I am jealous of the SCH 360 knockback.
Not me, i remember you from Maelstrom. Just not for your kills :p

Even though premades ARE able to be more consistent, I don't think many of the names mentioned here are actually even able to premake parties while also playing with certain other players. I solo queued for about 800 matches, mmkay?! You don't see anyone mentioning the people who 100% premade only because it gives them a higher chance of winning because no one ever actually gets a chance to play with them.
I know this is off topic of the thread but wanted to ask. Where would be the best place to find a PvP LS? I looked under my world but all it contains are people looking for FCOB groups.
Dang, everybody forgot about phazed and blue blankets, they were the best before they quit.
best melee? the only one who can get battle fever in frontline 24 man

The "only one"?

i'm glad that some of the melee guys are figuring out how to make it work for something that's been considered a throwaway role in FL.
the best frontliner on our data center regularly has 20-0 games on drg, so there's definitely room to do amazing things if you keep working on it.
On Phoenix for flames Vadiant (forgot his second name) an amazing healer always ridiculous heal score
24man slaughter over 400k healed, against what seemed to be a mael premade
Consistent amazing heals and games won with him
Meaningless to me. A melee dealing damage with a high amount of kills with zero deaths is way more of an accomplishment. So what if you were able to freecast and spam Cometeors on people with Fever? -shrug- SMN damage is also really null since you can get 400k damage and like 3 kills as a SMN.
Casters in Slaughter are essentially nothing but hot air to me if they start bragging about their damage or kills.
I very much agree
I have to go through the vids I've saved on my PS4 and see if I've saved it or not- might not have, and it would be impossible to prove anyway because I could have changed classes so this is a 'believe me, or don't, it's up to you' kind of post. I topped the scoreboard in 24 man slaughter mode on Scholar with 6 kills... first/only time I've spent a match with battle high/fever (don't remember which) on that class and it says a lot for my team as well that I didn't get taken down considering how much of a target I was to begin with as a healer, plus with that symbol over my head and on the map. If I'd gotten those kills through cheapass tactics like energy drain 'kill stealing' (or 'kill helping' based on how you view the matter) I wouldn't have walked away with 5 commendations from that one. Plus using all my aethyrflows on every drains vs. lustrates would have made me a sucky healer. Not a single Cometor was used obviously, though I must have given a few people flying lessons.
Do I expect this to happen again like that? Not really. But I'll always have that one.
I've gotten high about 4 times as SCH <3. Always after a load of Aura Blasts, lol. It's hard to though unless the other teams are dumb and are close to edges for most of the match.
It's funny you mention this because I've had the 4 kill buff on my white mage before for ninja stealing kills or knocking people off and I'm like damn, now I'm more of a target x.x
duno if 20% bonus dmg is a nice thing for healers since they can't even cleric stance.
I don't think its very hard to get klls with a NIN in slaughter most of them just camp out around the entrances and pick people off. That''s why everytime i'm on WHM I make sure I SS and hop off my mount just before the jump with my finger on the fluid aura trigger lol. As for the topic at hand if I had to pick someone it'd probably be System Failure, he's a good BRD.
I'm a good BLM and SMN but I prefer going WHM these days (queing with parties that never want to heal eventually forced me to be the healer and now days I just go heals off the bat). I love playing as a WHM aggresively and knocking players into my party or off a cliff.
lol i'm constantly watching both opposing teams to see if someone is close to an edge. I will literally sprint into the crowd and fluid aura that person off. Hit regen and sprint back to my party before they can react. If they catch me swiftcast cure II. It's even better if the other two GC's are fighting each other and not paying attention to yours. Might be reckless but its so rewarding when you pull it off. It really pisses them off too.
Garuda can knock people off too which is hilarious.
Ah, the shockwave knockoff.
All of my experience comes from the release of Frontline to the slaughter patch. When Wolves Den first came out, I put in only a handful of matches, so I can't say anything about that.
Sometimes I'd be in a party with guys I knew were really good DD, and they'd swap to Healer... like Ix Lee & World Kraken, or would just heal a lot like Storm Rider, etc.. the list goes on. The guys who did that definitely made a difference, and at the time, were the best players to the team.
Flames had a strong core of players that would que solo. And as far as solo players go, only naming a couple not from my server...
Straigus Reyist & Dino Bravo come to mind. I've seen them top the charts for their role consistently for many matches. Huge assets to a team.
As far as opponents go, the yellow adders were notorious. I think it was mostly Balmung and Faerie. They would wipe out the party at markets. Cap the flag. Leave a healer to guard. Move on to our OP and kill anyone in their way. Then bounce back to Markets while the healer stalled if they need to. The strategy is basic, but their execution and speed was on point. Teams would scatter and continuously die before they figured out what was going on. When it was known they would que, it was a hit to the Flames morale. When I would run with a premade party, those were the best fights. I'd say Blubbers group was the most challenging/fun to fight against. I can't recall running into other premades that often. I know there was a really good one Maelstrom side.
As far as my own experience with premades and Sultansworn... Top 2 would go to Atreus Auditore and Momoko Tomoko. There's a lot of people that come to mind when I start thinking #3, so I just had to limit it at that. As far as frontlines goes, can't name anyone else that does it better. Others that are close, but yup. Best players.

I'd like to think we're pretty good.
Inb4 "wah wah it's only like that because you played the match as it was intended to".
Given it's a mage, you guys did fine coordinating LBs. Never really going to see a SMN get 16 kills solo or with the abilities they have. BLM is much more capable of that given their sudden burst damage. I.E Phantom Dart > Firestarter > Scathe(If they're on the brink of death).
It's not necessarily easy as NIN to get kills in Slaughter. Camping routine takes more skill than one gives it credit for. For example, we need to kill people off before they hit that jump pad. Otherwise it's a lost chance. Or the other result, we don't kill fast enough and someone else spawned it and was well on the way. So NIN do get a bit more credit when earning kills this way. Much more than KSing in the middle.
I survive landslides all the time! (until i fall)
People I've seen sticking out so far (Maelstrom side):
Goffard Gafgarion
System Failure
Hrafn Ingram
Cia Mir
Frederic Chopin
I'd also list entire teams of people who pretty much beat the odds in some games- but I don't have a lot of screencaps of matches; the names I listed were recurring ones who had heavy contributions either due to macros or just outright well play.
(note: this is FL, not WD, my rank isn't high enough for consistent WD games)

I find it funny that Win Logon hasn't even made it in this thread as best Summoner...
I've give win a vote on that end!
