36 hours = 16 leves (8 locals and 8 battles (+DoL and fractions))

48 hours = 16 leves
1.19:
12 hours = 4 allowance points (to get a new leve or to reset a failed leve cost 1 point)
1 hour = 0,33 points
48 hours = 16 points

It depends what you want to focus on though. You are getting 4 less leves overall but are being allowed to focus even more on any specific thing. Don't forget the battle changes that will most likely be making enemy grinding more rewarding and this system is tailored specifically for those with less time on their hands, who benefit immensely. I'm also willing to give up those extra leves to be able to marathon them 2 days a week, personally. I see the point on guild marks but those come easily enough as it is nowadays and I'd easily take this more flexible system anyway.

oh i agree with you there. i was just showing why the people that aren't happy with it have been stating in the ls chats all morning why they do not like them. for them it's less leves which would mean less chances at guild marks over the same period of time. i have most all abilities and have nowhere near as much need for marks, but i can see the drawbacks others have.
As I've said elsewhere, I really like this system for a number of reasons. However, I do see one problem I would like the devs to keep in mind.
If my math is right, DoL leves are going to give, percentage-wise, far too much SP per leve. Right now you can only get 6 (good) DoL leves per 36 hours, which is a reasonable balance of SP for that timeframe. However, if you can really get 12 DoL leves per 36 hours, ranking up (which is already insanely powerful with DoL leves) is just going to be absurd.
Hopefully there is some balance that can be struck.
Does gathering fatigue affect guildleves? If it does that would be some kind of limiter.
Having them level quickly might influence more people to level them up, though.

do the math you cant do more then 8 in a 36 hour period, just because you can pick up four more on the 36th hour doesn't mean you can do them within that 36 hours.
- Players will receive an allowance of four leves every 12 hours (Earth time), up to maximum of 99.
- The allowance will be shared amongst regional, local, and faction leves.
Bullet 2 leads me to believe that all leves will share the 4 max between them
your math is still off
you should also count hour 0 as the starter and you get 4 at that point
so you basicaly can do 4 within each 12 hour period, not 4 after each 12 hours has passed is a more accurate way of looking at it
cuz obviously, using your way of thinking, you could do 0 per 36 hours under the current way it works
since from hour 0-36 you cant do any leves, but you earn 16 after 36 hours you can do, but the 36 hours are up so they dont count(hence why you have to count hour 0)

Reading too much into something so simple. The reset timer will probably moved to JP midnight, every JP night you get 4 leves, simple as that.
What? You don't have to wait 12 hours before getting those first 4 leves.
Hour 0 - 4 leves,
hour 12 - 4 leves,
hour 24 - 4 leves

They could have given me one leve a day and I would still be happy that I no longer have to battle to keep up with the leve cycle.. It seems like i never get to do anything else because all my time is dedicated to getting my leves done. Don't get me wrong it's still fun, but I'd like to get a grind party or something once and a while.
Very needed change on Leves. having the leve reset timer on the back of your mind just because you dont want to miss it is very tedious. Hopefully they go with the JP midnight and noon timer for allowance, although it doesnt really matter with what time zone they go since they stack up ;p
But coming weekends players wanting to level up DoL classes will have a field day xD
I like that it's being shortened to twelve hours to get a fresh set of leves. Hopefully they add some more variety to the leves so you don't end up with the same ones every time.

But what's to stop me taking that one rank 50 crafting leve and doing it repeatedly 50 times? lol. I suppose there's still the risk the leve could respawn as its 40 version...
I always liked to do mine on a 72 hour clock and do 32 at once. I'd collect all leves from one cycle and then after they reset again I'd have two sets of leves to do. It saved a tonne of anima since I could just return and stay in the same region for longer.
You're partially right. The fatigue doesn't affect your leve but your allowance still ticks down. Try doing 16 gathering leves in a row and then seeing how much normal gathering you can do afterwards. This is why you should always do your leves after your day's gathering.
Looking forward to the day I spam 99 rank 40 fishing leves at rank 35. But I figure DoL leves will be nerfed by then. They're already too powerful.
this change is pure WIN in my eyes. The reason why is it is such a complete victory for both the hard core grinder, as well as the weekend warrior. The weekend warrior can do all their accumulated leves on the weekend. The hardcore grinder has a more constand income of leves from which to choose. Additionally the whole 8 locals and 8 battle/field leves restriction has been done away with.
Keep in mind two we will have Grand Company leves to do as well. So those who think that our leve production has dropped, don't forget the Company leves
Dev, where are thou? Maybe have to wait till after weekend for a clear up.
The patch notes need serious revisions to ensure people dont get confused, its not good for the typical who just view them, think wrong and say "Meh wait for 1.20".
Examples show deeply how it works (before/after), etc.
I hope the completion reward is upped for more solo play because right now its complete trash, 100 xp a mob then 700 for a completion at horizon is horrible.
