Player Housing - What are the future plans?

That is categorically false. I have the gil to buy my FC a house. Go on Leviathan and show me ONE(small, medium, large, any) plot that is available for purchase. In ANY of the 3 cities. Go show me just ONE and fine, I will relent.

THERE HASN'T BEEN A SINGLE AVAILABLE PLOT ON LEVIATHAN SINCE 2.4!!!

This is not a gil issue. That is what I mean when I say people aren't allowed to partake rather than people are unable. There simply isn't any plot available. How is that ok?

Oh, sorry, the server issues again. SE can`t offer landplots to all the playerbase, well, we called it ages ago. Somehow, every single F2P low budget flavor of the month korean grinder can offer housing to all its player base, but a AAA monthly fee big budget game like this, woops, lol nope, server issues.

Still, QoL are issues people with houses already need to see, really.

You're not wrong.

SE simply needs to up their game regarding housing all around.

Airships being tied to the current housing is fine, a guild getting guild content. There needs to be an alternate outlet but doesn't have to necessarily be a house, personal housing/other outside this for gardening and chocobo raising though.

I see people talking about how housing requires crazy server space. Why is this? I think Lord of the Rings Online had a similar housing system.
