Yes to the mount, no to the restriction.
I see the problem. People will want it because it is 'cool', but people won't use it if everyone can obtain it because it will ruin their 'snowflake' status.
Make it a limited event (where all participants can get it upon completion), or add it permanently in game, it will make no difference to me. Ride/wear what you like, regardless of how many others will use it. If people won't use it because everyone has one, then the problem is theirs and theirs alone. People that just see it as the 'next pony' will ditch it when the next thing comes along (or they get bored of it) anyway, leaving only those left that truly enjoy it still riding around on it.
I can agree with that. However, I'd still personally like a little bit of status tacked onto it. For instance, having the battle to obtain the parts needed for the cycle have some definite degree of difficulty to it. I get that people barred from it due to accessibility will gripe and complain. But I see it as more of a reward for those who have been really working at the game. Maybe don't make it so you need a certain ilvl and make it a raid, but something with some difficult mechanics at the very least. It should be something that feels earned.
Sounds alright with me. :)
Regardless of whether the availability of the bike is temporary or a permanent thing, weapon and clothing glamour could also be implemented as part of a more accessible event, so at least people still leveling (or don't have much time) can feel like they got something out of the promo event (more so if the bike quest line is only available for a limited time).
I personally like the idea of a temporary event for glamours, and a permanent quest line at max level for the bike which requires some work to get.
I would prefer the following:
Red XIII Companion
Snake in the Lake Mount
Cat Sith Mount
Gold Chocobo Mount
Cloud Outfit (AC preferred over FF7)
Tifa or Aries
The Highwind for a ship design
Emerald and Ruby Weapon Minion - but 2 times the size of the 2.0 minions so we can see it
A minion that is either a changing master materia or all 5 of the them
My personal Must Have - All weapons given are based on The Knights of the Round Summons!!!!!
Or they setup a either a Trial of PVP fight where we get to fight the Knights of the Round!!!!! YES ALL OF THEM!!!!
There isn't really much else to take from FF7 at this point. Maybe Tifa costumes for Monk or Yuffie stuff for Ninja, but that's just fanservice.
We already have Golden Saucer and Materia, and Cloud's AC outfit is a vet reward. I think FF7 has a pretty strong presence in this game ATM. I could go for some more FF8 or FF6 stuff though, maybe even FF12.
Well i DO would like a Bustersword for my DRK cuz it would match well with the Strife Armor but...im fairly calm about the stuff. Never understood the Hype about 7 and i get horrible headaches when i try playing the game (dunno maybe graphic is to old for me or something).
I feel so sorry for people who have this opinion...because i remember looking at FF7 and having everyone in the room literally say, "wow, it looks so real".
Yes, graphics have come a long way...but at one point, FF7 was the pinnicle of videogame visuals. That, ontop of it being such a good RPG, is why people love it so much.
It's not like i say "the game is bad" it's more like "i don't understand why are you freaking out so much, but i'm happy for you".
The Graphic topic, yeah it's a bit scary how fast graphic developed in the last 5-6 years :) but i dont get headache because i think the graphic is "ugly" i don't know why but i really get headaches when i look at the screen with all this pixilated stuff.
I am sad no one really cared about my suggestions :(
I think he was referring to the larger FF7 version, which is dominantly focused on the Moogle. I'd imagine that would work as a mount too, since that's what Cait Sith uses it as essentially. Future Gold Saucer item(s) maybe... since that's where you meet the character.
You probably just aren't used to the idea then. It's similar to people who dismiss old black and white films/shows as boring, simply because they don't use proper colors. THAT is unfortunately a sad situation, since a number of those old shows (e.g. original Twilight Zone eps) are beyond the writing/acting capabilities of many of today's programs.
In some cases though, the resolution just may cause actual vision or mental problems because of the type/size of TV/monitor you use. Old monitors and TVs weren't exactly anywhere as vibrant, afterall. It'd be like getting used to staring at static for hours without end for some people. If you were to play them on smaller screens, particularly something like a Vita, and you still suffer this, it's more than likely not due to the screen and is just something that you aren't used to.
If they do this I would certainly like:
and other assorted weapons like they did for the FFXIII crossover event.
- Buster Sword for Dark Knight
- Death Penalty for Machinist
Also, hairstyles, outfits and minions from the main characters would be great.
Mount-wise, I want that giant deformed "moogle"... thing... that Caitsith rode around on, and since we can have "abilities" on these mounts (like the magitek stuff or the goobbue sneeze), would be funny if we had an ability that animated it like when Caitsith was giving a fortune, maybe even have a /say message with one of the generic fortunes he gave in that scene.
