Healers DPSing?

Welcome to FF14, where only bad or lazy healers don't DPS.

People that use mounts between harvesting node, I mean come on as long as it takes you to stand there and call it you could have been half way to the next one...

the frustratingly ridiculous amounts of fucking RNG used in this game!

-Healers not dpsing
-People who think healers should never dps
-Ninjas not using Ninjutsus
-Ninjas who put down single target Dotons
-Bards not singing
-Monks attacking from one side only
-Tanks spinning mobs around
-Black Mages spamming Blizzard with full MP
-Dragoons not using Heavy Thrust

I guess gear grind grinds gears? xc

Melee DPS who get the bomb debuff when fighting Amon in Syrcus Tower, and remain oblivious to the fact that their explosions are damaging everyone else and pushing people away from the boss.

Healers who forgets that Amon's debuff can be esuna/leeched :p

Healers that don't realize you can esuna/leeches that off.

When I as a caster needs to use lb cause the melee doesn't (although I admit the few times I play on my melee jobs I can forget the lb too)
When I decide to go as X job, and then I get a bad tank/dps/healer and wish I would go as that job instead.
Joining a "going for the kill titan ex, know strat" and half of the people don't even know what to do after heartphase.

and my biggest one, it will almost make me angry.
People who play blm and don't know the rotation. It has the easiest rotation in the game, and some people still can't do it. (using transpose instead of fire 3/blizzard 3, I actually saw one blm who initiated every pull with flare)

dps.. don;t dps, keep me alive while I pull 15 mobs and use no cooldowns, and I'll still bitch at you. dps with no braincells to rub between them. ignore fight mechanics the healer can handle it...

you know what, i don;t "let you die" trust me, i try my damnest to keep you alive, but after pulling every mob possible between the start and the first boss, and this fails AND then you proceed to do the EXACT SAME THING again. without even a word of asking, half the time not even a "hello"

So yeah, the only reason you're not dead to the very first mob is cos I enable your mangy arses to get away with this s**t.

Map completion?

Oh boy here I go.

1 takes forever to fill a T12 progression party.

2 Clear sellers hate with a passion.

3 people joining a light farm party with a 1 tank 2 or 1 heal 5 or 6 dps set up then just switches to a tank...

4 the deck rules in TT and the random rule.

5 People who keep whining about wanting the game easier.

Trying to click on the bell, chest, door, w/e and instead clicking on people's names that when you try to move the camera to get around, can't unless you go first person view.

Tanks that don't use a proper buff rotation so that I as a healer cannot dps very much and everything winds up taking longer.

Dragoons spamming Ring of Thorns to AoE.

Caster mobs that don't run to you but stand away lazily.

Wiping 5 minutes into a 10+ minute fight cause a DPS can't get their shit together.

Doing content I don't want to because the Pros of doing it out-weigh the Cons.

The only time I ever have an issue with healers DPSing is when it's ALL they do even though the party is in dire need of heals. But I have seen some awesome healers switch back and forth like a boss, and they totally deserve praise.

Why hate the sellers? They wouldn't exist if there were not a ton of people buying runs.

When I accidently use synthesis and screw up making an HQ item. Especially when I used hq materials. Just...the waste...

Playing with people with no vision, grind my gears.

A black mage/ summoner that uses LB on big pulls is something I much MUCH prefer.
100% of healers that dps will get my commendations

What bothers me is the long queue times for frontlines. Thats the most enjoyable way to farm light!

I've been seeing this more and more lately, especially the flare spammers :/ and the sad part is, half of them have novus or zeta. How do you play a job for that long (lights etc) and not know how to play it?

Do you know what grinds my gears? How limited character creation is. I wish certain features were less restrictive, like having users use body sliders or at least choose how built a character is. There's boob and height sliders in this game; at least make some for arms and thighs. Is it is now, everyone seems too "idealized" and it's odd to see everyone have the same body shape. It'd also be nice to have some clans share more face and hair options. I tried hard to make an Asian-looking Hyur Highlander, but none of the options could make anything close to what I wanted. The best options were limited to the Midlanders and even the damn Miqo'te could look more Asian than the Highlanders. We need more variety, because too many characters look similar imo. I hope this is fixed in Havensward.

Ninjas wearing suits especially the gold ones! I'm so annoyed by this I refuse to heal them. I'm starting to feel this way about people dressed up as maids.

While we're at this, I'd like to note we lack great options for red hair as well. We get pink to a desaturated brown but no real ginger colors between. Elezen need moar red head options dammit.

