Crossovers: Yea or Nay?

Instead of cross overs, I would prefer to have those things re-designed/re-written to conform completely to the Eorzea world, make it part of it, yet make it obviously a "tribute" so anyone familiar with the original would see. But yeah, it's probably "not worth the cost" or too risky if it's intellectual property belonging to someone else.
