Ok, I'm going another way - THE CNJ DID IT! If you look at it, most of things show to MRD, BLM, PLD or NIN. Who would be obvious choices due the fact because of their skills, and sometimes also answers. But, the CNJ is too innocent, so I'm pointing my finger to Lillian! The fire ice and everything else is due the elemental sprites y.y/
This explanation is bad but I still point my finger towards the CNJ!
Bump~ We're nearing the end!
Does protect magic count as "healing" magic?
If not, why were there no records of protective magic being cast in the vicinity? Did she really use protect? The conjurer is the only one who accounts to using it. Yes the black mage spots a blue glow coming from the bushes but that could have just been cure? or any conjurer casting ability actually seeing as their animation has a "blue" spot on the end of their weapon.
Suspicious in my mind.
Yes it is! Sorry, I should have made it a bit more clear in the OP.
Detected magic can be classified by either elemental magic (such as fire and water) or healing magic (such as Protect, Sacred Soil, and Physick). However, only a few set of spells do not fall under either categories, namely the Bio series and Holy/Dark magic. Basically, anything that isn't part of the six core elements do not fall into either category and as such is difficult to identify.
Today is the last day to get your answers in! I'll be closing the ability to submit answers in about ~24 hours. All participants that could answer at least one of the three (murderer, weapon, or skill) will be given a few points to start off when the actual event starts. In which case, you'll have a slight lead over everyone else!
Further submissions are now closed~ Any submissions after this post will not be counted. I'll post the answer in a little bit (in about ~2-ish hours) right after I calculate scores. Thank you all for participating! :D
Edit: I'm done with the calculations! Editing the post with the answers right now~
HERE WE GO!

Hello, new recruits! You've done a wonderful job at using the clues you've been given to figure out who the culprit is! Needless to say, I'm impressed that at least five of you have managed to get the maximum score for this round! Without further ado, let's go to the case analysis, shall we?
Analysis
Victim was attacked with controlled ferocity and extreme anger.
This specific detail actually gives a very big hint as to who was the actual murderer! As extreme anger is usually associated with a Maurauder, while controller ferocity is more like to be associated with the Paladin. With only two suspects, this detail already narrows down your list of prime suspects to those two!
---
Fine, clear, blue dust found on the body of the victim.
I had not anticipated that some of you would suggested the L'cie Brandiche. I was quite surprised! Sad to say that I won't be accepting that as an answer for the actual murder weapon. Main point being the detail right above this. If you take a closer inspection at the L'cie Brandiche, it does not emit any sort of particles or dust in this case when unsheathed, unlike the diamond weapons!

Area near wounds found to be slightly frozen. Unknown cause.
This particular detail should have given you some clue that at least either Ice magic, or a weapon made of ice was involved in the murder. At least, I hope it did point towards either one of them.
---
Multiple slashes by a sharp object on the back of the victim.
Found are a diagonal slash and one horizontal slash in a cross fashion.
These two points reveal a major hint as to which skill was used! From what was described, there were only two slash marks that were seen. After some of you mentioned about Gust Slash, I went and tested it out - paying very close attention to the amount of slashes that were shown. In fact, the Gust Slash animation has at least ~5 slashes! The actual skill used as Maim which can be seen below!

Body was slightly burned due to fire magic. Inflicted post-mortem.
A few of you were confused about this specific point as as such accused the Ninja of being the culprit. As from what the Ninja testified about the scene, his attempt to use a mudra had backfired which is the case of why the body was charred. However, the main point of this detail is to actually confirm a few of the testimonies. The burns were inflicted post-mortem. This means that it only happened after the victim was dead! Of course, this does not actually prove the Ninja's innocence, but we'll get to that soon.
---
Traces of ice magic was found, but not anywhere near the victim.
Healing magic was detected nearby. Unknown target.
These two points had no relevance as to what the weapon was nor did it tell you what skill was used. However, these two points are very important when you compare them to the testimonies to compare who was telling the truth or not. From there, you could narrow down the list of suspects!
The Answers
As per what I've written down in my notes, these were the answers for this specific case:
Muderer: Ardin Sarbonny, Maurauder, level 46
Weapon: Diamond Axe
Weaponskill, Spell, Ability Used: Miam
Order of Events
Now we get to the juicy bit! How everything happened and when everything happened in sequence! I had written out this whole thing before coming up with the testimonies, so apologies if I had missed out anything. Anyway, here were the sequence of events. The following few paragraphs were copy-pasted from my notes.
---
The Black Mage was off somewhere nearby killing sprites using ice magic (ice magic detected nearby?). At the same time, the Maurauder and the Victim had met up somewhere near to the area where the Black Mage was. The Maurauder raised his Diamond Axe when the Victim had her back to him, then used Maim to kill her in cold-blood. This was the first blue glow the Black Mage had seen which was the weapon unsheathing. He saw the Conjurer treading too close to the scene and scared her off. Of course, it did, and she ran off to the bushes. She then casted Protect on herself which was the second glow the Black Mage had seen. This all happened very quickly which is why the Black Mage saw the victim fall down.
At this point, the Maurauder hurriedly left the scene of the crime, but soon after he did, the Ninja came across the body of the Victim. He tried to wake her up, but upon touching the body, he realised it was cold. He noticed someone hiding in the nearby bushes and yelled for help. The Paladin heard the yell and looked away from his grimoire and into the direction of the yell. This is the part where he notices the three people - with the Maurauder not in sight. The Conjurer came out of hiding and approached the Ninja that was calling for her help. His silver weapon glimmers in the moonlight indicating that the weapon was made of in the least, metal. The Conjurer tried to heal the Victim, but she was already dead which leads to the Conjurer healing herself instead (the target of the unknown healing spell). The Ninja attempted to use Katon to warm her up, but instead, it lead to a small fiery explosion that charred the victim's body (inflicted post-mortem). End scene.
