Enough houses.
Enough houses.
Most of these are space related because I’m a bit of a digital hoarder…
• Fishing tackle box – I know they have stated this will not happen, but I still hold out hope that someone, somewhere, someday will find a way to make it feasible
• Potions belt – Probably in the same category as the tackle box, but would be nice/helpful nonetheless to have one slot of a “bag within a bag” in your inventory to store all your potions
• Armory space – more of it – kind of a necessity given the incoming new jobs, as others have pointed out
• Retainers – Either more retainers or more space per retainer (even if it were the option to pay for more retainers through the Mogstation than the 2 already offered that way - I need space pretty badly so I would take that option)
• Armoire – This seems woefully underutilized in its current iteration. We should be able to store all the seasonal event equipment in there without restriction, at the very least. It would be nice to be able to store any equipment in there, really – with the condition that spiritbond levels reset any time you put something in (as is the case now). Failing that (if storing anything/everything equippable without restriction would cause too much “data bloat”), if we could at least be able to store “static” items in there (i.e., instance drop equipment that has the same stats every time, no materia can be melded into it, etc. – not crafted/aetherial drop items that can have varying stats and materia melds and therefore need a unique data identifier in the database to be able to access them), that would also help. I want to get all the instance sets for future levelling/glamours, but there’s no good way to accumulate them over time and store them without eating up tons of space right now.
• Account storage and/or Alt mail – Would be nice if we didn’t have to jump through hoops to transfer items from ourselves… to ourselves.
• UI saved server side – UI layouts saved server side upon logout, so that any custom layouts may transfer seamlessly between multiple platforms
• UI “profiles” – UI layouts able to be saved/loaded without having to make all the changes manually. I may not find the same layout I use for BRD as effective for WHM, for example, but there is no quick way to change this on the fly, currently. I may also have alts that want to use the same UI layouts as my main, but if I don't play on a PC, there's no way to replicate it other than manually setting all elements up separately again.
• Skill Target Forwarding - I'm tired of having to macro everything to either attack the target of the target, or heal the target of the target, just so that I can keep only either the enemy or the tank targeted the whole time while fighting but still be able to use all my skills. The software should be sophisticated enough that if I press an attack skill while I have the tank targeted, it should go through the tank to hit the tank’s target (presumably an enemy) instead, without me having to macro that out for every skill on non-DPS classes.
• Chocobo companion & Duty Finder queue – Please let us have our companion out while queueing for a Duty.
• Visible TP Bar – Because how can I know when to sing Army’s Paeon if I can’t see where everyone’s TP is sitting?
If a xatalog system is introduced pretty much like the chocobo gear system whereas is bought once and saved will eliminate much of the issues of space and retainer needs
I do agree a tackle box sounds good
Not sure if its been said, or related much.
But can we please be able to reorder linkshells, without having to leave, and exit?
The ability to mail more than 1million gil at a time.
Opened mail to auto-delete after 5 days - 1 week.
The ability to trade more than 1million gil at a time.
Raising or abolishing the ridiculously low gil allowance when transferring servers.
These. So much.
In all honesty, as a Bard, I really don't need to see my caster's TP any more than I need to see my melee's MP... Make any combination an option, of course, but I'd personally rather save the UI space and just have the one bar. (The only issue would potentially be Bard, for whom I'd like to see both, but that's not especially necessary either.) Could easily have the (same, single) bar swap between MP and TP (1) periodically (every 3s or so), (2) briefly showing MP on use by a primarily TP-based class (say, when a PLD flashes, returning to TP after a few seconds if he doesn't continue casting), (3) showing the lesser of the two values, (4) some other manner of priority system.
My priorities:
- Glamours saved per job (aka dependant on the type of mainhand equipped)
- TP bars visible in party interface
- UI sets to switch between (plus a macro-able command to switch)
- Housing server space dependant on server population (the fact that low-pop Server A has dozens of empty lots while high-pop Server B hasn't had a single one for months is literally embarrassing)
- blacklist for unlocked houses, whitelist for locked houses
-> compromise to save data space: a setting to allow party members/ls members/FC members to enter locked houses
-Being able to share personal houses.
-Have more linkshells.
-Have more houses available.
-Have the option to receive tells from friends only.
-Add more storage.