The only other thing that really wears me down in this game is the constant RMT tells. It's gotten so bad on my server that sometimes I just don't want to log in.

Interesting. I think this is the first time I've heard someone complain about healer DPS because they feel overshadowed O.o

If a healer is out-dpsing you, you clearly arent a REAL dps.
Team content is a COLLECTIVE effort, more everyone participate, the better it goes.
Any extra effort a player can provide helps the performance of others.
Doing the bare minimum requested is a horrible standard, that kind of player mentality is killing my fun.

Yes, let me just mash Cure for an hour. Sounds like fun. In fact, let's take away the Tank's ability to do damage. He supposed to be taking damage, not dealing it!

A 50k tip for a measly 10 HQ crafted Hippo (easily done with a none food macro, at 100% rate)? That's overpriced any way you look at it. You can probably buy 10 HQ hippo on the mb on most servers for that amount of gil.

I hope there comes a patch that informs people that abilities like Holy also have special effects added to them like you know, aoe stun. And one that informs dps they should kill adds when they spawn.

To be fair, even someone competent and geared in their choice DPS class, they often can't match WHM for AoE on large packs. Even post nerf, Holy is just really good. I daresay if someone were to measure my DPS while holying a pack, I just might often top the charts.

If a healer is out-DPSing DPS on single target, however... Yeah, they're just not trying.

Complaints/grinding the gears eh? Well, one can clearly see that everyone's different from each other just by the complaints listed in this thread. Some of which I think are even silly. But who am I to judge? For I have complaints myself. Things that really grind my gears... Oh boy... here we go...

1: DPS not doing proper DPS rotation. (I once saw a DRG do nothing but spam Full Thrust, along with one of my FC members seeing a DRG do that. For crying out loud, even if you don't use Heavy Thrust to power yourself up for a bit, at least get the 3 step combo right)

2: Healers who never DPS. I don't mind these healers as much as the next one I'm about to mention, but come on... if you've got a moment, switch on Cleric Stance and get some DPS in.

3: Healers who DPS too much. These healers grind my gears even more than the last one I mentioned. These are the kind of healer players who hardly, if at all, pay attention to your HP and that of the party, and allow you to die because "OMG! I WANNA SPAM HOLY ALL DAY!" Newsflash, that only gets you so far. If someone dies because you insisted on Cleric Stance DPSing the whole day and didn't even pay attention to the Tank's HP, that's on you Healer. Yes, there ARE instances of Tanks and DPS players not paying attention as well and getting quickly killed for standing in easily avoidable AoE, but that doesn't mean you Healers are excluded from bringing the team down. Say what you will about the overhealing "I don't DPS" healers, but at least they understand their primary goal as a healer. Seriously, if you only care about DPSing and are hogging up a Healer spot just because you want to simply only DPS in a different way... SWITCH TO A FREAKING DPS CLASS! There's plenty of options among DPS. Leave the healer spot open for those who are actually willing to heal the team.

4: Healers who won't heal a particular player, regardless of the player being skilled and useful to the team, simply because of choice in "clothes". This is rather rare for me to see, but in those rare instances, my own female Miqo'te, or another female avatar, won't get healed because they decided to be in sexy clothes for the dungeon run. Get a grip whoever is playing as that healer. You refusing to heal that player and not rez them because of their choice in clothes is FAR more detrimental to the team then the said female/male avatar looking like they're ready to hit the beach. Welcome to the MMO community, where you're likely to run across nakey characters male and female alike. Don't like the thought of running into someone like that? MMO's may not be for you then.

5: DPS and Tanks not dodging any of the easily avoidable AoEs, and then blaming the healer for their own faults. Oh yes. I've been on the other side too. Getting blamed for the stupidity of the other players, even though they should realize I can't heal them through that crap because they keep standing in it. "I thought you were better geared!" I am, and I thought you were better brained. Don't stand in the fire you twit!

6: BRD's who don't use songs. Ever. I'm prepared to stress complaints about this for MAC's too.

7: SMN's who never use their pets. Rare for me to see, and it's often a simple oversight on their part when I notice and bring it up, but there's been a small handful... (This includes SCH's F.Y.I.)

8: Tank players who deliberately try to get their own party members killed. (See my posts in the Healer Horror stories thread)

9: Any time I press the wrong button when crafting, usually resulting in my product becoming a failure. I'm sure plenty of players here who craft understand this frustration.

10: Any time I get a NQ product when I have a 95% or higher to get a HQ product. Stupid luck and RNG...

I can't think of anything else right now. But if I do, I'll post again here.
