the PSP, PS3, and PSVita all use emulation software to get PS1 games to work.
At least, as far as I know, seeing as how they've added a few PS2 games to the roster and later models of PS3 specifically lack the hardware to run PS2 games.

Hah, I still own my "misprint" version of FFVII, each disc still works too. xD (The i in masterpiece is out of place in the back lol.)

I still got a few PSX games now that I think about it.

That's...not true at all.

Only way it would ask you to do that is if you went back in the story via a debug room or something.

But since we don't know what the name of the next expansion (if there is one) will be, does anyone want to take a guess on what Disc 4's title could be?

You're probably right, but I could have sworn there was something. Maybe it was another game series. Sorry for the slip-up.

Still have my FFIX disk somewhere. Every now and then I take the out and play it on my PC. My ps1 crapped out just like my PS2. Those old games (psx, ps2) were great. If Square decided to bring out a ps4 version of vii-ix, that would be awesome. (Not buying a PSP).

I came in here half expecting people to be demanding disc swapping being added to make the game more "challenging".

And I'm sad no one has mentioned MSG1 and MGS4. In the first Metal Gear Solid, there was a door you walked through which prompted the "please change disk" message. When you visit the same facility in MGS4 and walk through the door, Otacon gives you the same message, to which Snake reminds him they are using Blueray Discs, triggering a lengthy conversation about the advancement of technology.

The only game that came to mind with this was Star Ocean 4 on 360.

Use the PC ports than. Granted IX doesn't have on yet be I know it's coming at some point. For FFVIII, SE better use the old or Dissidia style music cuz the PC ones were horrible.

I remember my friend's Disk 3 not working for FFVII and lending him mine.. I NEVER GOT IT BACK!

I'm replaying through Legend of Dragoons, on Disk 4, get to the point where I can travel anywhere, enter a town to buy an armor piece "Please Insert Disc 2" go to a place for a side quest "Please insert Disc 3"