You can actually macro them all to change hide whatever amount you like with a hotkey. I keep one to hide all my gear sets, emotes, etc., and another to reduce my UI entirely to the target bar, cast bar, my buffs, and a CD bar. "Ctrl-Sft-Alt-Z / X" at the moment.
I'd like a vanity face slot for eyepatches, glasses, and masks. One that would be separate from the head slot, so that characters could wear things like eyepatches with hats.
I highly support these recommendations. Unfortunately it doesn't make sense to have GC-unrestricted Frontlines due to the way they wrote the story (probably a VERY big mistake). They would have to rewrite the storyline by having some kind of disaster strike the Carteneau Flats. This is quite possible though, as they left the storyline open ended regarding the Ul'Dahn Syndicate funding operations there.
I'd like to know as well, that would be really useful.
And to not go completely off-topic, I would love the ability to be able to add people to Friends List/Black List cross-server. I know, probably not do-able, but would love this feature :)
Wands that can glamor onto staffs. It's all one slot. I can live with out a shield.
Robes ie Austere Cowl split into two items for glamor purposes. I have been in love with these robes since 1.0. I want to use them please!
This:

Into a Cowl for the head slot:

Then the cloak under as a body slot. (Also for healers)
Allow us to see the TP bar, playing as bard it always a guessing game with that one.
Defiantly on and off for the glow for relic, zeta glow I like. but Novus and Nexus glow was way to much. Wont say pet name my drg relic got all wills ay it "Pink ....." XD
and being able to share housing would be nice, reason why my other half and myself haven't bother with housing because cant share the rights, even if our chara's are married.
Like to add one!
Make rooms in FC as well those have a house be allow to log in and out within the room. Seem only place do so still in inn rooms, giving us own rooms in FC would be nice if we could do the same instead being kicked out of your room/building.
My #1 suggestion:
1. Copy Rift dimension design for housing, 100% if it, from massive item limits, massive personal zones, to a perfect ui with enormous flexibility and so that players can actually create anything they can imagine from scratch!! its #1 and so superior to ffxiv atm, would really love to see this game even somewhat compare in that regard! :o
2. Ability to dye entire gear pieces
3. Ability to dye ALL gear easily, and without the need of a crafted augment, dungeon gear , token gear most current to oldest, no restrictions
4. A LOT more inventory space and retainer space
5. More UI changes, ability to break party ui up and move specific ppl anywhere on screen, more hotbars, a good out of range indicator etc.. an additional macro tab shared between all chacters/server
5. Ability to queue df with chocobo out!! also ability to have choco out + a pet minion O.o
6. Rift style glamour tab, save multiple sets/character/job without it taking up ANY inventory space!!
7. Hide relic glow BUT also ADD a relic glow for those that liked a specific look from a past relic.
8. High heelllllllllls omg enough boring flats /shameful se
9. Ability to dismiss choco or break pt with choco from anywhere (main cities etc)
10. Addition of the dye colors I submitted with picture examples to "suggestions" a while ago!!!
11. Auto zone into your own home/fc home (remove the need to click and confirm for ANY home that is open to public or your own (like the zones in main cities work) same for exiting.
12. Auto dismount by using an ability on a mob.
13 Ability to track and untrack ANY amount of quests from 0...to 1 to 20 if need be. totally our choice how many and which ones to display on UI
14. Filter for tells by lv
15. Ability to mail to ones own alt characters.
just a feww I can think of atm ;)
/hud <element> to toggle hide/show
i.e.
/hud dutylist
for hotbars use /hotbar show <#>
i.e.
/hotbar show 1
So, reading one macro directly off my alt
/hud dutylist
/hud minimap
/hotbar show 1
/hotbar show 2
/hotbar show 3
/hotbar show 4
/hotbar show 5
/hotbar show 6 (normally hidden CDs-only bar)
That's just my general clutter-killer.
(That's not to say that I don't wish for some improvements to this system of on-the-fly HUD modification, btw. It's far from thorough or fully intuitive. Ideally I'd like to be able to change bindings on the fly, but lack the lines to do so.)
Being able to hide unmarked quests from the UI (without disabling the Duty List).
