I guess the bundle (ARR+HW) doesn't give you the early access. Doesn't make sense, but it was not listed on the features, and someone was already complaining about it in another topic. Just be carefull, as you said, you do care with your money.

It does make sense. If you are buying the bundle then you don't already play in ARR (disregarding this whole PS3>PS4 upgrade business). If you don't already play in ARR but need to complete ARR to enter HW, then you really don't need early access to HW.

Well for anyone that wants to buy the disc version if they can't get this sorted out in time, a Sony rep from their chat said that digital and disc can't be used together.

I am curious though, with the disc version once it is registered to your account you can download the digital version. I may be wrong but I think that to be correct?

If that is correct, Would you not be able to do the same with the expansion? Register it to your account then download it digital?

Actualy, it's not the only scenario. You can be someone who has the PC service (and played all the ARR content) but is going for PS4 for any reason, or someone who used to play os PS3 and was waiting the bundle to switch to PS4.

In any case, they ARE pre-ordering HW, even in the bundle (I assume the discount in the bundle would go for ARR), and, imo, they deserve the early acces. Even the scenario you describled, the player could be rushing to join some friends in the new content. In any case, who decides if wishes or not to play the content in early acces is the player, not SE.

The only reason I can see is that they'r not giving the EA to players who got the bundle for business reasons (a.k.a. discount on bundle).

Once you install the game from the disk, the disk is required to play. There are a lot of bizarre scenarios combining Digital + physical copies, but I'll resume one that hapenned with me.

I had the digital version on PS4 in one PSN acc. I have bought the disk for another account (SE and PSN) and ended up installing it. Since that, both could only play trought the disk.

So, I uninstalled FFXIV from my PS4, re-instaled the digital version and now it works for both acc. Never again that Blue-Ray will come in again (my PS4 had that auto-eject issue for sometime, so I prefer digital versions):P

I found that weird, as Gamespot Canada (ebgames), has the complete version listed with the early access.

So I do not understand why it wouldn't be offered in the PSN version.
If not, I will just have buy the standard HW version (hard copy), to get early access, as it seems that way works, as well.
I would imagine that HW will have it's own key and that it will just require you to have ARR installed beforehand.

PSN's issue is that their PSN system does not detect our game as being purchased, which is why it won't allow us to purchase the add-on (HW).

Ok if anyone knows more about this, from going back and fourth between Sony and SE chat support. The early access code should allow to download the game digitally without it needing to see that you own the base game but neither support could comfirm this 100%. On SE part they said that the early access code will only allow you to play EA period which will need to enter in regular reg code but the client should remain the same. Sony kind of said the same thing in less words seemed to be even less knowledgeable about what was going on though. Anyone have any insight on this?

Anyways i bought another copy of arr and it allowed me to pre order, it didnt even download anything for basic arr client i think its just license change psn basically treats the ps3>ps4 upgrade copy of arr as a trial copy. After i login for the first time with newly purchase arr client it told me to choose a service account which i want to associate this client with. I only have one and cant click to select or deselect, hit next and came to warning page about stuff hit next again i login as usual, with my current service account character. When i login to mogstation i notice there is 2 service accounts one that i am currently using and the other is an empty account with no character available but has a 30 day free trial period. Non the less i still can login to ffxiv from my ps4 with no probs whatever and the pre order bonuses is listed on my new ffxiv arr i purchased. Wonder if its gona cause an issue in the future? Or my current service account be able to access hw and get preorder bonuses since psn id is tied to SE id i would assume so. Advice pls?

I guess you just messed everything up. You probably now have two diferent services on the same MogStation and, once you buy HW, it'll be for this new service, not allowing you to use it for your old characters.

I dunno, it's a weird scenario, but I guess you did not choose the wise path, my friend...

If I have to buy a new copy of XIV for PS4 I'm not using PSN, I will go buy the disc from the store which is actually $10 cheaper then PSN and then buy the disc version of heavensward.

Dunno bought that i bought hw but its not pre loaded so not sure... but according to SE site once hw is up for early access and you start up ffxiv client with add on intact it will prompt you to choose which service account to use it on before finalising setup. http://support.na.square-enix.com/fa...la=1&kid=73011

A friend of mine who did the upgrade campaign has told me he was able to pre-order just now. So give it a shot

Yeah, it's working. Looking at the screen right now... Proceed to Checkout... Confirm Pre-Order... And done. Theme downloaded, playable in 15 days, 7hours, 20minutes.

Its working now, It let us Pre- Order.. I got a confirmation email from Sony.. but nothing about an early access code.. will we actually need one?

When the PS3 version came out there were no pre-order codes given out it was just automatically unlocked when EA started.

All of you that panicked and bought an all-in-one or hard copy, well...
There was lots of time and they did say that they were working on it.

I'm happy now. :)

My wife did the PS3 -> PS4 upgrade and she's still unable to purchase. We're in the USA (Kentucky if that matters) and she just checked on her computer, on her phone through the Playstation App), and through the PS Store on the PS4.

Any tips or just be patient still?

I still cannot do my pre order, I upgraded from ps3 to ps4 campaign and it still does not show in PSN that I own Final Fantasy 14 so I cant do my pre order....

My wife and I can't pre-order Heavensward either, and we did the PS3 -> PS4 digital upgrade as well. I chatted Sony support and after talking with them, he advised I contact SE which I wanted to do but they're closed until tomorrow. :/

Wondering why they announced it was "resolved" when it's clearly not.

Have you guys already tried downloading the ARR demo so that you receive the option not avail first, then proceed to our order?

I still can not pre order myself, just tried this morning after work and a no go.

Download the demo version of ARR and you should be able to purchase the expansion.

I'm at work and I haven't been able to try it. But I called SE earlier today and the guy told me to go to setting- account management and restore License. and that should fix the problem. try and respond please if it works. ihave 8 more hours off work :(

none of this worked, can not download the demo because it says its already installed on the ps4, restored my license and still can not pre order, this is just complete and utter B.S I have been trying to contact S.E support and all I got was a email last week saying they would respond in 48 hrs, well its been a week contacted psn support and the guy says its not avail for pre order. Well no sht Sherlock that's why I am calling you, so he says contact SE gezzus fking christ

so I just tried something I put realm reborn in my cart, and it allowed me to see the pre order but it would not let me purchase the game so apparently the psn is not recognizing that I have purchased realm reborn thus enabling me to pre order heavensward

I'm having this issue as well? PS3 -> PS4 upgrade. It keeps saying that purchase is not available and we're in Canada, not the UK.

Edit - I just noticed it keeps asking me to buy the game? As though I'm on a demo. I reset the registration like some suggested and it did nothing. We've been playing / paying for this since early access in 2013. I thought they fixed this :/

Edit 2 - ok I did the demo thing, and it worked. I had to hit play for it to kick in properly.
