I think the point was is you can still get a lot of SP from leve parties comparable and even better then pre leve patch.

I have no friggn Idea what the hell are you talking about. I 5 Star them all and get the Speedbonus even when i Solo. I get Solo around 65k-70k for 8 Battle-leves.

You guys forget some simple things, you are just talking about the Bonus at the end.

- There are Mobs in the leves which also gives SP. ( Solo i get most of the Time around 200-230, but also there are crappy ones which only gives 100ish even on 5 Stars. )
- When you have a couple People with you, not everyone is having the same leves.. so the Bonus you get from other leves than yours will stack up quick to like 20k.

So the Average SP i gained after completing a leve, including the Mobs, is almost always around 9k-11k. Sometimes less due some messed up Stuff, so the Bonus will be lowered..

But anyways.. 100k is actually an accurate Number if you do a 8 Man Leverun.

Oh well, in that case, the point was absolutely correct. The SP is better post-patch than pre-patch.

Not that it's going to matter for long - with SP chains being introduced in 1.19, I think that SP/Materia parties are going to become de rigueur.

The post I was responding to specifically mentioned getting all 8 in Grid - because the SP bonuses are significantly higher there. That's not possible to do for all 8 of your leves, at least until they implement the new system, anyway.

You do it on most of them but not all of them. Sorry mate, I've played a lot of leves, I know how they work very well. When doing 8 leves in a row, it's very difficult to 5-star and get the speed bonus consistently.

I think you also may be thinking of the r45-50 grind. When you're a r37 player, getting ready to do r40 leves, you're not 5-starring them solo and getting the speed bonus.

Looks like you dont know how they work. After 1.18 was implemented they turned into Easy Mode. If you cant solo them on 5 Stars you obviously fail. I did it on a couple Classes up to 50. And im currently on another Class which is almost 50. If you just go and grab all leves you can get in one City, you shouldnt be surprised. Get the ones which can be done fast, is all you need to do.. i.e. Desert Defilement, Blacksand and so on.. if you try things like All cracked up, im not really surprised that you are claiming that you cant do it.

And again.. yes i do solo and 5 Star them, including Speed Bonus. Desert Defilement just takes 3-4 Minutes to do so. lol.. and no im not thinking about Grinding. but i understand your mistake now.. if you try to do 40 Leves with 37, then you wont be able to do it. What you think why they are called Rank40 Leves? .. It didnt matter pre 1.18.. but it does matter now.

The system you describe is not compatible with doing all your leves in Grid - which was the original post I was responding to. There's always 1 or 2 per city that take longer and are harder to both 5-star AND get the speed bonus - especially solo.

It's easier to have these conversations if we stay on point, instead of wandering around everywhere.

I solo'd everything on 5-stars from 45-50, but you can't really do that consistently at lower ranks WHILE getting the speed bonus. You can do it, but not as quick as you need to.

Re: doing rank 40 leves at 37, I consistently have done (solo) leves 5 ranks earlier than they are listed, at up to 3 or 4 stars. I don't actually know anyone who doesn't do this on a regular basis.

The fact remains that for the vast, vast majority of players and situations in which they are doing leve parties, you are much more likely to get 80k for a full party than 100k.

Throw in a few behest for 4.5k SP each in between, you can reach 100k. But that's stretching it.

It's possible with R40 leves in Grid and LL (they have same SP bonus compare to crappy Uldah ones, have you seen anyone in Broken Water lately?). For a solo person:

3 x Guardian Aspect = 22k SP (you get 30 Favour in 36 hours)
5 x non Aspect = 25k SP
mobs you killed during leve ~ 5k
1 Behest in between (if you finish all 8 leves in less than 1 hour) = 4.5k SP

= 56.5k SP solo
