oh shut up troll
Troll is on vacation, this thread is a joke.
Convenience triumphs over variety in time.
FFXI pretty much had mog house as a warp and look just like ffxiv market ward lol i don't mind if it's there but i really wish the company was more outside somewhere within the city that you can walk in not really a warp.
I agree. I'm getting tired of warping to like 3 places from a single point. It seems so....lazy.
If all these places were scattered around the city we would no doubt have hordes of people complaining about how inconvenient it is for them.
Trolls be trollin'
Very true... then again it seems like no matter what SE does someone complains about it. SE could probably say they are going to give every active character a free million gil in the game out of the goodness of their heart and people would find something to complain about.
But I do agree with you, watch they make GC it's own little area on the outskirts of town or something, and people will complain that it's too far away and inconvenient. I also bet if SE does that, someone will complain and ask why it can't just be hooked back up to the alley menu. lol
Seems to be the circle of life on this forum. XD
Similar to instant teleportation, am I right?
No! Don't gimp my options! I only have 2 hours to play! I want to be able to get there without wasting any time!
I mean are you serious?
Without those edits, that can't be the same person.
Hypocrisy much? So how about you
I mean jesus
100% agrre.. But 101% OTT way to put it lol..
Id prefer new areas added with instanced building (Grid)/towers in the cliffs (LL)/basements(UL) for housing, and the company stuff once it comes, one more room via the market area would be a bit meh.
WTF man... shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh pls and let the DEVs work
your suggestions is good but, your execution is /facepalm
I think they could just do away with the cities, and make entering a menu selection hub system. While on the field you have the option to select fight, chocobo, teleport. This is what I hope for the map redesign the entire game possible to run through a hub
Everything wasn't supposed to go down that alley...it's because of people that kept wanting things out now that things ended up there.
Market wards aren't even in their final look either...non of the wards were supposed to look or be the way they ended up being...if you peeps would let the devs work and not bleep all the time some things might get done. A little encouragement never hurt either.
Yeah seriously this thread is stupid. They have outlined their plans for the cities, the market wards, the grand companies, all of your complaints and you call them lazy.
How about before you start a thread you do a search on the topic and inform yourself before attempting to troll the Dev team.
Wait til the zone redesigns before you consider the devs lazy. No reason to add onto something you intend to scratch in the future.
Yes, this thread has become useless because over a page of it is users bashing the OP.
Like you've never seen a /rant before.
1. Agreed, dislike the alley access to contrasted game elements (market ward, Storyline zone, & GC all in one spot)
2. Disagree, I find the placement convenient and or don't care/doesn't bother me.
Pick a point and back it up, no reason to get personal or name calling.
Congratz though on getting me to log into this forum and post something. Even if it was because of excessive whiteknighting
3) Wait until the remapping of areas before complaining about this "feature"? (they already said they want these areas to have buildings in the town iirc)
Waste of time thread
Awesome defense of unabashed ignorance!
How dare these "whiteknights" interfere with the OP's right to make pointless rants about something that is merely temporary and already being changed. Clearly any reasonable person (like you) would take a thread called "Dev's Lazyness" for what it is... a cool headed discussion of the pro's and con's of developer laziness for abandoning their plans to redesign the cities.
I'll play along.
I agree! The developers are not only lazy, but how dare they tell the public they are going to do one thing like redesign these areas and then tell the OP in an exclusive interview that this was only a ploy to lure us into a false sense of security and hide their true "lazyness".
Rabble Rabble Rabble Rabble
I agree its been a dumping point for pretty much everything and also that it is a bit lazy, but at least its something at this point. BTW, OP. I almost guarantee that housing will be in the 'other' instance spot in each city. Limsa Lominsa has the Northern Islands which is where I expect player housing. I believe grid and uldah have another unused instance spot also.
It's a casual game like they said lol -.-... Se should GIVE US ALL THE ITEMS ALL THE GIL ALL THE TRANSPORTATION and let us just log in an hmmmm.. what? i guess do nothing lol!!
They did indeed. I believe it was about the time 1.18 came out and people were freaking out over the GC buildings being instanced . . . at the alley. They said it was just a temp solution and that places would have their own spot in the actual city maps after the redesign. That was their goal at the time at any rate.Quote:
(they already said they want these areas to have buildings in the town iirc)
OP's got a point
C'mon... SE need to scrap old shit from old dev to fulfill your request =='
They should give us a tent that we throw up wherever. Like when you used a Tent in FF VI! But, it would be like the tent from Harry Potter where it's a full house inside.
housing should not be where the wards are...
Do you really think it will all fit there?
I agree with the OP, though it could have been phrased better.
This game will never succeed.
Deal with it.
First page after OP's rather rambly and hard-to-follow post was half full of comments by "hardcore" timesink players who hate the "casuals" who only want to play an MMO for 1-2 hours every day or two. Please stop it. Square wants to cater to both because they've realized not all players want to play a game that requires you to spend hours upon hours on timesinks just to get to anywhere decent. XI was notorious for this - Square's trying to get away from that part of XI's "hardcore" mentality because they've realized it drives away more players than it keeps.
To call having to run from point A to point B in a virtual town a 'hardcore' feat I wonder what it you (hypothetical) call tying your shoes...
