Savage is meant for hardcore raiders.

Deal with your inferiority complex in a different way than by asking to get something you haven't earned.

The problem, at least my problem is not that raiders can get 210 and everyone else cant. They earned that. However they have access to two sets of 21 gear complete with weapons and everything. That is not fair. Both the 210 set and the upgrade items from the 200 set drop from the same 4 floors of savage alexander instead of two different content of the same difficulty level. That is boring. Sure in 3-5 months the upgrades will be put in the new 24-man raid which will be nowhere near as difficult as Alex savage so that will cheapen the achievement of the raiders.

Sure, this was the norm in 2.0 but it wasnt a pretty good norm.


Here is what I think should be:

Ilvl 170 set A from law stones - Ilvl 170 set B from centurion marks - Ilvl 170 set C from PVP marks

Ilvl 180 Upgrade from rare drops in hardest dungeon tier - upgrades from B mark bill rewards

Ilvl 190 set A from story alex - Ilvl 190 set B from story different raid

Ilvl 200 set A from esoterics stones - Ilvl 200 set B from 24 man raid - Ilvl 200 set C from different 24-man raid

Ilvl 210 Upgrade from weekly 24 man raid quests - upgrades from drops by A and S marks

Ilvl 220 set A from savage alex - Ilvl 220 set B from savage different raid

Sure, this isn't perfect either but every tier has more than one set that you get from a different source, but the top raiders still get their bragging rights level gear.

24 man raid is coming in 3.1, not only do you want that right now, you want that and a different 24 man raid (content we expect for 3.3)?

and on top of that you want a second story raid and another Savage version of that in addition to Alex (content we expect for 3.2)?

so you're basically asking them for the next 9 months of content right now? how is that reasonable?

It is not. Like I said, its isn't perfect. But if we would ahve gotten maybe the two story raids in 3.0 and alex savage in 2.1 or 3.2....

And there is the crux of it... "But I WANT i220 without doing savage QQ"

As long as there is "better" gear locked behind hard content gates, there will be salt... and if the hard content would give inconsequential rewards then less and less people would do it, there would no longer be a carrot at the end of the stick.

A fair point. There are people who want gear they don't need just because they want to be able to say: I have it.

So what do you propose? The current system is far from perfect.

i do not have time in the week to farm two story raids and Eso tomes. Alex Normal is enough. and the top end raiders would rage if Savage was delayed till 3.1

the current system isn't perfect, your system isn't perfect either and costs a lot more money, why would anyone prefer your system?

As far as weapons go.... Zodiacs will become a thing right? We the Static-less can at least get weapons that way. Eventually.

Well the general lack of horizontal progression is the most common complaint about the game here on the forums.

To OP :)
What I would suggest If you haven't already done this, is be able to demonstrate to these groups you're trying to join, that you are raid ready.
Being raid ready means:
You have upgraded your gear as much as you can pre raiding.
You can show you've read guides and done research on your job and know it inside out.
You can commit to a time schedule and show up on time and prepared
You've done research on the fights and know your role in that fight.
That you have a positive attitude and can work in a team with others.

For all I know you've done all this, but from my experience many people lack these basic raid etiquette, basically just from lack of experience.
Filling these prerequisites will give you a good leg up on getting into a raid group.

that sounds like confirmation bias. this is a vertical progression game, people who want horizontal progression that badly really need to look elsewhere.
