With the storyline getting deeper into the depths of allagan and such, i would like to see Eden from FF8.
I would love to see Anima http://www.google.com/url?sa=i&sourc...38268274596416
Knights of the Round Ex or whatever it's called I don't remember what its called in Game, but the normal was fun.
Ark from FF9.
The Garlean Empire has some badass airships already, so Ark could come from them. or Ark could come from Allegan, or Magitek.
Ark. Fight him in the sky after Cid attaches a small cannon to your Manacutter(?) starfox style with a full 8 man party. Then when he lands and takes on final form fight him on the ground during a lightning storm.
addition to my last post....
Final Aeon from FFX

Have a feeling it will be Ixion for similar reasons as others here, except it's going to be the WoL who summons him...
I would loveeee to see Anima!

Really? Hm...
Then Haurchefant as an Asciian it is! (Or rather an Asciian in a Haurchefant suit) I hate barking up this tree because his death was tragic in a dramatically perfect way and it would be nice to let him be. Buuut SE knows how popular he is and there are some haunting plot and lore threads hanging in the air still.
i hope we're done with Primals. even Bismarck and Ravana seems kind of like random road blocks in the storyline.
Nidhogg Trial or a trial featuring Garlean troops in some manner is what i want to see next.
Being done with Primals is most likely wishful thinking by now since most likely there are still more Beast Tribes to be introduced as the world of FF14 opens up more to the players but it would be nice if they spaced out Primals more in the Storyline
One part of 2.X era MSQ issue was that it was just one big Primal Hunting Crusade with the Scions and WoL beyond the building the Scion and WoL reputation.
I liked Ravana too and even the fight against Bismarck was fun but I see what Sendoh is talking about. In Heavensward, more so than in ARR, the Primals were like.... not plot holes but plot cul-de-sacs. The story dipped into these tribes trying to do a thing then went nowhere and backed out again. I guess the Gnath were at least trying to deal with Dragons.
Ravana is only semi-original. Even though none of the NMs in the race went by the name "Ravana", he's very clearly based off the Naraka from XI:

With that in mind, they could make maybe a unique undead primal inspired by the Corses in that game. Plenty of things to choose from though.
I want Maduin from FF6
Chocobo primal.
Medusa :-D
I've been wanting to see this for a long time. If this were possible, I'd like to see Lakshmi, based on the esper from FFVI (also known as Starlet). In myth, Lakshmi is associated with the lotus, and is often depicted standing or sitting on a giant lotus. The esper was focused solely on healing, so without going into a lot of detail, perhaps this trial would involve seedkin adds which Lakshmi then buffs and heals, while she debuffs the party with Sleep and Charm, for example.
that doesn't mean we're going to get that as the focus of the content like farming Leviathan EX was the focus of 2.2.
we keep getting snippets of Ascians in the story and we did get one Ascian trial in The Chrysalis but we never got that as a core fight to farm for an entire content patch.
i don't hate the fight, i don't hate Ravana as a character either and i don't hate the Gnath but how much of the storyline is lost if Ysayle walks us to Anyx Trine from Tailfeather and just talks Vidofnir into letting us go to Sohm Al?
that's what i meant as a random road block.
Sohm Al feels legit, Zenith was a big deal, Aery was a big deal, the Vault was a big deal, the Library was a little random.
Ravana and Bismarck could have been around but neither had to be part of the MSQ.
