I'd love her hair too, we need side ponytails! Dunno if they'll ever bring back the event though. XIII is done now so no real excuse to. Still, no reason they can't give us the hair at least, right? :3

1.0 used the same engine. They changed to another engine for ARR

SE can bring hairstyle and clothes outside of an event. Just put everything into the Golden Saucer.

I have to admit I only clicked this going "who?". I have to admit her hair would be nice to see in game but I do think SE need to give FFXIII a rest and maybe add content from other FFF games like they have been doing with other FF games in game. Maybe put in some Chrono Trigger stuff. >_>

It looks nice, but I think FFXIV has more than enough female only glamors at the moment.

I really don't think the event should happen again. It makes absolutely no sense. It's happened TWICE already, both times to promote the new Lightning game at the time. There is no upcoming or current XIII game, so it makes no sense practically or in the Lore.

Now as far as the costume, hair, ect....meh. Lol. I don't really care one way or another. I don't see why they couldn't add it to the cash shop or something for the die hard fans who want it. Honestly I'm surprised they don't have more unlockable hairstyles than they do. I'm sure people would quest or grind for more hairstyle options haha. I just truly believe that XIII had it's time (even had it's time in XIV) and now it's over and needs to be put to rest in favor of new content or different crossovers.

Well in terms of FXIII it did make sense.
Lightning can basically cross worlds and she just did a booboo and landed in Eorzia.

Also, for the love of all that is holy, don't ever talk anymore about putting stuff like that behind a cashshop, especially hair in a game you already pay monthly for.

Well that's the key word though: it DID make sense at the time of the events. The event's story was supposed to take place right before "Lightning Returns", and that was fine and dandy....twice....because it released once in Japan and once in NA. The game has been out and over with for a long time now, so there wouldn't be any point in promoting it any more in my opinion.

As far as the cash shop goes, I don't agree with it either. I'm not a fan of it...but...I can see it for things like old event items. Personally I'd prefer they keep the old events one time only, and if you were there for the game at the time, you got the reward, and it's somewhat special and unique because not everyone will have that reward...but in todays world that just wouldn't fly, because everyone wants everything. So, I say the cash shop is the perfect spot for special stuff like that. Hell they already have minions and mounts on there, why not glamour items and hairstyles?

Of course this is all just my personal thoughts on the matter.

She can't any more, though.

Vague ending spoilers

Magic doesn't exist in a universe without a God. Lightning can never return to Eorzea, as it was... either the Big Bad God or some other God in FFXIII's lore who threw her into Eorzea in the first place. They don't exist in Lightning's new world/universe.

Basically, there will never be a sequel to her FFXIII event and repeating her event for a fourth time just makes it seem like SE has run out of event ideas.

By the time i joined the game i had missed the XIII event. I hope one day they start selling the items via mogstation.

They'd just take the entire event as it's already coded and drop it in, rewards and all.

You can't stop the freight train that is FFXIII. Whether it did something for you or not, it was a powerful series. Just like the upcoming FF7 remake, it doesn't need to be done, the game is influential as is. It won't die, it can't die.

that demo is terrible. calling that a FF or a JRPG is an insult.

XIII Trilogy is awesome, IMO it beats XV.

Well this has gone silly.

and FFXV is a button smashing/holding fest.

But whether you like it or not, they're both Final Fantasy games. FFXIII had moments where you can't rely on the Auto-Attack button (and honestly, if that's all you did, then that's your own fault) and the FFXV demo's battle system doesn't exactly let you mess around with what may be in the final product (magic), so I can't say much on it.

That's probably the only way XIII Trilogy would win against other Final Fantasies, to be honest (unless XV turns out to be worse). ;)

Anyway, back on topic of Final Fantasy events. If they do let Lightning Strikes Infinity, they must make sure that no one will get hunts that target the FATEs she replaces. I spent hours waiting for the ice sprite boss in Coerthas because Lightning FATE spawned instead last time.

What I would like would there to be monthly fanservice events, basically on the 1st of every month, there's and FFI event, on the 2nd, an FFII event and so on, and each of these events rewards something like Final Fantasy Tokens that can be exchanged for glamour stuff related to other Final Fantasies.

Again, we got a demo to judge the game.
I don't know if you played other final fantasy games, or hell other rpg's but that is how it always starts. It always starts off really slow.
The thing is, FFXIII does not evolve from that point.

Hey.. hey.. FFXV is still Fabula Nova Crystallis franchise which means still have 'connection' with FFXIII Trilogy :D

FF13 was kinda meh, but 13-2 was quite fun actually lots of improvements there.
I doubt anything for Serah will come out but hell when Lightning Returns comes out for PC here, maybe they'll pop the event back.

The XIII trilogy is awesome. that's why it sold more than 10 million copies combined.