When we do get this feature added, I hope it's has a search interface for glamours, similar to the marketboard. I know we should technically be grateful that we're even getting such a feature (because I have now doubt that we are), but I hope it's a bit more user friendly and navigable than the fishing log. Of course, that's assuming they don't rework the current glamour interface, which would still be much better than the fishing log example.
Edit: I would also love the option for a /prude option for specific armor. If other players want to run around Eorzea, showing off enough skin to make a succubus blush, that's they're right. However, if a player doesn't want their character to show off more cleavage than Merlwyb, be that character male or female, if would be nice to have an option to "button up."
P.S. For the record, Merlwyb is awesome.
id love to be able to remodel my small house add more rooms, upstairs verandah/balcony area etc
I agree with (bold being my top priority):
1. TP Bar
3. Glamour Catalog instead of the current system
5. Duo-Tone Dye System
6. Increased Armoury Space
7. Armoire Expansion/Improvements (e.g. alt transferal)
8. Hide Armored Tail/Helmeted Cat Ears & Horns
9. Hide Relic Glow
10. More Linkshells
11. Personal Housing Share Permissions with Friends (NOT just Eternal Bond Partners!!!)
12. Catalyst Tab (carbonized/dark matter/glamour prisms) & Tackle Box
I want to express my outrage at the Miqo'te headgear situation. Please keep the ear holes on future headgear, I can't even begin to describe the rage this inspires. Bandanas have them...why not other headgear? Why is it inconsistent? Please let their ears get some air! I hide 95% of my headgear for this reason alone.
Part of FC crafting in 3.0 was described as "glamors for housing", so whilst you wont be able to add extensions, you'll be able to given more customization on the exterior: http://www.playstationlifestyle.net/...ting/#/slide/1
The two biggest elements that are going to be introduced for Free Company crafting is going to be building your own airship, and you can build your own house. Like the external look of it. (The glamor reference was from a video interview iirc at PAX)
I really don't get the hide tails and ears option. Why not just play as a Hyur in first place. SE needs to give me Haukke Manor as a house. Also wait a minute, you can share housing with your spouse?
I think they should add more waymarks.
Personally the tail throws off a lot of the outfits. If I'm wearing full plate I would hide me tail in the plate armor. Or put plate around my tail. Wearing a dress? I wouldn't cut a hole in it I'd put the dress over it. Imagine you are in a fight something hits you from behind. What if it grabbed your tail and swung you around. Now imagine hearing marvel vs capcom 3 song. "I wanna take you for a ride " And Hyur does solve that but Hyur is also preppy. Not everyone grew up with a silver spoon.
But anyway more companions then the bird I'm over him. Time for my retainers to step up and defend their master. I worked hard to get them their gear! And allow Df q with companion out
- Ability to filter /tell by level of character that is sending the tell (to eliminate RMT spam from level 1 bots);
- White list that allows exceptions to above for: FC members, friends list, individual names
- Another, similar filter and white list for friend requests.
- Additional similar filters for /say, /shout. If needed, all of the above could share the same white list.
- Customizable tab targeting logic - near to far, far to near, left/right
- Double the allowed number of steps in macros (I hate having to use 2 macros for simple recipes).
good suggestion all around +1 like :D
oh crafting specific inventory so all the mats go that BIG BAG (like Gw2 )
Real storage that can be shared between alts and the ability to mail or trade between alts.
Right click report and 24hr blacklist for RMT's.
Most of your ideas are pretty good... save this. I don't want to go back to this. "What do you mean 'go back'?" You started last year so I can forgive you not knowing, but this is exactly how 1.0 handled the UI and it was terrible. There was UI lag, actual lag with the UI. If you crashed for any reason the UI would be reset to default forcing you to fix it back to how you had it. It's not something I want to see return. Ever.
Just an append, though, whose to say that Square isn't already using that expanded character data for Heavensward features? Just a thought.
Yeah, I already found them. I dunno when they were added, but they weren't on the macro list last time I checked it, but yesterday they were. Couldn't find one to nuke the chatbox though. (which is weird since it is an option if you use the numpad-menus, but isn't bindable nor has a macro I could see.)
Path companion. Barring that(hopefully temporarily...), can we have more poses and facial expressions that can last longer?
All of this is needed QoL!
TP Bar definitely needs to happen. It silly to have support classes with skills that restore TP without knowing what peoples TP are. Goad would be some much easier if you didn't need to be told to use it.
