36 and then 42(?) for had recently had their rank restrictions completely removed and made free to anyone who didn't waste months upon months of farming PvP exclusively for.

-"Don't tell me what to do!" Or any variation.
-People who will contest calls for the sake of contesting them and no other reason.
-People who will complain about no heals, AND THEN PROCEED NOT TO HEAL. If you want healers so bad, you fucking do it.
-Anyone who bitches at the healers for not healing well enough.

"Lol, who cares about PvP anyway? I'm just here for the tomes!"

is it really worth it having the guy who gets within the top 5 of overall damage and 3-8 kills to switch over to healer if he or she has it?

3-8 is nothing, without an heals a team will fail unless you literally have a team that sticks completely together which like never happens. Any that complains about hqling really should go as one and see what it's like.

It's easy to heal if your team sticks together but majority of these asses are too busy playing hide and seek.

I hate it when your literally 20m from being able to do a "sandwich" and someone says either "node not worth it" or "new nodes" they dont understand
that u can attack for 1min get some kills and retreat or even leave 2-3 ppl behind.. to me they must think they spitter cell will move when 2 gc have been attacking
for 2mins... i hate "not worth it" or "node only 20%" i even heard someone say 40-50% not worth it... when is node ever worth it and are they not thinking
there is more then 1 step towards sandwich. Ur in good position to retreat etc etc...

if you want "new nodes" play nodecraft.. this is player vs player not node vs node.. nodes are important but kills give you more points at times.

Adders seem to do that alot.. like other 2 gc attacking and we do nothing... abit sus sometimes
ur not in the middle so shouldnt be stressing too much.. games are 14-16mins long

And then one of the guys that just died manages to cap the A or S rank nodes that just spawned when everyone else was locked in combat on the other side of the map.

You usually get more points for having free reign over a majority of the nodes than you gain from the kills, along with not having a vengeance seeking GC after you.

That would be great, if executed well, but in my experience, the vast majority of the time, this leads one or another GC getting their bloodlust up, and the retreat never happens. Either your GC forgets about the new nodes and continues to attack the sandwiched GC and/or the sandwiched GC gets pissed and hounds your GC as they try to retreat. Either way, the third GC is left to get all the new nodes, uncontested. If leave the two other GCs to fight each other over a dying node, then you're the company that's free to pick up 3-4 of the new set of nodes.

The one thing that pisses me off about PVP(Own team)

People that insist you heal. So what i have a heal job? I queued up as a tank, or a DPS. I healed the last X matches because people were to lazy to step up
But hey, Lets stop right there, I know for sure you have a heal job to, Why don't you heal yourself as you're the one that is crying we do not have enough healers.

And ofcourse the people that go GG(Sarcasticly and themself underperform when you look at the SB at the end) And ofcourse, Blaming the RNG for the disaster of this match.

Always have to blame something or someone, as long as its not themselves.

Thats what I mean about the "backfire" concern. Avoidable by quick sandwich. The problem is tunnelvision. Go in, get a few kills, and get out. Before they start chasing. Even 10-20 secs could be enough. If a GC gets pressured from both sides, chances are high many of them try to escape. But if you overstay your visit they will chase you back. This happens in most flank situation I see as peeps don't know when to leave; the concern is real.

Sure, if nodes are about to pop/die, wait. Seize is very situation based; acting quick is gold.

teams take advantage of sandwiches either capping the non protected nodes or coming up from behind or both or abit of both.
People will take advantage of it just cus u didnt doesnt mean there not cus u didnt.. happens all the time and i facepalm when other gc do it
and no killing when coming 3rd place or 2nd AND team is 50pt from win and ur 250pts killing is only thing stopping u from winning
plus attacking(not all the time) has the benefits of taking pts off, attacking helps put you in advantage rng spreads. Just saying.


but i understand what people saying that tunnelvision or bloodlust total negates the positives, but it also gives them more expereince
in attacking.. opening the map is vital to assess, ppl should do it more so they can find advantages to get those more kills instead of chasing that 1 guy wanting a kill

thats a issue, people thinking that a sandwich is a 5minute commitment when really i only want 30secs and only from 1 gcs flank then retreat

btw that whole "2 gc attacking alot" and u staying behind is a MYTH, you are either in lead by only a very small margin
and the other team have been fighting most of the game so how do u compute that plus they have battle experience
and prolly battle high and fever and there will be situation u get sandwiched anyway and lose the game.


Im not saying there are not times you dont stay back, or u dont have to actually do sandwich or even just attacks.
But 30% node and thats the only answer to a rebute call is very weak imo

or when u are stuned , sleeped ,silenced attacked by 4 (3 being smn of course) and around there is that guy attacked by a pet asking for heals...omg no heals!!! ???

I almost always heal. But if someone tells someone to heal, I tell them to be quiet or do it themselves. It can be an unenjoyable experience. No one should have to heal pvp if they feel uncomfortable about it. I want to win, but not at the misery of the people I am playing with.

To the sandwich comments. I am a firm believer that kills can be more important then nodes. But, BUT to many dps stay too long or chase way to far for it to be a pug viable strategy. You also have to expect to see three to four players die after the scrum. General population wants kills not smart play :(

I love it too when people complain about no heals when I play as WHM. 99% of the time it's because you went to far while I was already casting Cure II, just out of target altogether or it was because I intentionally let you die to keep up a battle high/fever because you thought you queued as a tank when you're actually a BLM. I honestly don't know why this isn't more popular. Fully commit on aggression like the first two sets to build up Battle High/Fever, back off and then run over anyone coming your way. Arguably the most brain-dead strat you could think of anyway.

On topic: "Back back back" or any variation of this, followed by "WTF why you still chasing [insert GC here]". No, I'm not chasing. I'm trying to keep the people alive that were on the front because you and nearly every person capable of mass CC fled early to die on the other GC before grouping up.

I've been flipped out on while solo healing enough times that it makes me consider not ever doing it again. I don't heal in pve, so the only reason I leveled a healer in the first place was to help out my team when we needed one. The complete lack of respect you get from a lot of players is just astounding though. If I have to solo heal, whatever, but know that when I'm being attacked by half a team, it's a little difficult to also keep everyone on the team alive by myself. A little self preservation goes a long way in pvp, but I guess it's easier to just put all of the blame on the person who took on the worst role for the good of the team.
