Probably Odin first since it seemed like I could get there the quickest and I've been dying to do the fight since watching it at fanfest.
Followed by unlocking and completing World of Darkness.
Then the Main Scenario.

Tuesday:
1. Main story or Odin depending on what my FC has planned
2. dungeons so i dnt miss a day on Ex roulette.
3. ??? trial
4. Odin if it wasnt the 1st thing i did.
5.Hildi stuff.
6. Gilgamesh so i unlock trial roulette.
7. Wiping alot in WoD cause people are too dumb to figure out whatever mechanic each boss has. Running it til i got my well deserved drops.
Wednesday onward:
1. Pony farm til my eyes bleed.
2. Rubbing my Kirin on people's faces.
Will likely keep crafting low level stuff to make money. We're still only 1/4 done with the budget for a large house X_x
I'm excited to finally play a Tremere in the World of Darkness.
My goal is to stand back and watch all the weirdo's try to finish the content in 2.1 billionths of a second......(sarcasm of course) and then tell us how much Yoshi screwed up because there wasn't enough (hard) content.
But seriously, not planning any goals...just going to enjoy the game.
1. Unlock ex roulette. Gotta get that back so I can get my daily alex map.
2. World of Darkness. I'm so freaking excited for this.
3. /hildy
4. Everything else.
My goal is to have my Novus by the time the Gold Saucer opens. That way I won't feel so bad losing all my gil there. But until I get my Novus, I need my gil for materia. And I need Ex Roulette for the Alexandrite.
I know what you mean there i remember the first day that ST came out i had already done it a few times that day but then went and did with a few FC member who had not been there let and people barking orders at people for doing thing wrong when the content had only been out for about 10 hours and i bet it will be the same with WOD people barking order at new players for the simple thing.
im also glad that my Fc is Odin ready so we dont have to deal with day 1 training party elitists and the day 1.5/2 must have downed or 2 fail = kick partys
Since the main story seems to unlock Keeper of the Lake, I'll probably work towards that first and do some progress on WoD/etc while getting in queue for Keeper to do it once. Then I'll probably queue up World of Darkness as I run around and do the other stuff.
Get home from work, do 15 fetch quests to unlock WoD. Get in and someone types a 4 pages long post in chat "here are all the mechanics, don't screw up". Then throw my remote and give up.
Working on light, because I will not be rushing to do expert because it will be locked.
This, luckily for me it's my day off. So provided my wife allows me, I should be able to clear through the main scenario which would include keeper of the lake and the mystery trial. After those I will go to unlocking trial and expert roulette so, WP hard, AK hard, Gilgamesh (Hildibrand) and Odin. Depending on how long all that takes the only thing left then is moogle delivery and World of Darkness.
It should be all doable in 1 day, not including farming WoD for drops and the new PvP, I have only ran the 4v4 pvp maybe 3 times and never touched frontlines so maybe I will have a look at frontlines and the new pvp the next day to break up WoD grinding lol.
At the very least unlocking trial and expert roulette and doing them should be done in a day. (16 quests, 3 trials, 3 dungeons plus one extra trial and dungeon for running the roulette)
I have a backlog of approximately eleventy-billion quests to do, so the first thing I will do on patch day is summon Jandelaine and see the new hairstyles. :p
Step 1 - Download the patch and update FFXIV
Step 2 - Log in and hope to not get hit by 90k, 2002, 1014 errors
Step 3 - Start Main Scenario
Step 4 - World of Darkness
Step 5 - Catch up
1. Go to the inn
2. Check the new hairstyles
3. Notice I've been pondering over them for an hour
4. Cancel and leave inn
5. Change mind and go back to get that new hairstyle anyway
Wanderer's Palace hm -> WoD -> other new dungeons -> MQ -> Hildebrand.
Hope I can get it all done in one evening, patch finishes at 8pm in Japan :(
my goal? Try the content before people scream at each other that it should be known how to do everything.
my only concern first day is getting main story done, before some clown shoe starts shouting spoilers in Mor Dhona. Everything else will probably be done within the week. Although if there's new crafting MH tools (again) I'll probably just blow them off until 3.0, or forever. It's already ridiculous what they put crafters through every patch
Unlock everything other than the main story related content.
Run WoD a few times.
Unlock / run the frontlines duty roulette and hope that I get slaughter as my first one.
HM dungeons.
Main story.
Hildi.
1 unlocking world of darkness
2 unlocking frontlines savage
farming them for a few days b4 i do anything else lol
1) Betray the Scions
2) Help Ascians
3) Open the Gate Of Darkness
1) Wait until Jan 21st and yell at all the people doing content wrong, and instruct them how to do it in a rude elitist manner.
Run WoD til I get either NIN or BLM gear drop... then Hildibrand quest... then (if there's time) main scenario.
WoD and the new dungeons. I LOVE running content without being bashed for not knowing the fights that well. I do watch videos but still it's nice to be abe to run something for the first time when everyone there is new as well
Get new i110 accs (if there is any)
1. Queue WoD as Healer, hit Withdraw with 2 seconds left cause S Rank popped
2. Requeue, let timer run out because I decided to go to the store and didn't want to give up my place in queue in case it popped after I got back
3. Queue again, hit Withdraw when it's ready to start cause I shouldn't have to fail my HQ lvl 50 craft just cause 23 other people want to start a dungeon, I pay for this game too after all
4. Run around doing story quests for half an hour
5. Queue WoD as Healer, hit Withdraw with 2 seconds left because I realized I wanted to do something else right then
6. Run around doing story quests and unlocking stuff for half an hour
7. Repeat 5 and 6 until all content is unlocked and ready to run
Just kidding I hate players who think like this, but I bet quite a few will get their 3 non-commencement lockouts by noon.
I'm excited for the new Tower Run and want to check out the new retainer stuff. I do wish they would come out with LONG HAIR for the women. We need long hair for our avatar's, none of this short punk rock hair styles. UGH. Can't wait till Tuesday and I have the day off as well. WOOT. Oh, and how about more sexy outfits. :)
I'll be living in golden saucer for at least 2 weeks.
ah, well that's disappointing.
Oh well, just one more month.
Least that will give me a chance to experience the other stuff instead of focusing on one thing :P
Make gil. I'm 10 infusions away from my 2nd Novus weapon and I just lost 6 DTR 4 materia in a row. On my server, they go anywhere from 500-630k right now so this makes me sad :(
Hopefully I'll have time to explore some of the new content though.
Side note: I don't trust SE's percentages for melds, desynthesis, or crafting/gathering. I know RNG is RNG, law of large numbers, confirmation bias etc. but still I can't help but be skeptical at times...
Nothing now my wife is working crazy hours. Sleep till 7 AM goto work by 8 AM. Then she is working over time doing a server deployment till 11 PM Ya it's going to be a long day. Then she will come home pass out.
I don't play without my wife.
I don't really have any goals. Nothing in this patch that's overly special. Bring on triple triad.
