So expect a new Tome for the level 60 characters. Also, remember 3.0 MS may be required if you want to unlock the new dungeons for 3.0 Expert Roulette due to new 3.0 dungeons along with the other Roulette.

On topic:

My main plan has changed from level Machinist to lvl 50 to level Dark Knight to level 50 once 3.0 release before going for 3.0 MSQ.

I totally agree with you that this is the precedent we currently have. I suppose I just have a hope that players will be given some small amount of time to level before being thrown back into the weekly cap process.

Well with 3.0 main scenario planned to be long as 2.0 or longer than 2.0, factor in players that want to enjoy 3.0 storyline and players that will aim for one or more of the 3 new jobs on 3.0 release before going for 3.0 MSQ, there shouldn't be many people at lvl 60 capping lvl 60 tomes during the 1st month or 2nd month of 3.0 so there should be no need to rush things with a good amount of players are doing other things beyond capping their tome limits.

Firstly, I will play with the Au RA in the character creator, See if I like it, and if I do switch my character to one. Then, if I do switch, Ill go watch all the 2.0 cutscenes in my inn room so that I can pretend I played the character all the way through 2.0.

After that I will level through the story content on one of my classes (No sure which yet). So that I can get to the end and do any story mode dungeons and watch the cutscenes before the dungeons become obsolete and people are just speed running them.

I will NOT switch to Au Ra lol, maybe I'll make an alt version of it. Will level my mains to 60 while working on main scenario. Then level/try out Astro and DK. :D

Well good luck with that.

The 1st month is usually just people over charging and undercutting things due to being new content items and usually the best route for marketing isn't set until around the 2nd or 3rd month once enough players have geared up and seen what new stuff is provided. Then the calculation of Supply and Demand kicks in.

Speaking of Beast Tribes, I wonder where will we get the Beast Tribe quests in 3.0 due to being in 3.0 areas. Only guess for now is one of the GC bases like the other beast tribes for now.

I personally would go for Beast tribe first since those can be done quite fast each day while still having enough time to unlock new dungeons and Primals that are not locked behind the Main Scenario quest.

On topic:
I think I may stick with Machinist for my main and get it to lvl 50 first. I just don't get the feeling when I play as a Tank compared to when I play as a Range DPS. However, then again I also like being a walking fortress which why I favor Tank Job as well when playing a RPG or MMO.

It's difficult to choose now since I can't try out both Jobs.

I enjoy the feeling being a walking fortress as a Tank Job but I also like the safe distance feeling as a Range DPS.
....So hard to choose which to main.....

Pretty confident that people will be working towards capping out on week one. I see the majority of players zerging fates, much like they did when the game first launched, to get to 60 as fast as possible. Remember the +50% xp is based on your highest level. This way after they get to 60 they can go back and do all the story quests to unlock expert and start gathering the new tomestones, or go back to level other jobs. While everyone is zerging fates it seems to make sense to join them. Given that fate grinding is the fastest way to level.

This also makes me wonder about the current poetics weekly cap. Like you said, the expansion is the likely place for a new tomestone. If true, then still having a weekly cap up until the expansion makes little sense. Especially so if the loot lockout is removed from WoD.

Create a female Au Ra and check out their animations, then decide if I wanna Fantasia to it.

Well it depends on how they handle 3.0 Main Scenario since some people will enjoy 3.0 MS storyline when going through it (watching every single cutscene both not recorded and recorded) while some may just skip every single cutscene because they don't care about the story. Besides, 1st week of release is usually just the rushers.

As for Poetic cap, it most likely may be removed on 3.0 like every other even number updates and the new Tomes will be given the weekly cap.

(PS I say not recorded and recorded because not all of the 3.0 cutscenes will be recorded in the Unending Journal similar to how not all 2.0 and 2.X cutscenes are recorded in the Unending Journel currently)

Create a female au ra and run through the beginner areas story in gridania, decide if she suits me well enough to play the whole story, level to 60 whm, unlock drk, level that, level drg.. level level, get married, glamor dress to /everything/ watch all the cutscenes from the game in my dress :3 wait for more to do.
