We get 2 a week from Coil, So I get 1 twine a month there. RNG has been very unkind and I've only gotten 2 left side items in 14 weeks for my main. I have received 2 Twines from Coil and 2 from Hunts so far. Hunts are brain damage due to the immaturity in the community. It would be nice to have another avenue. (we will probably get that on Feb 24th but it would still be nice not to have to troll around in hunts)
I like the part where people act like hunts are actually hard. They are practically free as is. lol
6000 sol works too, I dont care. Hey, I'm even up for completely removing coats and twines from hunts. Hunts are simply the most boring piece of content this game has to offer.
If from tomes it would be poetics rather than soldiery. Personally I would of preferred they added the carbons to WoD like they did with sands and oils in ST instead of adding them to hunts. Hunts I think currently give the right amount/balance of seals but should of stuck with relic/zodiac/novus/nexus etc upgrade items rather than raid upgrade items from hunts.
400 Poetics for Carboncoat, 800 for Carbontwine.
Done.
Edit: I mean to replace their ability to be obtained via Hunts. Making them obtainable via Hunts this early was a bad idea. At least while Hunts are uncapped.
No, really they want to have an alternative method for obtaining high end gear because Hunts cannot reasonably support the number of people hunting at the moment. All other content that rewards soldiery has been set up to deal with large numbers of people doing this content.
It's not necessarily about making it easier per se. Arguably every dungeon boss is harder than most hunts are right now given how easily the bosses get zerged down. And the length of the grind would entirely be based upon how many soldiery are required per book. So a soldiery grind for books to turn into twine/coats can still take a long time, it just won't force you to participate in content that does not scale to the 100+ players that can actively be participating in it at any one time.
This would make more sense if allied seals had a weekly limit.
Hunts *can* be fun, when you're doing them with up to 20-30 people and you communicate well. Unfortunately, making hunts the sole method of obtaining these items (that isn't subject to the harsh coil weekly cap) brings out way too many people and causes it all to go to crap.
