Who said he isnt going to sleep you?
he's going to do that and blow you up, because black mages are extremely tanky lol

I feel like this back and forth is bait for me to post about how terrible and unbalanced mages are 1v1. No one will really disagree with me. They will just make up crap like "team" dynamics based on other types of games. Or talk about how awesome it is for mages to be able to run away. Or how the best mages can really win by annoying the melee by lasting 10 seconds longer than normal before they die.
When you say mages, do you mean just black mages, or both summoner and black mage? Because summoner is probably the best class in wolves den. Can win any one vs one, and can shut anyone down in the 1st 5 seconds of the match if the healers are not ready for it. And black mages are only powerful if the healer supporting him his good imo.
The event will officially begin in less than 2 hours from the time of this current post and will be streamed on Twitch. As an update, a team from Midgarsormr will also be joining us. Hope to see everyone there!
Rank 44 Monk looking for a team on Balmung if there's any spots open
Good luck to all of the teams that are participating!

Going all night by the way, if any other teams want to join. We've played about 4-5 teams?
Thanks for running this. It was fun facing you guys, your DRG wrecked us pretty hard. We definitely need to practice some more as we're pretty newb but I'm hoping to do this again if you guys are coming back.
It's way more fun than Slaughter, that mess needs to be removed lol.
Thanks for the games everyone! We'll be continuing tomorrow actually. 2/21 - any time of the day for mixed matches. So if you only have a partial team, you can still play. 9PM PST will be the start of the premade vs premade continuation.
Here is a list of the teams that participated today:

Thanks for playing today, guys! It wouldn't have been possible without everyone's participation and help. I updated the OP with the results for Ultros but would gladly add any non-Ultros games to the list as long as the screenshots are provided.
We'll also be playing for a few hours on Saturday night at 9:00pm PST and are hoping for more great games before we have to head back to Primal. If any teams are still interested in playing on Saturday night, please log on to the designated TeamSpeak server one hour before the commencement of the event much like today. Finally, I also apologize to everyone for the technical difficulties on my end today (first time using TeamSpeak and too many things going on at once D: ). Sorry about that!
Makes me wish I was 45 to join you guys. I'd love to have some small skirmish matches. Not to mention they run fast enough to be potentially better EXP than Slaughter at times.
And the Teamwork factor is likely a lot stronger. (From what I'm seeing on videos).
Had a lot of fun. As a Datacenter (Aether) ourselves, we really should setup a day every week to run Wolves' Den together.
How did this work out for either data center? Who ended up besting who more? :p
HUGE shoutout to Aether for being awesome hosts. We had a lot of fun, glad to see other players that are really passionate about PvP. Agreed, we should do some solo queues (open matches) anytime today before 9:00 PST so that everyone gets a chance to play. Might still have to get on TeamSpeak or something to organize it. Looking forward to doing more Wolves' Den today!
Yeah good games! Had a lot of fun.
Would be great to see some solo que going on, hopefully we'll see some old school, such as Dusty etc :p where is Dusty!? Someone pass him the message!
Hopefully i can get chance to face you guy soon with potse&midge! Not sure if they'll be on tonight.. :(
Agreed to weekly wolf den for Aether, that'd be great. I think someone tried awhile ago for solo que at least, didnt get much comment on it or something. Hopefully this will make it more active :p
9PM PST, today - We're continuing more premade vs premade matches. So far we have Ultros vs Balmung group 3 planned. More premades are welcome to play. We'll be playing for a while. Event still being streamed on twitch.tv/tiffyxy
:D
We had more great games with Balmung today, and I updated the results on the OP again. We're going to wrap it up with some games with Midgardsormr tomorrow (any anyone other teams that are interested) and finally a few more games with Sargatanas on Monday at roughly 7:30pm PST (a bit before the maintenance). We'll be seeing you guys on the TeamSpeak server soon. Thanks again for playing, everyone!
I'm supposed to be fighting on Monday. I can't speak for the rest of the guys but I'm going in this to shut you down. I'm just ferocious, I want your heart, I want to eat your lalafells! My team is the best ever! If we can't back that up and put up a poor fight, and end up a beaten dog, it'll be on me for not pulling my weight and I'll sport the "Flame Puppy" title for life! (until i race change to Au Ra) Praise be to Nanamo!
2/22/15 - 7:30 PM PST - Ultros vs Balmung's Group 4

