When will digital download be available for PS4?

It's been released on the Japan PSN Store. So probably later this week or next week.

I truly just don't understand why so many people are freaking out about it not being available to pre-order yet. I really don't care when they release it as long as I am able to get it in time to play in early access. If any of us are affected and not able to play in early access THEN you will have something to complain about.

Until then... grow up and try not to blow your allowance. Makes no difference if you buy it now or the day before the cutoff.

a week before release

It's kinda sad that theres been no confirmation from anyone outside of "yeah soon.... please look forward to it." PS3 dont get physical copies in europe. so having to rely on psn for a preorder that by rights should have been availible to everyone on the same day is a bit of a P*ss take.

We're all just worried because the deadline for redeeming early access codes draws near, also SE has just kept us in the dark about it. They could just give us a date.

i can easily see them giving psn downloaders early access and pre order bonuses regardless if we do pre order from the look of things

That doesn't make sense, that would mean every single person with a sub to ARR would be able to access it, so imo we definitely need early access otherwise they wouldn't advertise early access on PS4 physical copies.

uhhh everyone does, i entered my EA code and downloaded the add on to get ready for it, there even was a huge warning about this on the lodestone and start up when the EA codes for EU players caused errors

The fact that the devs have repeated countless times, "a little longer and to be patient", tells me that everything will be fine. There is just no way, NO :WAY:... that they would allow literally :thousands: of players to be restricted from playing during early access when thousands of others had an unfair opportunity. It just won't happen. So I beg you all to keep your pants on and worry instead about how you are going to stay up for all 3 days of early access to hit level 60 first. =P

I should clarify, Ps4 users who buy the DIGITAL version do not require a code.

Source: I have a jp account and already bought and downloaded HW. The description stated it would become accessible on the 19th.

This only works if you already have ARR installed, and does not apply if you are buying the ARR/HW combo.

Oh I get it, so what you're trying to say is as soon as you buy the digital HW you're able to download the client for it and hence just start up the client on day one of early access and play it?

Sounds like that could be it.

If I recall back with the FFXIV PS4 launch, thats exactly how it was. We pre-downloaded FFXIV and started when it was PS4 early access.

That's cool, but SE need to tell us why only JP have been given access to the download?

Because both Sony and Square Enix are Japanese based companies. They get everything first lol.
Maybe they need time to translate everything :p
