Btw, OP:

Putting up a NQ item with a XXXX3 prize works wonders if you want to attract customers to your bazaar And sometimes you can even scam someone into buying that NQ item at a much, much higher prize.;)

And the best thing is: it's not even possible to blacklist retainers. Since people can't remember all the names manually, they will inevitably fall into the same trap over and over.

I think there are ample examples of situations where the addition of a 3 is not a sufficient suffix.

But I do concur that this system does, when applicable, pave way for con-men and the like.

Anyway, Dev team, the simplest solution, as I may suggest, is to put a column in the list of users who got that item that lists how much HQ the item is.
It might be better if you could display it as stars, like 3 stars for a +3.

There are several posts in this thread that show you why the "add a 1,2,3 at the end of the price" wont help this particular scenario.

The only problem after doing this is a truncated list, the sales list does only show the 20 cheapest sellers. In this case OP should put a NQ helmet of the same for typical NQ price put make it 100,003. An intrested buyer sees this, then visits your'e retainer to see that you actually do have a +3 for a higher price.

I think it might be stupid for them if they didnt implement something like this from long ago, except they decide to stall this or they really have trouble querying HQ items into search window

They dont need to implement something if what is working around it (the core, in this case the HQ system) is being changed. Once they change to NQ/HQ or at the same time the changes are implemented thats when they should implement the HQ search or view. Remember they are not planning this as they go, they planned this right after the player polls.

So what is the point of implementing something if they will need to change it again?.

This works, but not so well when there are 20+ sellers of the NQ version.

Or they didn't think about it? The Item Search feature was brand new and they oughta add some things there are missing, but since they're worried about 1.19 now, I think we'll see this change in the future.

For now, a Dev answer that they're going to do something about this is sufficient =)

Id like to see a confirmation this is being corrected in 1.19 from a mod.

The problem is that there is so much cheap junk, and the list starts with the cheapest, that the great +3 stuff never gets listed in a search...theres already 20 NQ junk taking up the entire available list.

That said, if you are on Fabul Id be more than happy to buy it =)

Limiting the search function to 1 page and only 20 items was one of the dumbest most short sighted moves I have ever seen in a game. However FFXIV is kinda known for dumb shortsighted moves so I guess it fits.

I have been quoted numerous times in this thread and would like to clarify something. From the OP's original statement, I initially thought his problem was regarding how to list an HQ item to differentiate it from a normal quality synth. He then clarified that his actual concern was regarding visibility of HQ items, to which I had responded (waaaaaay back on page 2 people)

It seems the issue here is not being able to select something such as "view more" when searching the markets. You have a valid point there - with a slew of NQ and +1s listed, the +2 and +3 items don't get shown. I would be all for allowing players to either be able to turn pages to view the next 20 items up for sale, or "view all" or even better "view all +3 only" etc.

Hopefully some of those upcoming market ward enhancements mentioned in the notes will address the problems in the search system. I absolutely would love to see some improvements made.