Sorry for the late response, due to the way level sync works having a 3-4 stated relic is actually best in slot for i80 level sync by a lot. DET caps at 23, CRIT caps at 33, so even with an i110 wep before it gets further upgraded you can have capped DET, CRIT, and 19 extra points into anything else (accuracy, spell speed, piety, etc..). It's the reason i'm rocking 3 skill speed on my shield on pld, I hit accuracy cap and capped crit/det, so figured why not and dumped the extra 3 points into skill speed which brought my GCD from 2.50 to 2.49.
I know the overall deeps increase is pretty marginal, once I finish my relic on BLM it's going to translate to something like a .5% damage increase, but it's something to do to keep me busy while queuing.
Also Ultros sorry we missed you on Friday. We ran for a few hours against the 2 Balmungs, Midgarsormr, a Sarg group and possibly one other I'm missing, but we're all east coast and it was something like 1 AM at that point and one of our members had to call it. It was awesome getting instant pops and fighting some really strong teams, it was the first time my group had done any wolves den premades so we got wrecked but had a good time and took notes (and a couple lucky wins). We'll be back for the next event.
Just got through. We gave it our best shot but lost almost all the matches with a couple lucky wins. I can already see my mistakes and the moves I made that didn't complement my group, compared to the coordination of the other team. It was great to play PvP with the team again... but I still want to eat that lalafell, it's a dangerous one.
Just want to say thank you to PVP community of Aether for welcoming us and making this small Wolves Den tournament possible. I had a lot of fun this weekend! It's been too long since we had competitive PvP. I wish we could stay longer, so we can do some mix matches and stuff. Let's do something again like this in the future. If you guys decide to come stay or visit Ultros, remember, you guys got a home to chill at :) See you guys in the near future and lets help keep PvP alive in both data center! PvP in this game has alot of potential and a bright future. Well, until then, take care friends :)
No worries. We'll get another chance to play each other some time in the near future. Hope you guys enjoyed the experience!
Really looking forward to this!
Leave me alone ;-;
Thank you, everyone, for participating and making this Wolves' Den event possible! We had a lot of fun being able to play against teams with varying styles—some were much different than what we normally see on Primal. There are many amazing players on Aether who express great interest in Wolves' Den and show clear potential of becoming some of the best. I really hope that you guys will be able to run some events once every week or fortnight. If someone is able to record or stream the games, then that would be awesome. I can't wait to watch the intense matches that you guys can put forth against each other. Hopefully, we will be able to get another one of these events going in the near future. Thanks again for setting this up, accommodating us, and offering great games! We'll be taking our leave from Aether after the maintenance tonight, but keep in touch and keep the PvP strong! Take care, everyone.

Thanks again to everyone who participated. ;A; I'm so happy that there was so much interest. I would've been disappointed if we visited for nothing. Really fun matches and instant real PVP queues were amazing. It was fun fighting the different team comps and seeing how everyone adapted and strategized. I hope Aether will have more WD -- Perhaps another cross datacenter tournament could take place.
lol, poor Tea. :p
Thank you very much for stoppin by and gave us great challenge, that was really fun! Hope next time will be longer and more matches, It was feel too short! :p No seriously, really thank you for stoppin by, it definitely got people more intersted in doing it now. I hope to see more weekly for Aether soon!
I had great time chatting with all of you, hopefully i can catch Mona soon to chatting! :D
Once again, I'd like to thank Aether on behalf of Primal for being such gracious hosts. We had a lot of fun and were challenged in many ways that we did not experience on Primal. We're happy to see that Aether has so many PvP players that are enthusiastic about Wolves' Den and my only regret is not getting to personally meet all of you. I hope to be able to do mixed matches with Aether in the near future so that we can get to know one another, form an even stronger PvP community, and work together to take down that scrumptious lalafell of ours when he's on the opposing team :) . I know that we only met on the battlefield, but I'm going to miss you guys. Keep your PvP spirits strong, you guys are awesome and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I know that we'll all meet again so, until then, take care everyone!
If balmung's main team put as much effort into pvp as they put into smacktalking, they might have gone 50% win rate xD
seriously though, this was supposed to be a friendly event, saying "I want to find out where this b***h lives and kill her" and similar stuff every match on stream is not cool
What are you talking about? Lol. It's clear you're trying to start beef over nothing.
I watched the stream and grilling/erping isn't smacktalking. There is so much of it on Balmung it's acceptable.
Who is this "main team" by the way? All the groups on balmung were randomly made and played just as many matches.
All the previous post scream friendly, yet you are trying to ruin it. Perhaps you should have actually participated instead of spectating from the stands.
Video is up!
I don't have any beef and wasnt trying to start any, although i realise now that my choice of words was pretty retarded so thats my bad
http://www.twitch.tv/sbchhe/b/627678224 This was the vod i was watching and in 99% of the matches there was a pretty decent amount of smacktalk directed at only ayerro along with a pretty huge amount of sexual stuff, thats fair enough if its the norm on balmung but i was pretty taken abackQuote:
I watched the stream and grilling/erping isn't smacktalking.
Again, retarded wording on my part, i meant the team that Ultros fought the most, the one in the linked vodQuote:
Who is this "main team" by the way
I would like to, only issue is you guys played most matches between 4am my time and 10am my time because i live in england (Scrimming on ultros really messes with my sleep schedule, but Chaos DC has literally zero pvp scene)Quote:
Perhaps you should have actually participated instead of spectating from the stands.
I can't account for our healer's choice of words, he is always on edge. (I barely know him) There will always be frustration at times, but the friendly attitude displayed in both ayyero's stream and this thread shows that even through the rage people enjoyed the challange, and respect those who gave it.
And Ayyero participated in the ERP with Tai. Was kinda creepy tbh lol.
