Please make the Au Ra horns separate from the faces!

Agreed, I loathe that 'meme' and find that it's both overused, and becoming borderline offensive. Not sure why, probably I'm just sick of the smugness that seems to accompany it's use.

That said, I do wish that the horns were not linked to the face OR that they had a slider to change their size.

Can we add a customization for miqo's too (literally exactly like how they did the optional scales for Au'Ra). I want the cheek markings but not the forehead ones. ;;

Haven't been able to use the character creation due to laptop going in for repairs (oh what great timing for it to mess up on me!) I've seen many screenshots. Having the face and horn styles linked seems very limiting.

This would be nice, but even if they were to change that, I would still be disappointed in the options for horns...

4 options isn't enough for something so important. At least the female ones look good, but 2 of those 4 male horn options look very weird IMO... I'm talking about the 2nd and 3rd option.

I still like the design of the race though

How about adding one or two additional face styles to each race? Honestly I am surprised that we are not anticipating such expansion in character options with an expansion to the game. It's nice to have the new race, and 3 new jobs, but honestly, I'd really have liked to see some additional character optios for the existing races too. That and a dye-able RSE set....

The same goes for Miqo'te because I wanted the markings I had in FFXI so bad but it looks like she rubbed her nose in dirt. Couldn't stand it so I had to pick something different. I'm kind of confused as to why they have locked certain options to a particular face. I know it's impossible to make changes before 3.0 but it would be pretty sweet if they made this change at some point. On another note, where are the earrings on the Au Ra going to be placed or show? I would be pretty upset if they just didn't show earrings on the horns or some place on the head.

Fortunately the horns I like are on the faces I like anyways but. Not having a choice of which horns to use is completely disappointing.

Tera made a similar mistake as well in their character creation. Linking things like Elins animal type to specific hairstyles. Really limited their already supremely limited char creation anyways.

I'd love to see this too! The main reason I am waffling over whether or not to go Au Ra is because the horns I love are on the face I like the least, and I am not fond of the horns on my favorite face. :/

Miqo'te markings being tied to the face type may be annoying, but horns are part of your character's silhouette. You can see them from all/most angles and notice them from afar. Heck, they can even block part of your character's face when viewed from the side. :p

I don't understand why it should be limited due to some big technical limitation. I mean, Elezen and Lalafell get to choose their ear shape (and size, even), y'know?

Horns are far more prominent than elezens' ears ever were, and they are separate. The horns are so prominent and different between each other that they alter the character's look and feel significantly. So do the face types. Locking them to each other result in mixed result for those who were not already after that specific combo.

I would love the horns to be customizeable separate from the faces! It was my only real downside in the Au'Ra character creation experience (though even then, not much of one). Would be super nice, though, to divorce the two options.

This is really a stain on the char creation. The faces are different enough to stand on their own. They don't need to be bound to the horns to be distinct.

Seeing as how the [Petition] aspect of the title was removed by a moderator, it is quite clear that the team is aware of this thread and the amount of people quite unhappy with the current state of Au Ra horns and faces. May we please get an official response from the development team already? It would be quite poor if SE tried to just sweep this all under the rug with no response.

This bothered me with Miqo'te cheek marks and it bothers me here too. It bothered me also with the miqo'te face for each clan that has a brown nose. I hope this gets looked at somehow.

Though I haven't gone to confirm, I'd guess that petitions are actually against the forum rules. It's a pretty common rule on forums like this one. So to keep the thread within the rules and allow for further discussion, they just made it "not a petition."

Signed - if the community wants it, and Yoshi p and the developers actually care about their fans - I don't see why there shouldn't be a option in the future.

It's not like the head shape changes virtually at all really when it comes to helmets & the like.

Not only this, but All facial features should be available to All faces for every race.

This is the only complaint I have with au ra, and it's a big complaint. Enough so that I decided not to change if they do not adjust this. 100% supportive.

It's never to late to change something... just if they want to spend the time on it to do it.

After the response they got to the male Mi'qote face marks and ears in ARR's beta, I was honestly surprised that you could not choose horn and scale patterns. Being able to choose your horns separate from your face would at least be a step in the right direction. I don't have much hope that they will actually make a change but /signed.
