Best and Worst AF2?

Best: SMN, especially once I can dye the horn to to match my Xaela's scales

Worst: I'd have to say the healer's gear don't look good. WHM look very plain, AST has too many junk attached to the dress, SCH looks ok from a distance (except the hat) but up close it looks very silly ... books on the robes? Really?

I meant that I enjoy playing the Summoner and Arcanist over the rest, so I swayed in favor of those sets.

Not sure what the lecture on opinions was for. Pretty sure we all know that.

... there's a 40% chance I'll switch my main to SMN just because of the way the AF2 looks.

SCH looks like something out of some junior high kid's sketchbook on super cool steampunk designs.

Best: SMN BY FAR. Even though it isn't popular I really like the Mnk gear as well

I personally think the bard pants rock though.

The White Mage fits so good. I don't see why people don't like it.

Best: AST and WHM. Both fit the class very well and are beautiful to look at.

Worst: MCH and SCH. MCH looks like just your typical crafted piece of gear. And I don't know what's going on with SCH. For a battle ready class, it doesn't look right. And those hands.. lol

MNK reminds me of Blazekin from Pokémon....and that's not wholly a bad thing.

It's fitting for MCH. Technically, and lore wise, it's a crafting profession turned combat. And while it may not look particularly combative, it does look like very utilitarian clothing. I personally can't wait to wear it (with a skirt. Lace Valeria doesn't do pants. . . despite the awesome stats on those pants :P)

SMN, WHM, PLD, and DRK are perfectly fitting. BRD/MNK are legacy costumes if I recall.

MCH on female looks really outplace with that black shirt they get... Males don't have it though.

I personally wouldn't have minded a little cleavage showing there, but I go for the sexy (but functional) look on my character anyways. Lol

Best: DRG

worst: BLM ;D

paladin - the wing motif plays really well into the paladin's theme of being a protector and guardian angel. overall this set gives the character a feel of nobility and strength. it's to be expected. not the most thrilling of the new af gear but definitely not bad at all

warrior - breeches are frumpy. the helmet is unflattering. it makes your character's face look fatter and rounder. the color scheme of this set fits the warrior's theme well. meh

dark knight - sleek, dark, sexy. honestly though it's not unique since it looks like so much stuff we've seen before. but it still looks great. the tattered chainmail is a great touch

dragoon - beautiful colors. the scales and fin-like appendages give it a sea-serpent feel. maybe sea dragon? it's totally impractical but it looks gorgeous

monk - it's not bad. it actually looks good. just not new or unique. it's too similar to older gear. but the red and yellow colors give it a shaolin monk feel which is nice and they give the monk a fresh feel. this is not so much a brand new outfit but more of an improvement of stuff that already exists

ninja - color scheme is great. mysterious purples and blacks. i'm not a fan of the paper-thin sash. but the helm and boots in particular are sleek and streamlined which i think fits the ninja perfectly

bard - boring. bland. blah. it's so uninteresting. it's not bad or ugly. just generic. this outfit doesn't command attention at all. if i saw this in the open world i would not rush out to see where this gear is from. if i was a bard i'd be extremely disappointed

machinist - plain. a bit on the generic side. but i do appreciate the open flap on the shirt. the bit of skin showing gives off a dashing and sexy corsair kind of feel

black mage - color scheme of black and tan is kinda modern. i like it. but the hat looks silly. the top is too frumpy/bulky. but i love the thighboots. it's sexy witch

summoner - this outfit is just gorgeous. the greens, yellows, and purples give it almost an aquatic feel. you get the sense that it would shimmer in water. beautiful

white mage - i love the nun hood and skullcap. that kind of reserved and mysterious look is very appealing. reminds me of other heavily robed characters like dust from x-men or luminara unduli from star wars. i love the flared robes. this is nun with a hint of sexy

scholar - gloves are ridiculously bulky. they look like gauntlets. books on the robe? it's gimmicky at best. steampunk theme is a bit random

astrologian - the hat looks silly. it's more costumey than stylish. the gown looks beautiful though. i appreciate the star/moon/sun motifs

final verdict (in order of review)

best - dark knight, dragoon, summoner, white mage

worst - warrior, bard, scholar

best: ast
worst: blm
ironic best: sch's robo fists

To be fair...Black Mage's AF2 gear makes them look like the Magus job (which is basically an upgrade to Black Mage).

Ya I like the MCH look due to how it fits their theme and lore.

Playing through the Machinist Job storyline we learn that Machinist is not the most combat trained of the Jobs in Eorzea currently. Their talents goes into their Gunslinger skills and Magitek to cover their physical weakness. Their original roles were just crafters of heavy weapons or other mechanical goods used for daily life. It was not until the current Machinist Guild Leader in Ishgard saw the potential of Machinists in the battlefield when they started to become a combat Job.

Machinist is a Job that anyone, poor or rich, can take on without any requirements of physical training nor magical talent.

Females have a black undershirt to where the males lave it bare. It just seems sorta out of place with the rest of the piece.

It's all subjective, and I can see that my opinion definitely does not correspond with the majority here.

Best: SMN and MNK. Yes, I love the MNK set. I've been patiently waiting for it ever since they first showed off the concept art over a year and a half ago, and I'm impressed with its translation to the in-game model.

Worst: SCH is pretty bad (it looks like a terrible attempt at steampunk), but PLD is the absolute worst. The chestpiece looks like a cheap children's costume made of flimsy plastic and the boots are a recycled model of pre-60 gear. The design is lazy and it looks awful. I'll definitely be glamouring over it.

Best: DRG, DRK
Worst: SCH (Seriously Steampunk? Yuck) and close 2nd is BLM because the hat is just awful.

Oh damn. Thanks for the pics. Yea looks like its probably been added later. Its like Tera US Elins mini shorts instead of panties. Out of place :S

I really hate the WAR armor. It's like a down graded version of AF1

Jokes aside:

I doubt they could have done much when they based MNK AF2 on Yang Fang Leiden. Only thing changed about the set was the addition of a body cover and a bit more detail in his amor look.

Best imo is Warrior bard and Machinist.

To be honest I like all the designs I felt they are all unique in appearance. I may not like everything about each set, but I appreciate diversity among armor sets. These are definitely diverse.

To be honest My favorites are Dragoon, Summoner, and Astrologian. Close second would be warrior and monk. My least favorite is the Scholar/Black Mage. The rest are all well done as well, to be honest it's so hard to pick a favorite! I wish all sets were unique to each class like these ones are.

worst: paladin (chest just looks wierd, but it has a waistcoat, not a cape which is nice), sch (nice hat, gloves suck)
