I think it's coming with the first expansion pack

Regardless, you should not have to do them in the first place. a year into an MMO in 2011 and we need to even mention things like a decent search system, mail system, and being able to do basic functions in a linkshell is purely unacceptable.
Um...isn't search function, ls management revamp, party recruit revamp, etc going to all be apart of the UI overhaul? I believe this was mentioned.
battle is still out of balance!
might be, but why are things like that being held off so long? shouldnt that have been done early on? Even if they wanted it after the battle changes, it should have been some of the #1 things for the next patch, which is basically a giant content patch (i love content and all, but they need to have their priority's straightened out)
me: "hey they just added like a million new things to this game! you should come check it out. There's like autoattack, chocobos, airships, search function for the market, new quest, items, jobs coming its going to be awsome!"
roommate: "Good....can I actually put to gather a party now without showing in town"
me: "umm no that's not fixed"
roommate: "when will it be fixed"
me: "...... it's not planned"
roommate "wanna play Dark Souls instead?"
me "ok..."
but the point is people don't want to see the shout traffic while they are in town if they don't want to party, and it's rude to spam shout. But right now its the ONLY way to form a party because the search system doesn't work. It's 1 too complex and 2 lacks the option for "all" so you have to search by zone by job by reason which is ALWAYS empty.
Linkshell and search issues will be fixed around the time when server side issues are completed.
We should ask for more details on these things for the YouTube interview.
me: So how about those Linkshell functions, I can't wait to kick people/promote people at last!
roommate: um.. that hasn't been implemented either
me: I can't wait to message my friends in-game! :D
roomate: buddy, I'm sorry I have to repeat this again, but.. you're gonna have to wait, those things weren't SE's #1 on the priority list..
If you cant deal with the priority list that SE has given out, along with the Infos that Search/Mailbox/Linkshellstuff will be looked into/worked on, then you should leave. Seriously.
If you are THAT pissed that SE has a different thought of the priorities, then why are you still playing? IF you cant do anything beside complaining and bitching and if you dont understand that its different to constructive Feedback, ffs just leave and play DS or w/e.
the point of the forum is to bring your concerns to the devs. Isn't the goal to help the dev's prioritize based on OUR feedback? If you make post only to tell an OP off "then you should leave. Seriously." I want this game to be fixed as soon as possible so it will succeed because it is one of my favorite games atm. Our voices allow them to decide what is important.
I agree with the OP 100%.
Don't forget personal map markers, /lsmes linkshell message, /random and treasure pool / loot lotting.
-- "Someone wrote: Square in Mongolian means Umbrella and Enix means Corporation. "
^ instead of lsmes which is an outdated idea from ff11, they should consider adding a linkshell calender where players can organise linkshell events and put daily messages and whatnot.
Correct. But complaining, bitching, whining is NOT CONSTRUCTIVE and its NOT Feedback at all. What you think the Devs will get out of a ragepost? Correct.. Nothing.
"I want this game to be fixed as soon as possible so it will succeed because it is one of my favorite games atm."
Its WAY different to what people said so far:
"This sucks balls", "They dont have the correct priorities", "SE sucks for beeing slow", "They should have fixed it", "This has be done early", "I want this now".
Those comments are in no way constructive. They explain in no possible way, how could SE improve something, or make something better. People are just complaining about Stuff, which is not in the Game right now and if it is in the Game it sucks right away.
That is what people saying, not to mention the fact that SE allready noted things like "Linkshell administration" and that they are working on it. I agree totally that some elementary things are missing, but i wont help if i would open one Thread after another and would do nothing but bitching/complaining/whining.
If people want to make this Game sucessfull they need to learn what "constructive feedback" means and also why SE is asking for it everytime they read the rageposts. Because complaining/bitching/whining without a backup for their opinion NEVER will help.
Nero you are complaining about the complainers which is even less constructive, just let people say what they want and be done with it.
I have mixed feelings with the some of the issues.
Ls mgmt functions need to be reworked 100%, it is simply horrible for any guild functionality. Need admin functions, scheduling function (ls mess at the min), and such. They need to make you able to do anything without being near the person (invite, kick, promote).
As for the party search it makes sense for it to be pushed to the back burner. There is 1 in the game and it does work... for those who argue against this I want an explanation of how myself and linkshell members were getting partys with it for the first 2 months of the game there was always people on it at prime times. The issue atm is it is a self fullfilling prophecy. The playerbase says it is worthless using because it does not work so they refuse to use it, since no one uses it no one can make partys with it there for it fails. The current search function while not the best one out there it does do its job just as good as XI. I say 90% of the search function issues is a playerbase problem, 10% is the fact that square did a horrible job explaining how to use it. If everyone used the party search it would work better then XI's minimal search feature.
The mail system, it needs to be added simple as that.
^This .....
AND ^This!
Please have these corrected/resolved in next patch. Again, here is a PERFECT Seek/Search function thought of with help from XI and some from XIV by one of XIV's players!
