I have a question o.o/ Was your tank having any problems with hate? a fellow GLA in my LS was having problems with Enmity generation earlier so I was curious they just weren't used to the changes or if hate is harder to get now. Just curious, as I'm also GLA and I've yet to do any battle yet (Spent all night working on gettin' my chocobo lol)

LNC are riding red/yellow the entire fight but the tank has solid enmity.

yea Seems LNC and MRD and GLD will be the war horse of this fight atleast thus far. Archer = X even a skilled GLD tank will score 8+ K dps by him self mages got to be on there A game with some one calling the shots Ground base AOE.

Phase 1 he does 1 teleport strike
Phase 2 same
Phase 3 he will do a tri teleport but what we found was if you go to his prior location odds are you wont get hit.

cracks have some one call out

the magma pools well thats hit and miss some think bugged for being far away and still getting naild.

with GLD GLD LNC PUG 3 mages weve been getting 30-40% just gets reallly hectic Though horns not changing anything YET atleast not that i see YET.

That's the server latency issue once again rearing its ugly head. Remember that wherever you were on your screen approximately 2 seconds ago is where the server thinks you are.

so we may have potentially hit a gearcheck wall @ 25~30%. We have no materia and 7/8 of the pt is in 1.18 BiS gear. we have a strategy that will likely work but the execution has to be no less than perfect in every way. we've been at it for 12 hours and are starting to feel the strain. we may go farm materia, we may throw ourselves at the wall...

That makes sense. They said content would be tuned for gear plus 1 materia. Maybe they tuned it around the cobalt gear. I would think 1.18 BiS gear would be better than gear plus 1 materia though. I can't find stats on the new gear so I don't know.

Haven't played PGL much during the 1.18, but noticed while killing Ifrit pre-req NMs that I could now use Jarring Strike after a miss ("evade" was required before, unless it was adjusted without me knowing it).

That can add a lot of potential to PGL tanking (can now use diversion the same way as featherfoot, and "miss" procs quite often with Concussive Blow).

Just wondering if there any way to redo this battle.
Just went in battle on party of 4 and client crahed to desktop after first cs before battle, i log back in and battle over and party had won fight. is it only avalible at higher level or can it be done again.

Is there a 15 min wait or was that something else?

edit-Yep just read patch notes : )

Question..i know is not of my business and you dont have to answer really, but do u even work? how do u manage to have such free time to be able to go for 12 hours straight playing!

PS: GL on ifrit! i did it too and it surely is a fun fight! hope u guys crack it soon!

I can attest this just isn't true. We have had 3 LS members fired since patch and Richardd is being served with divorce papers as I type this out.

Tried it for first time tonight... normal attacks do nearly 0 for all classes, WS's is where its at.

Thats partly why LNC does the most (strongest WS in game is Doomspike II atm). I'd doomspike for nearly 800 and a good chunk (5-7%) of Ifrits life would come out.

SE's way to balance out the insane damage Multishot/Archers used to do?

We Spiritbonded all day today as well as crafted new full sets of gear and we are consistently past 20~25% of the fight now on perfect attempts. It's only a matter of time now.
