EmeraldHill this is not the One year anniversary event (If they even have one planned in the first place) this is just encouragement for players who have just started playing to know about grand companies and players who have joined only one, to go ahead and try the others with a 1k seals bonus to purchase to their hearts content and have a taste of the items being offered.

Keep in mind item rewards for GC's will not stop at the list we have now, it will keep growing, so the extra 1k seals is very welcomed.

Foundation day is very close to anniversary in terms of meaning. And it happens to be near the 1 year anniversary.

Let's use the last two ranks of a crafter as an example. If you are given enough seals to buy 15 scrolls, that is 75k SP bonus towards your ending ranks. Easy math. Simple and clear logic.

When using scrolls, since you are not just getting the bonus you're getting the base SP as well. Meaning, you'll only need 8-9 scrolls to gain 100kSP. DING! R49! Let's use up the rest of what seals we got from the event by purchasing more scrolls. By the time we're done with them we'll be about 64-75k/100k into rank.

It's a pretty good deal. Kind of pointless explaining this to a troll, though. I think you're probably wise enough to understand the bonus and the hypothetical situation I just gave, but in case you are not a troll and are actually special needs. I thought I'd humor you.

Do we know that for sure? I mean I havent seen a full translation of that post yet, and all I got from another player was: "For patch 1.19, I can confirm the release date tomorrow." so wouldnt that just mean Yoshi will be able to say when its coming, not that its delayed?

Its just because in the next patch we're going to need alot of seals. Chocobo insurance forms, ranking up in the company itself, new grand company story quests, and quests in general. A free 1000 seal booster and public service announcements about the companies are great for a precursor to that. There are still people in game that have no idea how to join/where the companies are.
