Need, Greed-Glamour, Pass -> Suggestion

The easy solution to this is to speak up at the beginning of the dungeon if you want/need something. Most of the time, other people will agree to pass.

As an example, I was running ST the other day, and one of the healers asked if they could have any healer stuff that dropped because they needed it for desynth. The other healer said sure, and everyone was happy.

Yes, but what I am proposing is gear no longer drops from chest at all, just give everyone the same amount of tomes and let them buy what they want.

Nope sorry. Your need for better gear doesn't trump their need for glamour. If you both can hit need, you both have every right to.
