I suspect that this is the reason for the warriors of darkness, if anyone remembers this from 2.0 ending.

It woudn't make any sense from a balance standpoint for one tank to have a DPS LB.

It looked like it a created a dark barrier in front of the tank though. If they gave a tank a non-defensive LB then the job would be unwanted in situations like T13. It would be very risky to give them a dps LB in terms of game balance.

You're probably right, but unless something changes from ARR than tanks almost never use our Limit Breaks. I would rather we have a dps limit break of some kind than what we have, which is almost no limit break at all.

T13 requires a tank LB at Teraflare. There's other situations where a well placed tank LB can save a run as surely as a well placed healer LB can. It only makes sense that the DPS LB's will get used far more often than the support style ones.

Need more fights like Ultima Weapon Trial, where tank LB is needed to survive a certain mechanic.

paladin is... paladin, monk, black mage probably all keep the initial limit breaks since they weren't shown in the video.

It'd be doubly cool if said Warrior of Darkness had a similar outfit to yours, but since we might be fighting him/her in an 8 player party, it'll probably have its own design.

On a more serious note from what I can tell we have some very interesting plot points and many questions.

1) We seem to be working with Ysayle quite a bit. Will it be by blessing of the Holy See or are we going behind his back on it? I get that Estinien is there with us, but at the same time he has seemed rather iffy. Could he actually agree with Ysayle when it comes to the dragons? No clue.
2) The seal that was broken/went dim around us is again made whole and seems stronger then before. Does this mean Midgardsormr at some point is no longer protecting us and we are once again aligned with Hydaelyn?
3) The figures on the flooding continent are all about balance so it appears to balance out us (The Warrior of Light) they created the Warrior of Darkness.

There are other plot points obviously, but those seemed to be some major ones in the video and I am very curious to see how those questions I put above get answered.

It might be based on a player's main stat (Strength for melee DPS, Intelligence for caster DPS, etc), but it should be more or less the same since the devs don't want people to be kicked from parties that want only specific classes for LBs.

Yes, they are just changes to the animation, the effects will remain the same, except for BRD that is getting all 3 of their LBs changed to do dmg.

I think we will fight the warrior of darkness multiple times, and after the last fight they decide to join us into regaining balance because they where never the bad guys int he 1st place they just bring the balance in light and darkness like every FF has told.

Right, The new Melee/Ranged DPS Limit break is still has the same amount damage that original Final Heaven/Meteor single Limit breaks did. Same thing applys to the new tank and healing Limits

You're right, our Limit Break has its uses (Ultima HM has been one of my favorite fights! And the most common strategy included a tank limit break), but the ratio of when dps use their limit breaks compared to when tanks (or healers) use theirs is massively unbalanced. I would love to see that ratio evened out somehow and I think the easiest way is to redesign the tanking limit break, not necessarily into a dps limit break, but into something that is useful more often than what we have now.

I had no issue with no more egis and actually I for one am quite happy with a glamour system. It would have been hard to come up with new Egi anyways because as we all know everyone will just go with what is the most powerful anyways. As for the route summoner is going I like it. It is kind of a mixture summoner and blue mage. Channel the power of the primals through you the caster instead of relying so much on the pet.
