I wonder... Will Miqo'te keep it's place as Nr.1 race, or will they get overrun by the Au Ra... The Males looks bad*ss and the females looks pretty/beautifull/gorgeous or what ever you wanna call it.

I think for the first few months (including early access) everybody and their mother will fantasia/create an Au Ra to get a feel for it. Though I am also curious how many will remain as one once the shininess of the race wears off.

There's definitely going to be an explosion of Au Ra when the expansion drops, but there is no way that they are overtaking the Miqo'te.

I just noticed something...
From those pictures it looks like it's only the Xaela (black scale/horns) that have the glowing eyes. And the Raen (white scale/horns) got normal eyes.
Could just be a coincidence from the choices of eyecolour on the models thou.

But if that's so, I am more sure then ever that the Xaela will dominate among those 2 clans.

I think people who love their miqo'te best will stay miqo'te :p. I've already been imagining myself with Au Ra horns and tail though!

Oh hey, nice observation! O.O It could have something to do with the lore too, however the whole Dawn Father and Dusk Mother story played out. I'm on the fence now D: I thought Raen would be my clan but the Xaela are just so pretty...

O_O, I didn't really notice the first time around but with that still image comparing to the other races it definitely looks bigger. That's awesome, he looks pretty freaking imposing in that screen.

Also the character creation screens ... ugh I may actually change my race... but I dont want to.. maybe I'm going to go through all my stocked up fantasia in the first week of heavensward XD.

For sure for a few months Au Ra will dominate, but once it becomes the norm instead of shiny there might be a drop off. That said I see atleast the female Au Ra rivaling female Miqo'te, and maybe even still have a decent male population.

I hope it's story related, it would seem really odd to have it change without any lore behind it. When whole SMN story was based around controlling the egi and such the above almost loooks like what the evil SMN was aiming for. So I could see SMN's getting an "upgraded" look while the base egi forms remain for the first part of the SMN story.

Yah, they said SMN was being reworked heavily. I look forward too it cause I play SMN a lot :\

Also, I'm not getting my hopes too high for the SMN pic because If i remember right in the 2.0 Benchmark theres a fuggin gigantic Adamantoise in the background and he never showed up >:I
