Except that the base game trophies weren't even live right when it first came out and all of them worked retroactively without an issue.

That is correct. Currently, only Xbox (Microsoft) requires Achievement (gamerscore) added to DLC.

Aside of the "1000" crafting trophies, I purposely worked to get the other trophies. The in-game Achievements are nice, but working towards 1000 FATEs to get a PSN trophy is more of a goal than if it was 1000 without a trophy.

I would love trophies for Heavensward. When i got the game I was expecting them but to my surprise there was none. Kinda surprise no dev came in to mention anything? Maybe its not a simple no and they are at a no comment stance. Maybe it is coming later after more content is release.

If I bump this, will SE notice me and our want for Heavensward trophies? <3

They are not required to add new trophies with the expansions only the initial game. I would have loved to see them as well but I'll live.

Letter from the Producer coming up, it's not too long to retroactively add trophies. (Yes even though they're not requires by Sony). I think it's worth bumping up this question/request. The trophies should reward you for progressing through the game in a way that complements the narrative

Why would they include trophies with a expansion? Not like you'll platinum the game any time soon considering what you have to do for them

Usually expansions come with new trophies, if some of you haven't played many console games before XIV you might not know that, but almost any game I can think of does.

Dragon Age, Uncharted, FarCry, Walking Dead, Borderlands 2, Batman, Last of Us, Metal Gear Rising, Skyrim, Elder Scrolls Online, Witcher, Fallout 3, Shadow of Mordor, LBP - they all have new trophies with their expansions. So this?

No they're not required to, but it's what most console games do.

It's very surprising that no new trophies were added tbh. That said, I'm about 45-50 leves shy of getting my platinum ^^

I'm primarily a PC player but I do have the base on PS4 and like to log in occasionally for trophies. I didn't bother buying the expansion since there were no trophy upgrades. I know they're not for everyone but I LOVE earning trophies! Just something extra to focus on while I'm playing. I hope they add more in the future and update the "missing" HW set!

Nothing to do with FFXIV. I hate them because I download my Free PSN game and It'S SHIT... Play it once and never again and get 1 trophy out of XXX.... I wish I could delete trophies personally.

Well, at the very least, with the PS4 you have the option of hiding any games in your library so that they don't share information with others.

Won't help with the PS3 though, where the Trophy list takes ages to load if you have tons of games under your belt. But I guess that won't be an issue if you don't deal with trophies, so welp.

that's why you test them on a second guest account to see if you like it in the first place (second ps4 login does not mean second psn account fyi)

but your post is confusing because you say you hate trophies yet you obviously care about your trophy list

also stated you could delete 0% trophies and hide any game from your trophy list

Consider yourself lucky to have some at all, the Steam version never had achievements, because Valve is not enforcing it.

They are similar, but not the same. You cannot see other players' acievements in the game. Using PSN, you can see what trophies your friends have accumulated. Trophies also count towards PSN's version of gamerscore, Trophy levels. It's nice seeing accomplishments rack up.

It would still be nice if HW had trophies added, but now I think they may be ignoring the idea since it would be more work.
